Happy Bee-day at Sunny Day Crafting

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am sharing as a new Design Team member at Sunny Day Crafting. I am a floater, so I can create and post as my schedule allows which is stress-free. Thanks Janis for allowing me to participate! I sure am enjoying being able to craft again!

This Week's Challenge...
~ B is for Bumble Bee ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I pulled up all my bee svg files and this one made me smile with the little hearts on his feet. He is by Treasure Box Designs and it is still available.

I used the following sketch from Feeling Sketchy. I did have to move the sentiment to the lower right corner because of the size of that stamp, but the over-all layout is the same.

I cut the bee on my Cameo and layering the pieces were easy.
Hope you will join us at Sunny Day Crafting this week for our "Bumble Beechallenge. Be sure to check out the other crafters. No need to worry about getting stung, These bees are all too cute!

Buzzz...Call Me! It's a Queen Bee Challenge

Hello Everyone! Happy Sunday!

Hubby and I went blueberry picking this morning. First time this season and I am looking forward to making some Blueberry Buckle (it is a coffee cake with fresh blueberries and a crumbly topping...yummy delicious).

About a week and half ago I was guest designer for Connie Can Crop and I decided to make another card for her monthly challenge...Queen Bee

This Stuffy Bee is by Treasure Box Designs and it was easily cut on my Cameo. Edges were inked in yellow or black. Aren't the pink hearts on his feet a cute addition!

Black skittles by Carri at DoubleClick.

This sentiment and doily die is from My Craft Spot (closed). The circle die is by MFT. Both were cut with my Cuttlebug.
Other Materials:
DCWV pattern paper ~ Lemon Flower stack
yellow, black, pink, grey, and white card stock
black ink ~ Versafine Black Onyx

You still have time! You have until midnight on Saturday, April 30th to link it up.
Connie will draw one random winner. The winner will not be based on skill or talent,
but based on just completing the challenge.

I sure hope you will join the challenge this month!

Be Mine Treat Bag

Happy Sunday!

Today may be Super Bowl Sunday, but for me...it is a great day to craft since everyone will be watching TV. I have a project list that I hope to accomplish. Here is another 3D project I made this past week...a Valentine treat bag. It is the same type of bag that I used for the cupcake (Dollar Tree ~ 12 pack), but I changed the front design.

Miss Kate Cuttables Valentine bee sitting on top of a pink heart shaped doily.

I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the hearts. Extra small hearts were adhered to the handle.

A Tiny Tag by My Craft Spot with pink sparkly Valentine ribbon. I had a small piece of this black and white twine sitting on the table, so I thought why not use it.
Other Materials:
yellow, white, gray, black, and pink card stock
K Andrews stamp
Versafine Black Onyx ink
black tissue paper

Challenges:

Hope you have a fabulous Super Bowl Sunday!

Buzz! Buzz! Love is in the Air

Welcome Back Crafty Friends,

I am glad you decided to stop by again. I have been busy as a bee buzzing around my crafty area! Love is definitely in the air!

Here is another Valentine's Day card...
(Thinking of you Carri!)
This bee was a freebie from Miss Kate Cuttables (it is now 35 cents). The base of my card was cut from Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge. There are quite a few different shapes (sign feature) that I have been using to avoid the typical rectangular base.
This Scrappy Moms stamp is part of the With All My Heart set.
The pink polka dot paper was inked then embossed with a Tim Holtz honeycomb folder. Lastly, small red die cut hearts were scattered in a few of the spaces.

Other Materials:
yellow, pink, black, grey, and white card stock
black and pink ink

Challenges:

Hoping to make a few Valentine treat bags for my class party on Friday. I have seen LOTS of fun ones that my students would love.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another Whimsical Wednesday.
The Challenge ~ Flowers

Here is my Design Team project...

The background paper has a periwinkle blue daisies. There is a yellow flower in the upper left corner.
I attempted to make a yellow ribbon bow to look like a flower. What do you think?
The bee who will travel as far as it needs to for pollen found another flower. I thought it matched the sentiment on the stamp perfectly.

yellow an dblack card stock
Live Simply Cricut cartridge ~ bee with flower cut at 2 1/4"
yellow ribbon
yellow self adhesive flower
yellow gems
Whimsical Designs stamps
black ink

Buzzzz...Buzzzz...I'm Thinking of You

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another Whimsical Wednesday.
Today's challenge is to create a shaped card...any shape, but not a square. First, I was going to create a circular card, but I didn't want it to roll away. Yes, believe it not I have made cards that roll! So...I decided to make a pentagon shape card...a 5 sided polygon (We will be working on Geometry next week.).

Here is my Design Team project...
The Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge has quite a few bases you can choose from. Just use the sign feature.
I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use this embossing folder I special ordered. It is by Tim Holtz and it was in a two pack with a bubble wrap design.
I added brown glitter glue to his bodice and antennae.
Here is a sample of the sign feature.
Materials:
American Crafts paper
blue, brown, and white card stock
Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge ~ base (p. 40) cut at 4 1/2"
Give a Hoot Cricut cartridge ~ bee (p 37) cut at 2"
Tim Holtz (Sizzix) hexagon embossing folder
brown glitter glue
brown ribbon
brown pearls
wiggly eyes
Whimsical Designs stamp ~ Everyday Sentiments
Vintage Photo ink by Tim Holtz

This week's sponsor...
4 digi stamps

Be sure to stop by Whimsical Designs to see the other design team projects! Can't wait to see what you create for this "Shaped Card" challenge.

Let's Challenge Each Other with a Bee

Hi!

What a fun time Carri and I have been having today. We decided that we would each create a card using the same challenges (listed below) and then the same exact Cricut cut. Carri selected the bee from Give a Hoot (p. 37). How did I know she was going to pick that one? I am so glad she did! : )

Here is my card...

 Materials:
all papers are from the scrap box
Give a Hoot Cricut cartridge ~ bee (p. 37) cut at 2 1/2"
Swiss Dots embossing folder
black and white buttons
yellow ribbon
yellow craft thread
wiggly eyes
Spellbinder Nestabilities Labels Six ~ sentiment
computer generated sentiment

Here are the challenges we both incorporated:

Be sure to visit Carri now and see how her card looks. It is amazing how we agreed to the same cut and the same challenges, BUT we still have cards that are very unique. I love crafting!

Georgiana
