Thursday Treats at My Mouse Dreams

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am making a special guest designer appearance today at My Mouse Dreams for Thursday Treats after a conversation with Beckie and I am super excited to be a part of a her new series to showcase treat holders. I love to make treat bags for family, friends, students, and co-workers. The look on their face always makes me happy and want to make more. Valentine's Day is approaching quickly, so I am getting started now.

Today's Project...
I found this cute gift box (Unicorn Splash Box) on Silhouette Design Store and added a few pieces from my collection to personalize it. I used both my Cricut and Cameo to create today's treat holder.

The MFT stitched scalloped circle fits in the center and any die-cut or image would be perfect. I found this hippo colored by my daughter in her craft area and snatched it up (I figured she hadn't used him yet, so why not showcase him.). He just looks so happy. The stamped sentiment is from the same MFT Happy Hippo stamp set. The Hershey Nuggets were covered with Jaded Blossoms Candy Wraps and the hearts were cut from MFT Blueprints 13.

Every treat bag needs a big bow! I just got this MFT Stitched Beautiful Bow die set not too long ago and decided it fit perfectly. I watched a video because the first time I cut the bow and tried to wrap it around it had creases. Yuck! The video said to prep the paper. I had to rub the paper between my fingers and curve it. It worked!  No creases!
I am so glad Beckie has started this Treat Thursday series. Perhaps you could be next to share your favorite treat holder. Leave a message and she may ask you too!

Georgiana

Show Me Some Tags at Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday,

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. Every Tuesday a new theme is posted and we typically have a Guest Diva too. Currently the challenges are planned and booked until April 2019 with a few openings in May and June. If interested just leave me a message.

This past weekend I worked on a few projects and it felt good to pull out the holiday supplies. I searched for dies, stamps, papers, and svg files. Fun! Fun! Fun! Let the holiday spirit run wild!

This Week's Challenge...
~ Tags ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I love the treat tag die from Jaded Blossom since they cut and layer so easily. They can be used for any occasion, but with Christmas on my mind  it was easy to decide. The bottom layer of the tag was cut in red glitter paper. It was in a 6 x 6 stack I bought at Target a couple years ago after the holidays for 70% off (the green glitter paper was in the same stack too).

The snowmen are Recollection stickers. It's amazing what you will find in your Christmas craft boxes if you just look. I have the tendency to buy new when there are sales, but these were too cute not to use. The winter trees were cut with a My Favorite Things dies.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Winter Wishes set. The green ribbon matches those trees perfectly.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Tags" challenge. Be sure to check out the other design team projects. The tags are awesome!

Piggies for You

Hello Everyone,
It's Wednesday, which means we are halfway through the week. I have Coaching Institute training for a couple days this week and then again a couple days next week; therefore, the new school year is just around the corner. Summer vacation will be coming to an end sooner than later.

The challenge at Craftaholics R Us begins today. So does the challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy. Let's combine the challenges for more fun!

This Week's Challenge...

Here are my Design Team projects...
I chose a piggie file from My Scrap Chick. It includes three different projects and I made two of them. The first one is a tag which is attached to a Jaded Blossom purse. I went to the store (Publix) and these Hershey treats were BOGO. Such an awesome deal!

I inked all the edges of the pig with Tim Holtz distress ink ~ spun sugar and the yellow circle was inked with squeezed lemonade.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Chocoholic set.

This card was created using MFT stitched rectangle dies, gray polka dot paper by Echo Park, and the yellow organza ribbon is from my stash.

I used my Cameo to cut the pig.

The stamped sentiment is by MFT ~ Sow Much Cuteness set.
Other Challenges:
Craft-Dee BowZ ~ Anything Goes with a Bow
Crafty Animals ~ Anything Goes
DL.ART ~ July Linky Party
Sunny Day Crafting ~ Animals

Hope you will join us at Craftaholics R Us and Pause Dream Enjoy this week since you can combine the two challenges together. Be sure to check out the other crafty creations.

Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge ~ It's Anything Goes

Hello!
I'd like to thank everyone that sent FB messages yesterday in regards to my son's car accident. He walked away (thank goodness) and was only complaining of airbag burns, a back ache, and a sore hand. I am hoping today he doesn't feel any more pains. I have to bring him to work this morning, so I will be checking on him. The car was towed and insurance assessed the damage already. I was quite impressed with the claim agents and how quickly they were able to assist. The cost to repair the car is just over $10,000. Hopefully they won't find any other concerns and it will be fixed within the next two weeks. I am glad I am off for the summer, so I can help him get around.

The challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy began yesterday while all this happening, but you still have almost a week to create and submit.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Anything Goes ~
~ The Best Challenge ~

Here is my Design Team project...
A co-worker asked me to make a watermelon themed birthday card for her granddaughter.

The Miss Kate Cuttables' cute watermelon was cut with my Cameo. I also used a couple different MFT dies (Single Stitch Line Tag-Corner Rectangle Frames and stitched rectangle from a Blueprints) that were cut with my Cuttlebug.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Sweet Birthday Wishes set. A pink and green bow along with a few black gems were the final touch.
Hope you will join us at Pause Dream Enjoy this week for our "Anything Goeschallenge. Be sure to check out the other DT projects.

DCD ~ Masculine or Father's Day

Happy Tuesday!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
Masculine or Father's Day ~

Here is my Design Team project...
A couple week's ago I won a challenge at Cut It Up and the prize was gift certificate to My Scrap Chick. I bought a bunch of files and this happened to be one of them. It is a beverage shirt wrap.

My hubby's favorite drink is Coca Cola.

The box to hold the can is actually quite durable. I was a bit worried at first, but it turned out nicely.

The stamped sentiments are from Jaded Blossom.
Other Challenges:
Try it on Tuesday ~ For the Boys

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Masculine or Father's Day" challenge. Our sponsor this week is Scrapbook Adhesives and it is a $35 prize package. How awesome is that!

Circles at PDE

Happy Wednesday!
The challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy begins today.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Circles ~
I do love to use circles on my projects, especially my stitched dies. They come in different sizes, so it makes it easy to chose which one you want.

Here is my Design Team project...
I went a little crazy and used circles for my background, but I love it. Since I still had my Tim Holtz oxide inks on my desk from the other day I used the same four colors: cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, broken china, and faded jeans. I colored the three critters from the MFT Polynesian Paradise stamp set and adhered them to scalloped circles. If you notice I turned the background colors the opposite direction as the critters (blue on top and green on the bottom). I thought it was a neat effect.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Random Act of Kindness set.
Hope you will join us at Pause Dream Enjoy this week for our "Circleschallenge. Be sure to check out the other DT projects.

If you like what you see, please become a follower. Leave me your blog name and I will stop by to see what you have been making! Since I am off for summer vacation, I have plenty of time to visit.

Puppy Sends Birthday Wishes at Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Anything Goes ~
No excuse for not joining us since it can be anything you are working on.

Here is my Design Team project...
I am a major dog lover and will probably be one of those crazy old ladies that takes her dog every where. She is quite the spoiled pooch now and loves to go for long walks or take a ride in the truck.

I used the following sketch from Viva La Verve.

The puppy is from Miss Kate Cuttables.  Woof was cut on the Cameo from brown card stock.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Dog-Gone Awesome set. It was stamped with Vintage Photo Oxide Ink by Tim Holtz.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Anything Goes" challenge. These are the BEST! You can crate anything you want. Our sponsor this week is Stamp Simply.

Sending a Butterfly Thank You

Happy Sunday Everyone,

It's been raining most of the day, so I didn't get my 3 1/2 mile walk in this morning but I was able to finish this set of thank you cards. We also went to the movies to see Deadpool 2 before Kels went back to college. If you don't mind cursing...it is a funny movie. Of course, anything with Ryan Reynolds is good to watch...even if it is Green Lantern.

I used my Color Burst powders on watercolor paper and butterfly 8 from Rubbernecker Stamps to create this bundle. I like that the colors and designs are always different. It is all in the way the colors blend after you spritz a bit of water.

All the stitched rectangle dies, zigzags squares, fishtails, and the wonky oval are by My Favorite Things. The larger "Thank You" stamped sentiment was a free gift from a magazine subscription and the small "Kind Thanks" is from Jaded Blossom.
I watched another video and it talked about blurring parts of your photo. I guess I got it, but I didn't really try. Now I need to figure out the wide screen feature and how to change the focus squares. I shall keep experimenting!

Summer vacation starts at the end of the week. I know the students are SUPER excited.
Have a great week,
Georgiana

Congrats Grad

Hello Everyone,

Up a bit late tonight since I am working on getting caught up. I have graded some math and science papers, then I started to plan my 8 Year Blogoversary which will be June 2nd, and finally I am sharing this graduation card. Always busy! And my mood is starting to turn around. I am accepting whatever happens...just happens. A few colleagues made some comments today which cheered me up. Keep them coming! I sure need to hear more.

Today's project...
The Seniors last day is tomorrow, and most of the ceremonies will be next Saturday, May 19th. I made this for a co-worker. The colors represent one of our private schools.

I used the following layout from Sketch Saturday.

I cut the cap, letters, and numbers on my Cameo. The circle dies and fishtail are from My Favorite Things. The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Simple Sayings 3.
Hope you enjoy your weekend...it's almost here!

Georgiana

Teacher Appreciation at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Diva Fans!
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by! The last few weeks have been a roller coaster. I was told I have to do a different position after 17 years (that I don't really want to do), I have to pack up my classroom and move all my stuff (been in this classroom for 11 years and have LOTS of resources), a position I applied for was cancelled by the district that I was looking forward to, and I am still in limbo about a different position (they said it would be a couple of weeks, but the waiting is still hard). All of this has put me in a sour mood and unfortunately my crafting has been affected.

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Teacher Appreciation ~
Our PTO has planned a week of themes for the students to show their appreciation. Yesterday was flowers and today is notes. One day is favorite treat...Yum! So sweet of our PTO!

Here is my Design Team project...
I had these two black treat containers on my craft table just sitting there ready to be used, so I thought why not now. I love everything nerdy, so I found this Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon (PPPR) nerdy apple in my svg collection.

I cut the apple on my Cameo, added some Emerald green glitter glue to the leaves, and stamped the Jaded Blossom ~ School Rules sentiment on a MFT fishtail strip. Starburst are just a little something extra. I have been giving them to my students during FSA testing.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Teacher Appreciation" challenge.  Next week we will begin offering prizes again! Rubbernecker Stamps is our first sponsor. Thanks for the support and generosity! Here are some others...
