Carson's Cards for Cancer Update

Happy Saturday!

I wanted to share a post from Facebook...
Kelsey and I want to "THANK" everyone that has contributed to the Carson's Cards for Cancer. During the past week we have had an overwhelming response and we are truly appreciative for ALL the support. Our goal was to raise $707 (the co-pay for just one cancer medicine) and we are currently at $532.50. We are now making thank you (Kristen, I am working on yours) and New Years cards and we can make birthday cards/tags too. THANK YOU again! Denny's next treatment is Christmas Eve and we are planning to surprise him then. Hopefully this will add a little cheer to his day.

Here are a few of the most recent cards we have created...

Thank you again for all your support!

Personalized Birthday Using Die Cuttin' Diva Sketch

Happy Saturday,

I have a couple personalized birthday cards to share that I made for a friend's grandkids. This Minnie Mouse is a favorite...it's just so cute with all the pink. I cut the Minnie and letters/number with my Cameo, the stitched dies and stamped sentiment are by MFT, and the pattern papers are from Paper Studio. I added a few sequins since girls love bling.

I used the following sketch from Die Cuttin' Divas for my Minnie Mouse card.

I used my Cameo to cut the tractor and letters/number. The stamped sentiment is by Cardz TV Stamps and the stitched dies are by MFT.
Other Challenges:

I took really quick pictures rather than pulling out the light box, but I plan on setting it back up today. I need to put away a bunch of stamps and get organized. Feeling good and productive!

Enjoy your weekend,
Georgiana

Paw Patrol Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends,

Happy Friday! This week sure flew by...we had quarterly testing a couple days, a field trip to the middle school, I had car duty after school every day, and then I have been making some Easter treats late at night. Overall, it was a productive week, but so much more to still do before end of the year exams. Yikes...we are NOT ready yet!

A co-worker asked my to make her grandson a personalized birthday card...his birthday is April 1st and can you guess how old he is going to be? If you guessed 3 then you are correct. His favorite show is Paw Patrol, which I don't think I have ever seen but she sent me a picture. I picked out the dalmation wearing a fireman's hat.

I cut the Create a Critter dalmatian on my Cricut. I changed the hat slightly...it had a 1 on a badge, but I needed a 3. His name fit on the brim perfectly.

The stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom. The pattern paper is by The Paper Studio ~ Candy Confetti stack. The black enamel dots are from my stash.
If you are looking to join any challenges this weekend you should stop by Craftaholics R Us. The theme is enamel dots. I used three black ones on mine.

I hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start.

Happy Birthday Baby Deer

Hello Everyone,

Hard to believe it is December...this year has quickly passed by and before you know it 2018 will be here. I started to clean my craft room yesterday since I knew my daughter was coming home from college for Winter Break. As I was organizing, it made me think about how much I love my crafty area. I laid out a bunch of projects on a side table that I plan on working on for/with my students next week and I hope they appreciate the arts just as much. I will be sharing photos of all the projects we make this year within the next two weeks!

Here is my Design Team project...
Today is my day to share at Miss Kate Cuttables. I created this birthday card for a friend's grandson. She asked me to personalize it (which she always does) and said the little boy's daddy loves camouflage. I just had to add a balloon since I figured all kids love them, especially when it says how old they are going to be.

I used the Baby Deer file from Miss Kate Cuttables and it was super easy to cut on my Cameo.
Other Materials:
brown, green, and white cardstock
MFT dies (Blueprint 20)
Trendy Twine

Do you know anyone with a birthday this month? My sister and two nieces have birthdays in December. I always feel bad for them. Their special days tend to blend in with Christmas.

Be sure to stop by Miss Kate Cuttables for your freebie...one every day.

Every Princess Needs a Crown

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday!

Today is my day to post at Miss Kate CuttablesBefore I share my daily post, I want to remind you there is a free file that you can download every day. YES! Every day a new and different one. Be sure to get yours today!

Here is my Design Team project...
Every princess needs a crown and a 10 year old definitely needs a pearl for each year she has ruled her household. Personalizing is just an extra touch to add a smile.

I used the Princess Crown which was super easy to cut on the Cameo. I cut it in three layers...grey, white, and pink. I added silver glitter glue to the center heart. Lastly, the stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Sweet Birthday Wishes set.

Miss Kate Cuttables has lots of files to choose from, so check out all the categories, bundles, and deals today!

Can You Guess the Birthday Request?

Yippee! It is Friday!
This week went by extremely slow. I had to ask my students almost every day what day it was since I had a difficult time keeping track. Well, it is the weekend now and closer to Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to the holiday and the upcoming shopping sales.

Last night I made a few personalized birthday cards for a fellow teacher. She made specific requests to be included. I wonder if you can figure them out. Here are two of them.

Here is my first card...
Can you guess what she requested?
Did you guess for a biology teacher named AJ who was turning 27?
I used the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge for the stack of books with apple (p. 62) cut at 2 1/2". The scalloped square was cut from Elegant Edges (P. 30) at 3" and the font is Plantin Schoolbook. The paper is Fancy Pants Design.

I loosely used the Tuesday Morning Sketches for both of these cards, but I am not linking because I am going to make another card true to the sketch.

The second card...
Try guessing again!
Did you guess the birthday boy, Andy, is a physical trainer?

The sentiment was cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge and the paper is American Craft ~ Darling Dear.

Hoping you have a fabulous weekend! I have plans to craft and get school work done. My intern's last day was today, so back to planning and teaching full-time all on my own. : )

Going for a Tractor Ride

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by!
Yesterday was a productive day...our cable/internet/phone service was out for half the day; therefore, I spent my time focused on crafting and not reading (or surfing) on the computer. Wow! I need to turn off the computer and more work will get accomplished.

I was asked to make a birthday card for a little boy (pronounced Jobe) who loves tractors. My first thought was John Deere and the colors green and yellow. Plus, every tractor has to have enormous wheels!
I used the following sketch from Mojo Monday. What a fun layout!
I was trying to add some stitching around the edges and the thread came undone (the sewing machine and I are still trying to get to know each other), but I didn't notice until I had part of one side stitched. After examining the edge, I decided I liked the look and continued around the entire border. I also discovered a trick how to keep my lines straight. Now I am feeling confident to do some more stitching on my cards! I told you it was a productive day!
Materials:
K&Company paper ~ Edamame stack
olive green, yellow, black, and cream card stock
Boys Will be Boys Cricut cartridge ~ tractor (p. 37) cut at 2"
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge ~ font cut at 1/2"

It's Not to Late for Valentines at Little Scrap Pieces

Hello Crafty Friends,

I can't believe so much time has past and how fast time flies by. I forgot to post my Little Scrap Pieces Design Team project with all that has been happening. School has occupied most of my time during the past two to three weeks since FCAT Writes is next week. It is a VERY stressful time! Many of you know that I teach, but I had to change grade levels this year after 10 years and writing is the primary focus (versus math and science that was in 5th grade ~ I was Science Lead Teacher for years and love math). The standardized test is next Tuesday, so wish my class luck! The highest score is a 6 and I am hoping to get one (or two or three).

Here is my Design Team project...
Valentine's Day
If you didn't post one or forgot like me, this challenge is perfect for you.

Materials:
K&Company paper
grey, black, and pink card stock
Create a Critter Cricut cartridge ~ mouse
Sweethearts Cricut cartridge ~ balloons
twine
pink skittles by Carri
computer generated names

Hope you will join us at Little Scrap Pieces this week for our Valentine's Day challenge. Can't wait to see your project.

Welcome Sweeties!

I am so glad you decided to visit today. We have a great line-up with so many wonderful projects for the Valentine season. I hope you will be feeling the love after you have seen what we have created. There are only 10 of us, so enjoy the crafts and the goodies along the way.

Here is the line-up and each site will provide a link to the next crafter.

Carri @ A Busy Bee
Celeste @ C.C's Cards and Crafts
Libby @ Beach Creations
Heather @ House Built of Cards
Lisa @ Lisa's Scrap'n Shack
Tracy @ Craft Junkie Too
Star @ Star's Paper Passion

My first card used layered florals as the focal point with Bo Bunny printed paper as the background. There is a black flower brad in the center of the dainty pink petals.

This card below was a special treat (although it is not Valentine related, it is definitely filled with LOTS of LOVE) and I hope the couple that receives this has a beautiful wedding and a happy marriage. A co-worker asked me to make a wedding card after she showed me an invitation. I asked for a piece of the vellum that was included and then I thought how perfect it would be to have a personalized card.
This  card was created for a co-worker's grandkid for Valentine's Day. Can you tell the grandma thinks she is the sweetest? The name is sure to make the little one smile.
Simply Charmed

What is a hop without some goodies?
I am offering a lovely kit that includes: papers, stickers, and chipboards. There are also black letters, a flower stamp, and silver gems.
Please leave a comment with a way to contact you and share what your "sweetest" memory is for a chance to win these goodies. The winner will be selected by Random.org and then announced on Tuesday, February 8th.

As a special bonus since I am feeling quite sweet this morning, if I reach 415 followers or receive 75 comments I will give away another prize pack. If both occur then I will give away two extra goodies. Oh, how I am feeling super sweet now! :)

Be sure to visit Cheryl at Cards by CG next.
 She always has something amazing!

Enjoy and Stay Creative,
Georgiana
