Using Circles at Die Cuttin' Divas to Celebrate a Birthday

Hello Everyone!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Circles ~

Here is my Design Team project...
Circles and polka dots go together in my mind since they are the same shape.

The birthday bear is by MFT. I used Tim Holtz oxide inks (vintage photo, lucky clover, blue jeans, and abandoned coral) to add color to him.

The stamped sentiment is by MFT ~ Birthday Bears set.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Circles" challenge. Our sponsor this week is Lawn Fawn.

Valentine Critters

Happy Friday!
This has been a stressful week (I didn't do that great with my goal of not taking school work home with me. I will need to do better next week!) and I am glad it is almost the weekend. Of course, what better way to start the weekend than with a couple of cute Valentine critters.

Today's project...
The school secretary asked me to make a couple of Valentine cards for her grandbabies. Who could object? I said definitely!

I used the following sketch by Sketch Saturday for the layout of the card.
This cutie is by PPnN. It is an oldie (and probably not available any more), but I had it in my SVG file library and couldn't resist for the 1 year granddaughter. It is her first Valentine. I added cherry glitter glue on her heart shaped nose to match the sparkly enamel dot on the bow. The sentiment strips are by My Favorite Things and the stamped sentiment is an old wooden stamp from Michaels dollar bin. I just love the font!

This cute Valentine raccoon is by Miss Kate Cuttables. Be sure to check out all the Valentine files...what a fabulous selection!
Other Challenges:

Hope you have a fabulous weekend. I plan on taking some time to relax, go out to eat, shop, watch a movie or two on the Hallmark Channel, and craft. Sounds like a perfect way to de-stress! Hope it goes as planned.

Campin' Critters at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stoppping by on Diva Tuesday.

Today is the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Diva.
This Week's Challenge...
~ Campin' Critters ~

Here is my Design Team project...
When I think of camping I think of a tent  in the woods, under the stars...roughing it (although I prefer a RV with air conditioning and a bathroom). It is too hot and humid to go camping in Florida right now, but we do have a great state park down the road where you will see all type of critters. One of the most popular critters you'd see is the white tailed deer.

I started by cutting my SVG CuttingFiles chunky card base on my Cameo. Then I cut the tent, bear, and moon from Miss Kate Cuttables. I created my watercolor background to look like a night sky and finally added Wink of Glitter for the shimmer. All the pieces except the stars were adhered with foam dots to add dimension.

The sentiment is computer generated and it was cut with a MFT die on the Cuttlebug.

I hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Campin' Critterschallenge. Be sure to check out the other design team projects.

Georgiana

Look Who's One!

Hello Everyone!

Wow! Hard to believe it has been almost two months since my last post. I haven't spent too much time at my crafting table, but I have been busy with creating school projects, helping my daughter with college designs, and planning lessons each day. I am SUPER happy to finally be able to turn on my machine, pull out my papers, and CREATE!

Today is my day to post at Miss Kate Cuttables. Before I share my design team project,  I want to remind you there is a free file that you can download every day. YES! Every day a new and different one. Be sure to get yours today!

Today's Freebie...Click Here

Here is my Design Team project...
A co-worker asked me to make a birthday card for a little man turning one. I thought this teddy would be darling for him. The stamped sentiment is by Cardz TV.

I used the following Miss Kate Cuttables files...Teddy Bear and Hippo Holding Balloons.

I used the Die Cuttin' Diva's sketch from earlier this week. I sure have missed a lot of sketches! Looking forward to finding more!

The stitched circle die is by My Favorite Things. The bow was cut with a Waffle Flower die. I cut the 1 on my Cameo.

Miss Kate Cuttables has LOTS of files to choose from, so check them out today.

Caution....Witch Kisses

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by! It's time for a  new DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...
Halloween Colors

Here is my Design Team project...
I think this witchy bear from Kadoodle Bug is just too cute. A little inking around the edges and purple glitter glue on the bow make the bear irresistible...ready for some kisses.

I used the new pumpkin skittles from the Witches Brew Release.

The stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom ~ Halloween Signs.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the "Halloween Colors" challenge at DoubleClick Skittles. Be sure to check out the other Design Team members.

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday "Fishes" to You

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another Scrappy Moms Guest Designer creation using March's Stamp Release! Can you tell I am loving these stamps?!?!

The school secretary asked me to make our principal a birthday card with a fishing theme. This is his last year and he will be retiring at the end of May. I thought this playful Papa bear (Silhouette On-line Store) would remind him of the kids he has helped over the years.

Another perfect sentiment from the Zodiac Cuties set.

I cut two tiny blue dragonflies and propped their wings to make them appear as if they were flying. All the cuts were adhered with foam squares to add dimension.
Other Materials:
black, brown, blue, and white card stock
pattern paper from scrap box
brown ink
Versafine Onyx Black ink

Be sure to get your stamp set today!

white, black, pink, and purple cardstock

Isn't this a sweet bear?

This bear is from Silhouette On-line store, but I altered it slightly by adding the present (cut from Birthday Cakes Cricut cartridge).

Twilight Skittles by Carri...easy to adhere and lightweight. Be sure to check out Carri's store for all the different colors.
Other Materials:
purple, brown, red, and white card stock

This Week's Challenge...Anything Goes
This is a special challenge since we are celebrating Carri's 2 year anniversary of her Skittles being launched. I have been there since the beginning and have enjoyed all the colors that have been created. The skittles are easy to adhere (liquid glue works great) and adds a little dimension to your projects.

Here is my Design Team project...
A birthday card for any girl. This bear is from Too Cute by Jessica.

Daffodil yellow crinkle ribbon by 3 Girl JAM, wiggly eyes, and inking around the edges are a couple extra touches.

Here are the skittles up close. Have you gotten yours yet? Super easy to adhere and they add a bit of character to your projects. Check out ALL the different colors and bundles!

The stamp is from Whismical Designs...an oldie, but goodie.

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by today for a new challenge at DoubleClick Skittles! I went back to school yesterday and today is work in the classroom, so I am hoping to get quite a bit finished before Meet the Teacher on Friday. I like to make a list and cross of each task as it is completed. It sure is nice to see when the list is finished.

This Week's Challenge...Back to School
Whether you have a child, or you decided to go back to school it is that time of year.  New clothes, new books, or new supplies are needed to make Back to School a success.

Here is my Design Team project...
A teddy bear (Little Scraps from Heaven) ready for learning with a pencil.
I used the Simply Said stamp set from Craftin' Desert Diva. A bit of twine around the eraser and a few pink pearls in the lower corner.
Here is a close-up of the skittles. Loving the pink again...just like my favorite color from yesterday...pink!
Hope you will join us at DoubleClick Skittles this week for our "Back to School" challenge. The other design team members have done a fantastic job with their scholarly creations, so be sure to check them out! Be sure to enter, so you can win some skittles for Challenge #3.
