It's a Week Full of Love at Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday!
Valentine's Day is only a few days away. I am looking forward to visiting the classes to see all the students' cards and see how they enjoy their parties. I am already starting to feel the love!

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
Love ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I made these Hershey Nugget boxes from My Scrap Chick for a few of my co-workers. The base of the box is heavy white cardstock and the sliding lid is paper from Pebbles. Some of the boxes have a heart window cut out while a couple don't. I used transparency film to cover the windows so there was no poking the candy treat.

Each nugget was wrapped using the Jaded Blossom candy wrap die. I found some red, white, and pink twine in my stash and added a tiny tag stamped by My Craft Spot (closed).
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Love" challenge. The design team sure is feeling smitten with their awesome projects! If you like what you see, please become a follower so you do not miss any of my creations.  Be sure to leave your blog name and I will stop by to see what you have been making!

Not Just Cards February Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy Monday!
The weekend went by too fast since I went to a Boat Show on Saturday and then spent yesterday at a Baby Shower for my first niece. She is due in April and had quite a turn out. We teased her about having enough room for the baby with all her new stuff.  I am already looking forward to next weekend since it's a three day one with President's Day although I don't have any plans yet. Rest and relaxation may be enough.

Today is the first day of the Not Just Cards Challenge for February.

Here is my Design Team project...
Since I don't have a class of my own any more and visit lots of others for math and science, I decided to make some treats for the classes that I visit the most. These monster pops by My Scrap Chick are for a Kindergarten class.

I cut all the pieces with my Cameo trying to use up scraps of white, black, pink, and red.

The noses are cherry flavored Blow Pops and the wrappers have cute phrases for Valentine's.
Hope you will join us at Not Just Cards for the February Challenge since you can create anything you would like.

Thursday Treats at My Mouse Dreams

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am making a special guest designer appearance today at My Mouse Dreams for Thursday Treats after a conversation with Beckie and I am super excited to be a part of a her new series to showcase treat holders. I love to make treat bags for family, friends, students, and co-workers. The look on their face always makes me happy and want to make more. Valentine's Day is approaching quickly, so I am getting started now.

Today's Project...
I found this cute gift box (Unicorn Splash Box) on Silhouette Design Store and added a few pieces from my collection to personalize it. I used both my Cricut and Cameo to create today's treat holder.

The MFT stitched scalloped circle fits in the center and any die-cut or image would be perfect. I found this hippo colored by my daughter in her craft area and snatched it up (I figured she hadn't used him yet, so why not showcase him.). He just looks so happy. The stamped sentiment is from the same MFT Happy Hippo stamp set. The Hershey Nuggets were covered with Jaded Blossoms Candy Wraps and the hearts were cut from MFT Blueprints 13.

Every treat bag needs a big bow! I just got this MFT Stitched Beautiful Bow die set not too long ago and decided it fit perfectly. I watched a video because the first time I cut the bow and tried to wrap it around it had creases. Yuck! The video said to prep the paper. I had to rub the paper between my fingers and curve it. It worked!  No creases!
I am so glad Beckie has started this Treat Thursday series. Perhaps you could be next to share your favorite treat holder. Leave a message and she may ask you too!

Anything Goes at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges

Oh La La! It's a day to share some love!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I am also sharing the new challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges. I hope you will join us this week with any type of project you create. It can be a card, a layout, 3D project, birthday themed, anything! The possibilities are endless!

This Week's Challenge...
~ Anything Goes ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I started off making a half dozen of these tags from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon. I had some Valentine colored M&Ms and wanted to make a few different ways to share them.
I started with a candy tube ( I used the color challenge from last week's Color Throwdown.).

I cut the tag on my Cameo, stamped the Jaded Blossom sentiment, and then attached with a piece of ribbon.

Then I put some in a paint can (Michaels).

Lastly, I just used a clear bag because it doesn't really matter how you get the treat...M&Ms are still yummy any way you receive them!

Valentine's Day at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Diva Fans!
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for checking out my new projects!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Valentine's Day ~

Here is my Design Team project...
Looking for a sweet treat for your favorite Valentine. How about some Tootsie pops? I found this heart shaped glass jar at Dollar Tree along with the bundle of cherry flavored pops. I just had to add a tag (the red sheer ribbon was even included).

The tag is by Jaded Blossom and I cut it with my Cuttlebug. The scalloped circle, sheep stamp, and cute sentiment are by My Favorite Things. I heat embossed the sheep with ebony embossing powder which prevents the markers from bleeding. I used a Spectrum Noir red for the heart and a Chamelon brown for the hooves and ear.

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Valentine's Daychallenge.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for visiting!

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges. I hope you will join us this week and share some love.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Valentine Cards or Treats ~

Here is my Design Team project...
Making more Valentine treats for the class. This file is from SVG Cutting Files and is part of the trio set I made a couple weeks ago (see here).

I used Recollection and Pebbles paper from my stash, but love all the pinks. You could use this for any other holiday by excluding the heart shape and changing the color theme. Students ALWAYS need pencils!

Stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.

Valentine Critters

Happy Friday!
This has been a stressful week (I didn't do that great with my goal of not taking school work home with me. I will need to do better next week!) and I am glad it is almost the weekend. Of course, what better way to start the weekend than with a couple of cute Valentine critters.

Today's project...
The school secretary asked me to make a couple of Valentine cards for her grandbabies. Who could object? I said definitely!

I used the following sketch by Sketch Saturday for the layout of the card.
This cutie is by PPnN. It is an oldie (and probably not available any more), but I had it in my SVG file library and couldn't resist for the 1 year granddaughter. It is her first Valentine. I added cherry glitter glue on her heart shaped nose to match the sparkly enamel dot on the bow. The sentiment strips are by My Favorite Things and the stamped sentiment is an old wooden stamp from Michaels dollar bin. I just love the font!

This cute Valentine raccoon is by Miss Kate Cuttables. Be sure to check out all the Valentine files...what a fabulous selection!
Other Challenges:

Hope you have a fabulous weekend. I plan on taking some time to relax, go out to eat, shop, watch a movie or two on the Hallmark Channel, and craft. Sounds like a perfect way to de-stress! Hope it goes as planned.

Valentine Lollipops for My Class

Hi Everyone!

Been sleeping some odd hours lately, so I decided to use the time wisely...not grading papers! Instead I have been crafting, commenting, searching for new goodies, and looking for challenges. I think that is definitely a better way to spend my time. The student work will still be there tomorrow when I head back to school!

Since it has been quite frigid and and I seem to be attached to my little portable heater, I have been busy in my craft room. It has been a long time since I have been this far ahead of a holiday. I am extremely surprised and thrilled with myself. Happy Early Valentine! 💖

Today's project...
I made treats for my students. I wonder if they know how lucky they are to get these homemade goodies. Of course, I know 10 year olds and I don't want to over-do with embellishments.

I bought the lollipops at the Dollar Tree.  I tied each one closed with some peppermint twine from Divine Twine. The stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom ~ Valentine Treats.

The lollipops are the slim heart shaped (cherry flavor) pops that fit nicely between the cover.

I used the following svg file ~ Valentine Treat Pack Set from SVG Cutting Files. It is on sale and it has three different pieces, so you can make a variety of treats. I haven't made the pencil one, but I may since my students never have enough or they seem to disappear daily!
Challenges:
Inspire. Create ~ Love
DL.Art ~ January Linky Party
Cardz TV ~ Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!

Wood U Be Mine

Hello Crafty Friends!
Hubby hasn't been around today since he has been helping our son build a table, so I have been keeping busy. Went to Hobby Lobby and Michaels this morning, finished a couple projects, took a few pictures and edited them, and now I am sharing.

Today's project...
I bought this Sizzix die at the Scrapbook Expo last year and had to put it away in the Valentine's box until now. It sure is a neat little die. I am glad I had some wood grain paper.

I used the following sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

First, I used my hand held Tim Holtz tool for distressing the edges of the pattern paper. I then mounted the heart on foam squares for dimension, added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to the "u", and adhered a bow to the tiny limb to match the buttons. Those oblong buttons were deep in my stash, but I thought they filled the space on the sketch nicely.

Hope you have a cozy night!

I saw a fox on my way home from the store the other day, so I have been thinking about using one since that day. My hubby likes to tease me and told me it was a dog, but I know the difference!

The stamped sentiment is by Scrappy Moms Stamps.

Here is my Design Team project...
I decided to make Valentine tags for my student's gift bags.  Since I have 20 students, I made 20 tags.

I used Multi Jewels which come in a variety of colors. I used the smallest pink jewels for the corner of my tags.

The tag base is by Miss Kate Cuttables, but the top layer is another file. The heart is from the mailbox I posted yesterday (SVG Cuts) and the stamped sentiment is by Whimsical Designs. I cut all the pieces with my Cameo.

I used pink ribbon and a black and white twine to attach the tag to the bag.

Here is the gift bag from yesterday's Valentine blog hop. I think it looks awesome together. If you missed the hop scroll down and check out the projects and blog candy. You still have time!

Candy Grams for Valentine's Day

Hello Everyone!

Today is my day to post at Miss Kate Cuttables. Before I share my design team project,  I want to remind you there is a free file that you can download every day. YES! Every day a new and different one. Be sure to get yours today!

Today's Freebie...Click Here

Here is my Design Team project...
I have been working on Valentine Candy Grams for school. Students and staff may "buy" one flower for 10 Box Tops (there is not limit on how many you can "buy"). My students will be delivering them to the recipients on Valentine 's Day.

I used traditional Valentine colors...pinks and purple for the first 50. I used a long reach hole puncher to cut a whole in the center for the lollipop stick. I plan on making red ones for the next 50.
I used the following MKC files...Valentine flower and Cute flower.
The heart shaped petals were cut from Valentine Flower and the leaves were cut from Cute Flower.

The sentiment on the green leaf is from a Recollections stamp set.

Miss Kate Cuttables has LOTS of files to choose from, so check them out today.
