Blast Off on Your Birthday

Hello everyone!
Welcome to my new crafty followers. I am thrilled you have stopped by again.

Carri (from DoubleClick ~ AKA ABusyBee) and I have been chatting again...it has been months since we have really had any time to catch up. So glad we are reconnecting and crafting across the miles. We decided to look at the challenge list and find a few we could enter.

Today's project...
I suggested birthday and pattern papers, and she wanted aliens. We combined and piled on the challenges. I wanted a green alien, so I found colors that would coordinate together.

The rocket ship and alien are from Miss Kate Cuttables ~ Space Invader set. The stamped sentiment is from my hidden stash; therefore, it is an oldie. I think it is by Recollections. It works!
Other Materials:
black, grey, white, orange card stock
Black Soot distress ink
Frosted Lace Stickles
Versafine Black Onyx ink
MFT stitched rectangle dies
MFT scalloped oval frame

It's Almost Time...

Flowers at Pause Dream Enjoy

Happy Wednesday!
The challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy begins today.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Flowers ~
My first thought was April showers bring May flowers. Our April was quite dry and May has been super wet, but my flowers are blooming. I just wish I could be outside more to enjoy them.

Here is my Design Team project...
I pulled out my Rubbernecker Stamps ~ Flower Group #922 and new Caribbean Brights Color Burst powders (Fuschia and Orchid) to create this trio. The cardstock is by MFT ~ Razzle Berry and Grape Jelly and the watercolor paper is by Canson. It is not my favorite because it is not pure white, but it is thick and works well.

The MFT Stitched Rectangle Frame gives the card a more elegant, finished look. The MKC butterfly was cut on my Cameo. The stamped sentiment is from MFT ~ Tickled Pink set.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Pause Dream Enjoy this week for our "Flowerschallenge. Be sure to check out the other DT projects.

If you like what you see, please become a follower. Leave me your blog name and I will stop by to see what you have been making! Since I am off for summer vacation, I have plenty of time to visit.

Puppy Sends Birthday Wishes at Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Anything Goes ~
No excuse for not joining us since it can be anything you are working on.

Here is my Design Team project...
I am a major dog lover and will probably be one of those crazy old ladies that takes her dog every where. She is quite the spoiled pooch now and loves to go for long walks or take a ride in the truck.

I used the following sketch from Viva La Verve.

The puppy is from Miss Kate Cuttables.  Woof was cut on the Cameo from brown card stock.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Dog-Gone Awesome set. It was stamped with Vintage Photo Oxide Ink by Tim Holtz.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Anything Goes" challenge. These are the BEST! You can crate anything you want. Our sponsor this week is Stamp Simply.

Thinking of You and a PDE Birthday Winner

Happy Monday Fellow Crafters,

Looking forward to not having to get up and get ready for school for a month, so I can rest my aching neck. I have been experiencing excruciating pain again (happened about two years ago too) as a result of stress, and I am hoping having some time off will be the cure. Just having positive thoughts is already making me feel better. : )

Today's Project...
I logged onto Paper Playfulwhich happens to be my favorite website for challenges and I wrote down a list that I wanted to participate in. I enjoy combining a few of the challenges together for maximum creativity.

I used the following sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday and the photo inspiration from Your Next Stamp ~ Color Challenge. Such a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

The flower is from Miss Kate Cuttables and I only cut three of the rose layers on my Cameo. I used MFT dies, Paper Studio pattern papers from Hobby Lobby, and blue gems from Want 2 Scrap. The sentiment is by Cardz TV Stamps ~ Encouraging Thoughts.
Other Challenges:

Janis and I have been crafting buddies for many years and we have chatted, crafted, shared, and planned LOTS of projects over the years. I have even told Janis on numerous occasions how jealous I am that she has the time to make such wonderful and creative projects. One day I will too!

Here is my project...
I started with a Jaded Blossom clear gable box and then selected a few of my new MFT dies to create the scalloped oval frame. I cut the linked chain oval frame and congrats with my Cuttlebug. The sentiment is computer generated. The purple ribbon is by Melissa Frances.

Matching card with some alternating colors/patterns.

Hurry! Go Find a Basket

Hello Everyone,
It's Hump Day...otherwise known as Wednesday.
It is our last full day of this school year and we have planned some Summer Fun activities. The students need to stay busy to prevent chaos, so I am doing a Sunglass project and the other two teachers are making ice cream and 5th grade reflection wheels. Tomorrow is a Picnic at the Park.

The challenge at Craftaholics R Us also begins today.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Basket ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I searched through my Cameo's svg library for baskets and mostly Easter ones popped up. I thought about choosing one and filling it with flowers, but I didn't like how it looked. THEN, I found this cutie! I am much happier with this picnic pup by KaDoodle Bug Designs.

The pattern papers are from My Favorite Things and the stamped sentiment is by Lawn Fawn ~ Scripty Sayings.

I inked all the edges of the pup with Tim Holtz brushed corduroy distress ink. The red gems are from my stash...evens pups need a little bling.
I am sending this card to my daughter at college along with a Publix gift certificate. I may not be able to send a picnic basket filled with food, but I can still feed her another way.

Hope you will join us at Craftaholics R Us this week for our "Basketchallenge. Be sure to check out the other crafty creations.

Stay Creative,

Turtle Day at Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday!
Today is our final Awards Assembly for Fifth Grade and my last one too since I will not be in the same position next year. I recently read this quote...

“Changes are inevitable and not always controllable. What can be controlled is how you manage, react to and work through the change process.”

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Turtle Day ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I created an alcohol ink background to look like water. The sunny turtle is by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

This stamped sentiment is from a retired set by K. Andrews. You just never know what you will find in your stash.

My hubby said he really like the sunglasses on the turtle. Makes him look pretty cool.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Turtle" challenge.  Our sponsor this week is My Scrap Chick.

Georgiana
