For That Reader Who Loves Books

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by!  Today is my day to share one of the stamps from Craftin' Desert Diva's stamp line. I selected a super fun one from the School Zone set. That seems to be all I have been thinking about...school and books and lesson plans. I am really eager to get started next week and meet my students!

Here is my Design Team project...
Doesn't this worm on the pile of books match that sentiment perfectly! Loving the font on this stamp!

I found this worm file on Miss Kate Cuttables and cut it out with my Cameo. Isn't he happy looking?! I would be too if I could buy every book I wanted for my class. I might actually need another classroom since I already have over 1,000 books in my class library!
Other Materials:
DCWV paper ~ Grade School stack
lime green, cream, red, blue, and yellow card stock
Skittles by Carri
black Versafine ink

If you haven't purchased your set yet, be sure to order yours today!

August Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas ~ A Sketch

Hello Crafty Friends,

Are you ready for a party?!?!
Today brings a new Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas hosted by Tara.

Party Theme is...A Sketch
Sketches are quite versatile...you can rotate or flip them, use any color combination, and pick any theme. You can use it for a card, a gift bag, a layout...you choose!

Here is my project...
A fun back to school card for any teacher.

The classic school house was cut from the Recess Cricut cartridge.

I am just loving these gable boxes! I made them to match the card. They were cut from Tags, Bags, and Boxes 2 Cricut cartridge (cut at 5.5"). I made two...one was created with the Cricut scoring tool and the other was not. Can you tell the difference? The scoring tool makes it easier, but it definitely is not required. The apples are from "Just Because" Cricut cartridge (p. 46, cut at 4 3/4") and the tags are from Plantin Schoolbook (2").

I used the new School Zone stamp set...every teacher must have this set! Be sure to get your set today!
Other Materials:
Fancy Pants paper stack ~ Off to School
red, black, yellow, teal, and white card stock
red buttons
black organza ribbon
red pearls
black ink

Hope you will join us for this "Sketch" linky party at Craftin' Desert Divas! The more projects you submit, the better chance you have to win! Visit Craftin' Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.
