Birthday, Birthday, and More Birthdays

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have been super busy with school for the past two months and it seems like there is always more to do to help student's improve. I am constantly planning meaningful lessons and striving to help each student make progress. Hopefully all the tweaking I am doing will pay off!

I miss my crafting time and hope to be able to resume soon. It would be nice to find a challenge or sketch that I like and be able to use supplies that are collecting dust. I know! It is sad!

Here a few requested cards that I made during the past month/month-and-a-half, but haven't shared yet. Each one followed a sketch, which is posted too.

Give a Hoot (2") and Plantin Schoolbook

Hello Kitty (3") and Plantin Schoolbook

Nifty Fifties (3 1/4")

Paisley (3")

I bought some chocolate candy to make some Halloween treats the other day when Joanns had it on sale for 50% off, so I am looking forward to making some treats for my class. I pulled out all my Halloween molds and have them ready. I really want to be able to take some more card orders too, especially with the holidays approaching.

Looking forward to seeing what you have been creating!

Teddy Bear Day at Die Cuttin' Divas

Welcome back and thank you for visiting!

This past weekend flew right by. I went to Jacksonville for the Creating Keepsakes Convention and it was a huge disappointment. I will probably not go again. I signed up to volunteer a couple months ago and when I got there they had me scheduled for  Friday (which I didn't do since I knew I would be in school) and then they were disorganized and hardly had any volunteers for Saturday, so they asked me to help immediately. I did agree, but the two instructors I helped didn't even say thank you, the CK organizer didn't offer me a lunch break (she scheduled me 6 hours straight and I had to ask to take a potty break) and they charged me tax on my "free" items.  Anyways....I so much prefer the Scrapbook Expo in Orlando ,which I will continue to go to.

Now on to better topics...
Today brings a new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas, so here is another opportunity for you to share your newest creation.

The Challenge...Teddy Bears
I found this cute, but ordinary teddy on Doodlecharms. I cut him at 3 1/2".  I so wish I had Teddy Bear Parade!
I won this fabulous stamp from My Craft Spot. I love circular stamps!
Crinkle ribbon my my good craty friend, Karen at Little Scrap Pieces.
Other Materials:
K&Company paper
cream cardstock
Vintage Photo Distress ink
dark chocolate and Bisque liquid pearls
wiggly eyes
sequins from another bestie crafty friend, Carri

Can't wait to see what you share at Die Cuttin' Diva this week! Now go check out the Design Team projects...you'll love all the teddy bears!

A Bunch of Thanks for My Students

Hello!

Thanks for stopping by again.
I have been gone for the past month to prepare my class for the new school year, and last night I finally started to make cards again. Of course, the first set of cards I made are for my students! I wanted to say "Thanks" for bringing in wish list items...Lysol wipes, tissues, and individually wrapped candy.

The colors I used for these cards are the classroom colors too. : )

I used the following sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I made a set of 6.
Materials:
black, yellow, and white card stock
green polka dot and gingham pattern paper (Paper Studio)
green, yellow, and silver gems
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge ~ apple cut at 1 3/4"
"Just Because" Cards Cricut cartridge ~ thanks cut at 2 1/4"

Other Challenges:

If you missed the pictures of my class, just scroll down. I have finished my front board with rules, homework, and vocabulary so it doesn't look so plain any more. The rest of the room seems to function as planned.

Looking forward to making some birthday cards this afternoon. Hoping to be able to resume a regular crafting schedule during the week. I got a bunch of planning done yesterday. This next week will be the schedule test and next weekend is the CK Convention in Jacksonville. I signed up to volunteer, so that should also put me in the mood to try some new techniques.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana
