With Deepest Sympathy

Hello Crafty Friends,

My husband asked me to make a couple sympathy cards for two principals that are also brothers. Their mother passed away last week and we wanted to let them know we are thinking of them during their loss.

This first card features the peace dove from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. The sentiment is from K Andrews.

The second card has a Spellbinders (Fancy Tags Two) as the focal point with the same sentiment. Gold and black pearls along with a gold bow add a splash of color, but still keep it clean and simple.
Other Materials:
My Mind's Eye pattern paper
white, grey, green, black, yellow, and pink card stock
Versafine Black Onyx ink
white pearls

Feeling the Love

Happy Valentine's Day!

Love is in the air and cupid is shooting his arrows in every direction. Hoping you enjoy this day and spend some time with someone you love.

Here are a few cards I made Thursday night...I had to take really quick pictures to get them out (so the lighting may not be the best since I didn't use my light box).

For this first card I used the Spellbinders Heart Square die. I have had it for a while, but never used it. I added fabric hearts (they are a bit puffy too) along with a sentiment by Whimsical Designs stamp (With Love set ~ unfortunately it is no longer available).

This second card features a lock and key by Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. I created the sentiment using Word and the crinkle ribbon is by 3 Girl JAM. Small back pearls were added in the upper right corner.

The last card has an embossed  background, which was created with a heart folder. Then the Spellbinders ~ Floral Oval was centered. I added a computer created sentiment and white pearls. More fabric hearts were adhered around the focal point.
 Other Materials:
white, black, pink, red, and cream card stock
My Mind's Eye pattern paper

Hope you have a lovely day!

Valentine's Photo Inspiration at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by. Hoping I can inspire you to be creative! Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas

The Challenge...
Valentine Photo Inspiration

Here is my Design Team project...
A guilty free box of chocolates for Valentines.

First, the edges of the card stock was distressed with the Zutter DIA. I used my bow maker for this triple bow and hot glued the heart brad in the center. The banner was stamped and then tucked under the bow.

I used the Valentine Chocolates file from Miss Kate Cuttables. YUM! It was super easy to cut the pieces (I used my Cameo) and then they layered together nicely.
Other Materials:
red, cream, tan, and brown card stock
My Mind's Eye pattern paper
brown sheer ribbon
Studio G brown ink
red heart brad
Skittles by Carri
K Andrews stamp
Ranger Archival ink ~ potting soil

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Valentine Photo Inspirationchallenge. The other design team members have interpreted this photo, and all the projects are so different. Be sure to check them out.

Hope you will join the challenge this week!

Love for a Cupcake

Hello Crafty Friends,

Let's start this week off right...with a chocolate cupcake! M-M-M...delicious!
I found this Valentine cupcake at Miss Kate Cuttables. Have you noticed I like these files?! They are so easy to use!

I made the banner using my metal die from the We Are Memory Keepers set I previously mentioned I bought at Amazon. The letters were cut using the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge at 3/4". I then used my Martha Stewart glue pen to adhere the twine along the top edge. Small bows finished off the ends.

Inside of card...
Other Materials:
grey, white, pink, and brown card stock
My Mind's Eye pattern paper ~ Love Me stack
Ranger Archival ink ~ potting soil

Forever Yours Owl

Hello Crafty Friends,

Thanks for stopping by...I hope everyone is doing well. Everything is fabulous here at the Carson's. We have had a busy week and this next week will be too.

Today I would like to share this Valentine's Day (or possibly anniversary) card. It puts a smile on my face, but of course, I am not giving myself a card for V-Day.

The owl is from Treasure Box Designs (it was a past freebie), which I cut on my Cameo. I inked all the edges with a pink before assembling and added two fabric heart brads I found in my stash (that is always fun...it seems like shopping without spending money).

The stamp is from Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ With All My Heart set. I used my bow maker to create the double bow.

The inside coordinates with the front.
Other Materials:
black and white chevron paper
red, white, pink, yellow, and black card stock
red gingham ribbon
red heart button
white embroidery floss
Versafine Black Onyx ink

Hope you have a great day!

Go Team! Pick Your Football Helmet Colors

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope you enjoyed your weekend. I sure did! Of course, it always goes by too fast and then I spend all week looking forward to the next one. While most people were having their Super Bowl parties I spent the day crafting away. It sure was fun! I actually accomplished a few projects on my list, but still have more to create.

This was one card that was requested by a co-worker. It is for an Ohio State fan. I went thru all my fonts in Design Studio and found this "O" which looks quite similar to the team's.

The helmet is from Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons. It is a plain helmet, but you can choose your team colors and add logos. Perfect for next year's season! These would also make awesome party invitations for any little man's birthday.

The arrow banner was part of a set I found on Amazon by We Are Memory Keepers. Little black pearls add some bling, but not too much so it still looks masculine.
Other Materials:
white, silver, black, and red card stock
My Mind's Eye pattern paper ~ Everyday Basic stack
My Craft Spot stamp ~ Tiny Tags 3 set
Versafine Black Onyx ink

Hope you have a great day!

Be Mine Treat Bag

Happy Sunday!

Today may be Super Bowl Sunday, but for me...it is a great day to craft since everyone will be watching TV. I have a project list that I hope to accomplish. Here is another 3D project I made this past week...a Valentine treat bag. It is the same type of bag that I used for the cupcake (Dollar Tree ~ 12 pack), but I changed the front design.

Miss Kate Cuttables Valentine bee sitting on top of a pink heart shaped doily.

I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the hearts. Extra small hearts were adhered to the handle.

A Tiny Tag by My Craft Spot with pink sparkly Valentine ribbon. I had a small piece of this black and white twine sitting on the table, so I thought why not use it.
Other Materials:
yellow, white, gray, black, and pink card stock
K Andrews stamp
Versafine Black Onyx ink
black tissue paper

Challenges:

Hope you have a fabulous Super Bowl Sunday!
