Christmas in July at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today brings a new Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas hosted by Tara.

Party Theme is...
Christmas in July

Here is my project...
A Gingerbread belly box from My Scrap Chick and a Craftin' Desert Diva Holly Day Pun stamp.

My daughter thought I cheated on this one because I didn't bake cookies for my treat bag. I had good reason...I didn't want the cookies to sit until Christmas time. Well...you remember that commercial where the lady takes the Fiber One bars and cuts them up to pass off as her own (and the hubby catches her)? I sort of did the same...except I used a Fiber One Lemon bar. : ) It is all in the holiday spirit, right?!?
Other Materials:
kraft, white, black, and brown card stock
pattern paper from scrap box
pink pearls
black and brown ink
3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon
Spellbinder ~ Big Scalloped Oval
pink and green craft thread

Hope you will join us for this "Christmas in July" linky party at Craftin' Desert Divas! The more projects you submit, the better chance you have to win! Visit Craftin' Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Sponsors for this Linky Party...
CDD ~ one stamp set
My Scrap Chick ~ $10 Coupon Code
May Arts Ribbon ~ 3 Millimeter Diamond Chain

Super Scraps Saturday

Hello Crafty Friends,

After looking at this massive bucket of scrap paper I decided that I should start using them instead of creating more. I just can't help it sometimes...when I want a certain color I just cut a new piece of card stock. I even have numerous pads of papers (6 x 6, 8 x 8,  and 12 x 12) with scraps in them too.

I started by creating small piles of color coded papers. It doesn't put a dent in the bucket, but at least it is a start.
Then I created a sketch I wanted to use (rotated one 180 degrees) and started piecing the colors together. These three worked nicely since I had some of the My Mind's Eye paper scraps all thrown together. Talk about luck! Who knows what else I might find if I keep digging!

My intentions were to create birthday cards for all of the staff at my school before we go back (we go back one month from today...time sure does fly!). Well, the train was too cute for an adult, so I made it for one of the office staff's grandson instead.
Here they are individually...
I added ribbon, gems, brads, and die cuts to make each one unique.
Spring Bird by Miss Kate Cuttables and My Craft Spot Tiny Tag stamp

Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge and Labels Eleven Spellbinder

Create a Friend and Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridges and My Craft Spot stamp
Challenge:

I am definitely going to make more with these scraps...it will be a Super Scraps Sunday too. I challenge you to use your scraps before they get out of control! What will you make? Can't wait to see!

So Scrumptious...Ice Cream Summer Treat

Hello Crafty Friends,

Yay, It's Friday! Actually, it is no different than any other day since I am off for the summer and all the days seem to blend together, but...I do know when it is time for a delicious summer treat! Ice Cream is good any day of the week!

Today's triple scoop high cone with interesting flavors (maybe blueberry, banana, and cotton candy...what flavors do you think they could be?) is sure to cool you off and fill that sweet tooth craving.

I used the following sketch from Clear It Out Challenge.

I used the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge to cut the tag.

Berry Blue Trendy Twine along with some grunge rumple ribbon by Lovebug Creations.

Glitterized ice cream (by Miss Kate Cuttables) on a crunchy sugar cone and a tiny tags stamp by My Craft Spot.
Other Challenges:
My Sheri Crafts ~ Food

Enjoy your day and be sure to have a yummy summer treat!

Summer Lovin' at 3 Girl JAM

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is my day to share at 3 Girl JAM and I sure do love to share! I am using another popular product from the 3 Girl JAM shop.

Here is my Design Team project...
I am loving the nautical theme right now and with this hot summer weather I have been daydreaming about being out on sailboat just relaxing. How about you?

I was SUPER excited to create this card since I actually welded the base on my Cameo (not sure why it took so long to try since it was extremely easy!).  The sailboat was cut from the Nautical Boy file at KaDoodle Bug Design and the cute sun is from Miss Kate Cuttables. The yellow skittles are by fellow design team sister, Carri. Background paper is from Cape Cod stack by Paper Studio. The sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Diva's Summer Lovin' stamp set.

I used the cream jute ribbon.
It is currently on sale for $4.97...be sure to use code GC10 for a discount.

Don't forget about our monthly challenge...
Food with ribbon
June 28th - August 1st
Prize: $15 Gift Certificate to 3 Girl JAM store

Daily Post with Holly Day Puns at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by!  Today is my day to share a perfect "Holly Day" stamp from Craftin' Desert Diva's new stamp line. I am thinking with this HOT weather a little winter saying might feel refreshing and cool you off.

Here is my Design Team project...
Isn't this polar bear from KaDoodle Bug Design super cute?!?!

Here is a close-up of the Holly Day stamp...I added some blue Stickles around the edge to match the polar bear's scarf.

A crinkle ribbon bow with a stick pin I made using pink, green, and white beads.

Here is the fun set you will surely enjoy...

Have you seen all the other stamps from the release...be sure to check them out!

Just Married at Die Cuttin' Diva

Hello Diva Fans,

Thanks for stopping by today (and every other day!)

It is a terrific Tuesday since it is the Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This Week's Challenge...
Wedding or Anniversary

Here is my Design Team project...
I typically stay away from wedding cards because I am not the overly mushy type of person. I enjoy seeing what others make (and usually get a bit envious), but I don't have much of a romantic bone in my body.

I used the following sketch from Mojo Monday.

This is the first time I cut the license plate from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. Easy to cut and looks great! I used foam squares to add dimension and then I cut the flower from the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge.

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Wedding/Anniversary" challenge. The other design team members have done a fantastic job with their creations, so be sure to check them out!

Hope you will join the challenge this week!
Stay Creative,
Georgiana
