Hello Crafty Friends,
What a wonderful weekend it has been!
I made time to craft and be creative while the family was away on Saturday at either at work or a sporting event (my hubby has had to go to numerous district, regional, and state finals for every sporting event since he is administrator ~ plus I think he really likes it!). Today I finished adding a few touches along with taking pictures.
I have BUNCHES of paper pads started, but I usually don't finish them. Then I buy more since I like a pattern or two. Don't you do that too?!?!? This time I decided to try something different...use the entire paper pad, but find a variety of sketches so they are all different.
I started with this paper pad by My Mind's Eye ~ Bright. It was on clearance at Michaels for $2.99. I sure do like this paper since it is double sided and coordinates so well.
Then I searched on Paper Playful for sketches from this past week. This is the BEST site to see current challenges and winners without wasting lots of valuable time. WOW! So many to choose from!
Here are my cards...
For the first card layout from Deconstructed Sketch, I used a self adhesive pattern of gems for the focal point and added a few yellow flowers.
Crinkle ribbon (3 Girl JAM) is always a perfect touch!
Brown inking around all the edges to add an antique look.
This is last week's sketch from The Paper Players. I just doubled check and they have a new challenge posted.
I have never used this anchor from Wild Card 2, but was pleased to find a matching sentiment from Whimsical Designs.
Last sketch of the weekend...
I cut this mushroom and grass from Create a Critter. More crinkle ribbon (Little Scrap Pieces) for the tag.
Wohoo!
I am quite pleased with the progress I made this weekend and I am hoping to stay on a roll. I still have a little more paper and a few more sketches on my desktop. Planning to get a few more done with this paper pad. I need to try again with another paper pad...how about you? Are you up for the challenge? Which paper pad with you choose?
Stay Creative,
Georgiana
