Anything Goes at Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday!
Yesterday was our school's Science Fair. It was the first one that I help organized and it went well. I tallied all the scores last night and the winners will be announced today during our Sauce and Science Night. We have a science museum (Orlando Science Center) coming to school with 15 different stations for the students to enjoy.

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
Anything Goes ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I just fell in love with this MFT Entwined Hearts die when it was first released and I like it even more now that I have actually used it myself. It cut the glitter paper so smoothly.

I cut the die twice...once in red to get the outline and then in black to piece together the inside of the hearts. So many options with mixing and matching!

I used red glitter paper for the MFT word beautiful since that is how I feel about the layout of these hearts. The stamped sentiment is by Scrappy Moms Stamp (closed).
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Anything Goes" challenge. The design team must have had Valentine's Day on their minds too since there are so many lovely projects.

2017 Birthday Wishes

Hello Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by at Carson's Creations! I appreciate all my crafty friends and the kind words that are shared.

Only 364 more days of 2017. I am not going to count the days down, but I am going to make sure I send LOTS of birthday wishes this year.  My 2017 word is going to be determination. I am determined to make all my DT projects, participate in challenges, learn how to color stamped images (and make sure it doesn't look like my students colored it).

I used the following sketch from Try' Stampin' on Tuesday.

This stamped sentiment is by My Craft Spot. It is part of the Chalkboard Sentiments set. I used my MISTI to stamp the words and then I used a chalk pencil to add a bit of color to the bold letters. I cut out gold foam glitter stars with my Cuttlebug.

The inside coordinates with the cover.

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all the best in 2017!

Let it Snow at Jaded Blossom

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am SUPER excited to be a December Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom. What a fabulous opportunity! I love these stamps...they always put a smile on my face. No matter what the occasion may be, there is always the perfect sentiment.

My Guest Designer Project...
A snowman treat box using the Winter Wishes stamp set.

This stamp is actually one horizontal line, but I wanted it to fit my tag. I masked off part of the sentiment each time I stamped the tag to create the two lines.

What a cute snowman! I added some Cherry glitter glue and Wink of Stella glitter for some sparkle.

Other Materials:
blue, white, red, grey, orange, and brown card stock
DCWV pattern paper ~ Winter Stack
Miss Kate Cuttables snowman (from a globe file)
My Craft Spot mini Tag
blue ribbon
white craft thread
Fiskars snowflake punch

Thanks again Candace and Michelle for allowing me to be a Guest Designer during this special month. I am definitley looking forward to all the projects from the rest of the Guest Designers!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Sunday!

Today is not only Father's Day, but Dorm Move-In Day. We will be spending the day together moving our "little" girl towards the next step of becoming independent. An exciting journey awaits her these next few years.

My hubby asked me the other day to make his father a card. Of course, he knew I would. I wanted a masculine look, but something a little different. That is when I decided to try these metal sheets I had in my stash! I first cut a 1" strip and embossed it in the Cuttlebug with a Tim Holtz distressed pattern. Then I cut the letters with my Cricut.

I used the following sketch from Jo's Scrap Shack.

I wrapped some gold sewing thread and randomly taped it on the backside of the MFT stitched circle. Latte skittles by Carri were glued in the upper right corner.
Other Materials:
DCWV pattern paper ~ the Natural Stack

Other Challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks ~ Metal
Hiding in My Craft Room ~ Masculine

Hope you make this a wonderful Father's Day for that special man in your life.

The Great Outdoors...Let's Go Camping!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by on this terrific Tuesday. Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. Hope you will join us this week!

This Week's Challenge...
The Great Outdoors
In honor of National S'mores Day on August 10th

Here is my Design Team project...
We had a camper similar to this when I was younger and we would travel along the east coast. I remember going to the Smoky Mountains National Park once and a bat being on the outside near the door handle. My Mom freaked out! We all thought it was a bear the way she was screaming, but no...it was only a bat! A memory I will never forget!

A pair of twin bows to hold the curtains open. Time to enjoy the view and the fresh air!

Found this stamp in my stash. Hubby made fun of it, so I told him that I needed the Jaded Blossom Great Outdoors set. All of a sudden he loved this stamped sentiment. : )
Other Materials:
DCWV paper ~ The Green Stack
brown and grey card stock
Ranger Archival ink ~ potting soil
brown pearl

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "The Great Outdoorschallenge. The other design team members want to enjoy the outdoors too. Be sure to check them out today!

Thanks for stopping by!

For That Reader Who Loves Books

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by!  Today is my day to share one of the stamps from Craftin' Desert Diva's stamp line. I selected a super fun one from the School Zone set. That seems to be all I have been thinking about...school and books and lesson plans. I am really eager to get started next week and meet my students!

Here is my Design Team project...
Doesn't this worm on the pile of books match that sentiment perfectly! Loving the font on this stamp!

I found this worm file on Miss Kate Cuttables and cut it out with my Cameo. Isn't he happy looking?! I would be too if I could buy every book I wanted for my class. I might actually need another classroom since I already have over 1,000 books in my class library!
Other Materials:
DCWV paper ~ Grade School stack
lime green, cream, red, blue, and yellow card stock
Skittles by Carri
black Versafine ink

If you haven't purchased your set yet, be sure to order yours today!

Mini Lunch Notes at 3 Girl JAM

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is my day to share at 3 Girl JAM and I sure do love to share! I am using another popular product from the 3 Girl JAM shop...crinkle ribbon.

Here is my Design Team project...
I made these mini note cards for my daughter's lunch bag. Even though she is going to be a Junior in high school this year, I think she will like to find a "thinking of you" note in her bag. I think some of friends might even be jealous!

LG Bundle ~ $4.97 for 8 yards

I am saving this one for that first BIG test! She studies for hours and hours, then worries and worries until she gets her score. Anything I can do to help alleviate some of that stress is worth it.
I used DCWV paper ~ Grade School stack for all three mini cards. I added buttons, skittles by Carri, and Lemon-Lime crinkle ribbon from the 3 Girl JAM shop..
Other Materials:
yellow, black, red, lime green, and white card stock
Create a Friend Cricut cartridge ~ lunch box cut at 2"
School Zone stamp set by Craftin' Desert Divas (...Pass the Test)
School Rules stamp set by Jaded Blossom (Lunch Box...)
black and red ink

Don't forget about our monthly challenge...
Back to School with Ribbon
August 2nd - August 29th
Prize: $15 Gift Certificate to 3 Girl JAM store

Simply Said Daily Post at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by again! Today is my day to share a fabulous stamp from Craftin' Desert Diva's new stamp line.

Here is my Design Team project...
I never seem to have enough birthday cards and I am always running late (I was even born two weeks late and I don't think it has ever caught up!). This sentiment is perfect for those late cards.

I used the Simply Said stamp set. This is a great set because it has so many different occasions. With the variety you really don't need another set....well, until the next stamp release which is next week! : )

The Spellbinders are easy to layer.

Lace adds a touch of elegance.
Materials:
DCWV paper ~ Cherry Limeade Stack
various Spellbinders
white lace
green flowers
pink gems
