Think Pink at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...Think Pink
In Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

My Design Team Project...
I made this wedding card for a friend at work a couple weeks ago. Love the soft pink and cream colors, lace, and heart charm.

Here are the wedding party cards I made to coordinate.

The cards were personalized for the flower girl, matron of honor, and bridesmaid. The flower girl was my favorite.

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Think Pink" challenge. The other design team members have done a fabulous job honoring breast cancer awareness, so be sure to check them out!

Hope you will join the challenge this week!

Just Married at Die Cuttin' Diva

Hello Diva Fans,

Thanks for stopping by today (and every other day!)

It is a terrific Tuesday since it is the Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This Week's Challenge...
Wedding or Anniversary

Here is my Design Team project...
I typically stay away from wedding cards because I am not the overly mushy type of person. I enjoy seeing what others make (and usually get a bit envious), but I don't have much of a romantic bone in my body.

I used the following sketch from Mojo Monday.

This is the first time I cut the license plate from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. Easy to cut and looks great! I used foam squares to add dimension and then I cut the flower from the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge.

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Wedding/Anniversary" challenge. The other design team members have done a fantastic job with their creations, so be sure to check them out!

Hope you will join the challenge this week!
Stay Creative,
Georgiana

An Engagement, a Bridal Shower, and Then Marriage

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am sharing a set of cards I made for a very special occasion...marriage. I truly believe vows are important and once you make a commitment you need to keep working at them no matter how difficult times may get. Hopefully this couple that plans to marry will work at the life long journey.

Each card incorporates the color scheme...pink, cream, burlap, and/or lace.

The engagement card...
Sorry the picture lighting was enhanced...not my favorite feature

Bridal Shower Card #1

Bridal Shower Card #2
Other Materials:
Sweethearts Cricut cartridge ~ wedding dress (p. 58) cut at 3 1/4"
Sweethearts Cricut cartridge ~ umbrella (p. 51) cut at 1 3/4"
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cart ~ font cut at 1/2"
cream laces from Hobby Lobby
cream ribbon
burlap flowers by Paper Studio
silver gems
Swirl and woodgrain embossing folders
burlap
twine

I may be making cupcake toppers, place cards and other "stuff", but I still need to verify.

Until tomorrow when we share the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas, which I do hope you will join us! I am not only going to be checking out what you submit, but I am counting down till Thursday afternoon which is when my summer vacation begins.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Mother of the Groom and 3 Year Blogoversary Coming Soon!

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a great day. I have been staying busy. I went walking at the trails again this morning (another 3 miles). Then I began working on a project.  Do you ever have so much to do that you are not sure where to start? That is how it seems today...I have so many goals I am not sure which one I want to do first. Eventually they will all need to be done!

Here is a card I made yesterday for my walking friend.
No, her son is not getting married but someone else in her family is. I really get stumped on wedding cards, but tried. I gave it to her last night before walking and she loved it. Not sure if she was being nice, or if she really liked it.

I used the sketch from Come and Get It.

I sure do enjoy making these pins. If you are interested in any, please let me know. I would be happy to make you some! I love to mix the different types of beads and colors!
I thought the front was a bit bland, so I added the white crochet flowers with silver heart brad.
Materials:
K&Company ~ Elegance paper
Sweethearts Cricut cartridge ~ dove (p. 56) cut at 2"
glitter glue
handmade stick pins
silver ribbon
white crochet flowers
silver heart brad
silver liquid pearls
computer generated sentiment
Spellbinders

Other Challenges:

Look what is coming soon!
My 3 Year blogoversary!
I sure hope you will stop by!
Creative crafters! Fabulous sponsors!

Until tomorrow for Little Scrap Pieces challenge,
Georgiana

Flowers at Exploring Cricut

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today brings a new challenge at Exploring Cricut.

This Week's Challenge...Flowers
I am a  bit excited to go outside today and see if there are any new flowers blooming after all the rain we had this weekend.

My Design Team Card...
Not only am I thinking about those beautfiul flowers, but I am "thinking of you" too. I received a bicycle for my birthday months ago, but no one else has a bike to go riding with me. I guess I will just have to enjoy alone. : (
My favorite is riding down the Interstate and seeing the variety of colorful wild flowers growing in the median. Knowing that they can not be picked or mowed is even better...they will always grow back.
All the dainty flowers with a pink pearl center were cut from Plantin Schoolbook at 1/2".
Materials:
papers from HUGE scrap box
Sweethearts Cricut cartridge ~ bike (p. 53) cut at 2 1/4"
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge ~ grass ( p. 69) 1 1/4" and flowers
Create a Critter Cricut cartridge ~ cloud (p.55) cut at 1"
Thinking of You stamp
black ink
white liquid pearls
pink self adhesive pearls

Hope you will join us at Exploring Cricut this week for our "Flowers" challenge. Be sure to stop by and see the Design Team projects. More flowers are blooming there!

Have a great week and stay creative,
Georgiana

pink liquid pearls
pink buttons
pink pearls

Hope you will join us at Little Scrap Pieces this week for our Love is in the Air challenge. Can't wait to see what your project.
