Paw Patrol Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends,

Happy Friday! This week sure flew by...we had quarterly testing a couple days, a field trip to the middle school, I had car duty after school every day, and then I have been making some Easter treats late at night. Overall, it was a productive week, but so much more to still do before end of the year exams. Yikes...we are NOT ready yet!

A co-worker asked my to make her grandson a personalized birthday card...his birthday is April 1st and can you guess how old he is going to be? If you guessed 3 then you are correct. His favorite show is Paw Patrol, which I don't think I have ever seen but she sent me a picture. I picked out the dalmation wearing a fireman's hat.

I cut the Create a Critter dalmatian on my Cricut. I changed the hat slightly...it had a 1 on a badge, but I needed a 3. His name fit on the brim perfectly.

The stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom. The pattern paper is by The Paper Studio ~ Candy Confetti stack. The black enamel dots are from my stash.
If you are looking to join any challenges this weekend you should stop by Craftaholics R Us. The theme is enamel dots. I used three black ones on mine.

I hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start.

Animal Cookies are Inspirational

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by!

Today, I am sharing If You Give a Crafter a Cookie's new challenge. These are quite creative challenges...you have a picture of a cookie (yes, a cookie) and you use it as inspiration to create your project....a card, a layout, a tag, a gift bag...anything!

Here is my Design Team project...
I love animals...domestic, farm, zoo, wild...it doesn't matter.  I told my class if I could have another career it would be a cow farmer (they laughed and thought I was joking). Animals bring joy and make me happy, especially my dog. Here is card to honor her. : )

Hope you will join us at Miss Kate Cuttables for the "Animals" challenge. The other design team members were quite creative this month! Be sure to check out ALL the variety!

Calling Dog Lovers

Hello Everyone,

I was busy this morning with taking my daughter to PT and buying the dog a new pillow for Christmas. This afternoon I worked on lesson plans for the month of January which took a while to plan four different subjects. I have a little bit more I'd like to get finished, but I still have another week. I made some yummy dinner (doesn't happen often), then decided to get crafty.

Here is my project for today...
I pulled out my Jaded Blossom stamps and searched for dog svg files on my Cameo. After I found this nerdy dog, I knew I had to use him.

I used the following sketch from Sketch Saturday.

The Einstein dog is by Little Scraps of Heaven. I inked the edges with a little bit of black ink.

This stamp is part of the Dog-Gone Awesome stamp set by Jaded Blossom.
Other Challenges:

Wishing you a pleasant night. Hope you have almost everything done for Christmas.

Super Pets ~ 3 Girl JAM

Hello Everyone!

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by again! Today is my day to share at 3 Girl JAM and I always like to showcase a project that uses the best crinkle ribbon available.

Here is my Design Team project...
A pair of super heroes...pet style!

Another day of using scraps. You would think my pile would be getting smaller, but it sure doesn't seem like it yet! That is also cocoa crinkle ribbon from the new Victorian Dream Bundle...what a fabulous color!

I am truly a dog lover and I think my pup saves me everyday...not literally, but my sanity! How can a smile like this not make you happy!

I used the cocoa crinkle ribbon and then added a button with a triple cream bow. The sentiment (on both cards) is by Jaded Blossom ~ Super Hero set.

Isn't this an adorable kitty with the flying cape! Both pets are by Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. I also added clover skittles by Carri at DoubleClick.

Life is Good with 3 Girl JAM

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today is my 3 Girl JAM design team day and I just had to make a candy treat since "Life is Good". School is good, family is good, my pup has recovered so she is good, everything is good! I even went to photography class last night and two ladies helped me understand something about ISO...that is good! Now I need to experiment with my photos this weekend. Photo light box should be here by the beginning of next week too! Life is Good!

Here is my candy treat...
I made a cute tag for the front of my clear container while incorporating this month's color challenge . I used the Irish pup from SVG Cuts ~ Charm Chance.
This is 3 Girl JAM ribbon...the green crinkle ribbon is from the Ribbon Candy Bundle. I also added Peacock twine and a button around the cap. Don't forget if you want to purchase your own to use my code GC10 for a discount. A new color bundle was just released so be sure to check it out!
The tiny 1" tag was cut from Plantin Schoolbook and the stamp is from My Craft Spot.
I found these plastic containers at Michaels on clearance for 79 cents. Even though they say they are for sand art, they are the perfect size for small treats like the chocolate Sixlets I used. Unfortunately, I can't share them with my pup...sorry Molly! : )
Other Materials:
green, white, brown, and black card stock
green button
Peacock twine
green glitter glue
green ink

Hope you will join us at 3 Girl JAM for March's challenge...
March 1st - March 28th

Side Step Card for Neighbor...Can You Believe This?

Welcome Back for Day 3!
I am glad you have joined us this weekend for this amazing hop. Yvette has been celebrating her first blogoversary and we are all making "first" projects in her honor.
Today's card is a quick one because it has been hectic the past two days. First, (yes there is that word again) we thought our dog ran away on Friday. We went school shopping and when we came home she was gone. Now there is a story behind this, so I will keep it short. My daughter taught our dog to jump (She thought she could be on one of those dog shows for competition.). I know you are probably thinking there is nothing wrong with that. Well, she learned how to jump over our 4 foot gate in the backyard, so we (actually my husband and son) installed a 6 foot privacy fence last weekend. We thought problem solved. Wouldn't you?

As I was saying...we went school shopping for a few hours and when we returned she was gone! HOW?!?! After roaming the neighborhood for hours, calling animal service, knocking on neighbor's doors, doing lost dog tours...the next door neighbor came over with her. She caught her and she was in their kitchen. Yes, my daughter knocked on all the neighbor's doors except for that one. PHEW! The neighbor would not accept anything for "pet sitting", so...

I made a side step card (another new card I tried for the first time) for her and I am going to include a gift card for being so kind. This is the first time our dog has escaped from a 6 foot fence.  Can you just imagine?!?!
I used The Pet Pad from Recollections for the paper and images.

I found a template that was very helpful; therefore, I want to share. It is from Julie's Stamping Spot. She has written instructions at the top too.
If you are looking for a variety of folds that you are interested in trying, I found another site called Card Making Magic. There are about 4 or 5 new folds that I need to explore...the diamond top card, the springfold, the waterfall, and twisted easel. There are videos and pictures available. I am still going to make the tent card, but it will have to be later this afternoon. I will definitely post the first one I make.
Just a Reminder: There is Blog Candy.

I selected this embossing folder because it was the first time that I bought one that I already owned. Ooops! Please remember to leave your e-mail and blog address (if you have one). The winner will be announced Monday evening, Aug. 8th.
Be sure to visit Sherri now. She ALWAYS has amazing projects.
Thank you again for joining us this weekend. We hope you have found some new ideas to try. Be sure to come back and share what you have tried for the first time.

Georgiana
