One Paper Pad and LOTS of Sketches

Hello Crafty Friends,
What a wonderful weekend it has been!
I made time to craft and be creative while the family was away on Saturday at either at work or a sporting event (my hubby has had to go to numerous district, regional, and state finals for every sporting event since he is administrator ~ plus I think he really likes it!). Today I finished adding a few touches along with taking pictures.
I have BUNCHES of paper pads started, but I usually don't finish them. Then I buy more since I like a pattern or two. Don't you do that too?!?!? This time I decided to try something different...use the entire paper pad, but find a variety of sketches so they are all different.
I started with this paper pad by My Mind's Eye ~ Bright. It was on clearance at Michaels for $2.99. I sure do like this paper since it is double sided and coordinates so well.
Then I searched on Paper Playful for sketches from this past week. This is the BEST site to see current challenges and winners without wasting lots of valuable time. WOW! So many to choose from!
Here are my cards...
For the first card layout from Deconstructed Sketch, I used a self adhesive pattern of gems for the focal point and added a few yellow flowers.
Crinkle ribbon (3 Girl JAM) is always a perfect touch!

This sketch is from Seems a Little Sketchy. The flower pot was cut from Freshly Picked.
Brown inking around all the edges to add an antique look.
This is last week's sketch from The Paper Players. I just doubled check and they have a new challenge posted.
I have never used this anchor from Wild Card 2, but was pleased to find a matching sentiment from Whimsical Designs.
Last sketch of the weekend...
I used the sketch from Technostamper.
I cut this mushroom and grass from Create a Critter. More crinkle ribbon (Little Scrap Pieces) for the tag.
I am quite pleased with the progress I made this weekend and I am hoping to stay on a roll. I still have a little more paper and a few more sketches on my desktop. Planning to get a few more done with this paper pad. I need to try again with another paper about you? Are you up for the challenge?  Which paper pad with you choose?
Stay Creative,

  1. WOW!! How super awesome!! I love the idea of using the whole paper pad...but I seem to run out of ideas before that would happen, you however, have done a wonderful job of it!! Gorgeous cards, all of them!

    1. Thanks! Using the variety of sketches made it so much easier. Give it a try!

  2. So happy to see you are crafting! I told my family I needed a break and hope to have at least 1 1/2 hrs crafting tonight ( we will see!) Your takes on the sketch are great, love the tag one with the mushroom and the anchor. Great paper pad too, you can't tell they are all from the same one!

  3. What a great bunch of cards, they are all so bright and cheery. Wish I could get inspired once again I have been sitting in front of the TV to much. Maybe I will check out a few of the sketches and give that a try. TFS and have a wonderful week.

  4. Wow, you really did have a great time stamping. What fun cards. I love that each are so different. Great job. So glad you chose my sketch as one of the ones you played along with! Thanks so much.

  5. WOW, you sure were on a roll! All of the cards look fabulous!

  6. They are all beautiful!! The sketches make a difference. Perfect take on each sketch! I usually take more time on setting up my card when there is no sketch to follow. Love it!

  8. That's a great way to challenge yourself!! I should do that... I have many pads with just the 'ugly' pages left!!
    Your cards are all beautiful!!!

  9. You got so many different looks with one pad.

  10. Georgiana ~ Well when the house is quiet its amazing what we all can do but I don't think I could do all this! WOW! BEAUTIFUL job on every single one of them! I did chuckle at your post ~ he probably does like going and hey it gets you some time to slip away and create!
