Paper Play Sketches 30 ~ Are You Feeling Nerdy?

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by.  Today I am sharing the new challenge at Paper Play Sketches. Great way to combine a few challenges since you can choose any colors, theme, sentiment, etc.

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...

After going to the eye doctor's a few weeks ago and learned that I will need to wear glasses all the time (rather than wear just my readers), I decided to get a little nerdy. 

This chick is by Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. I removed the lenses and added the big wiggly eyes to make him nerdy instead of cool looking. The sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ We Go Together Like...stamp set.

yellow, red, black, white, and orange card stock

My Favorite Things dies ~ Fishtail and stitched circle

Versafine Onyx Black ink

Trendy Twine Birthday

Hello Everyone,

Today is a very special day. We are celebrating Lesley's birthday at Trendy Twine.

I used the following sketch from Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug.

The birthday die cut is by My Favorite Things.

The Lemon Peppermint twine was the Trendy Twine spotlight during September. I used The Stamps of Life pattern paper ~ Believe Collection.

Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is ready to enjoy their weekend. What do you have planned? I told my hubby I'd like to get some new shorts, so hopefully we will find some good deals. We also need to pick up his Father's Day present.

As I was thinking about what project I wanted to make next, I decided to work on some sketches. I had about five or six saved on my desktop and was ready to get crafty.

I saved this sketch from Cardz TV last week because I liked the possibility of different background papers that could be used. I bought this paper pad (The Stamps of Life ~ Laugh Collection) at the Scrapbook Expo and was excited to use the patriotic colors.

The anchor is from a Miss Kate Cuttables file which was cut on my Cameo. I added ribbon, Trendy Twine, and a button to dress it up. Then Denim skittles by Carri were adhered in the lower left corner.

 The stamped sentiment is by Whimsical Designs (closed) and it is stamped on a MFT fishtail banner. The background mat was cut with MFT Blueprint #13.
