September Challenge at Jaded Blossom

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is a SUPER exciting day! It is my first day as this month's Jaded Blossom's Guest Designer. I have the honor of showcasing the September Release.

It is time for the September Monthly Challenge.
Theme: Fall Colors

Here is my project:
When I think of Fall colors I think of reds, oranges, yellows, and browns...the colors of leaves changing. What better way to celebrate the seasons changing than with Fall M&Ms and a fun owl.

I used the Kind Thanks stamp set for the 1" top. This is a fabulous set since it has so many different ways of saying thank you. It is going to be perfect with all the upcoming holidays!

The tag was cut from the Scallop Slider & Topper Die. I used a Glue Dot to adhere it to the candy tube. The over-sized bow ties the fall colors together with the candy pieces.

I used the Jaded Blossom 1"x 6" clear tube...what a great container to hold so many different types of candy. The top pops on tightly keeping the candy fresh!

This month's JB Monthly Spotlight stamp set is Halloween Treats. It is on sale all month long for $10.99. Get your set today before they run out at that price!

Remember to share all your Jaded Blossom projects in the Garden of Creativity FB group and be sure to check out ALL their great products in the JB store.

Hope you will join this month's Jaded Blossom challenge...Fall Colors. Can't wait to see what you create! Looking forward to sharing the September Release! It's coming soon!

Owl-ways! at 3 Girl JAM

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another 3 Girl JAM creation.

Today I am sharing a shaped card with this fun owl from Hoot 'n' Holler. I have been searching my Cricut carts and finding a variety of shapes for the bases. They sure are fun compared to the typical rectangle.
I used Aqua Splash ribbon from the Caribbean Splash Bundle for Oriel the Owl's bow. Then a little more of the bunched ribbon across the bottom. A few orange and aqua buttons with coordinating craft thread.
Other Materials:
pattern papers unknown
orange, black, and white card stock
Sentimentals Cricut cartridge ~ card base (p. 35) cut at 4 3/4"; layers cut at 4 1/2" and 4 1/4"
Hoot 'n' Holler ~ owl#17 cut at 3 1/2"
orange and teal buttons
orange and teal craft thread
My Pink Stamper stamp
black ink

Do you need to order some crinkle ribbon? LOTS of colors to choose from and there are some on sale too. Be sure to use my code GC10 for a 10% discount.
Caribbean Splash Bundle ~$4.97 ~ 4 yds of each color

You still have time for the current challenge. Be sure to join us!

Birthday Hoots at Exploring Cricut

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

After making LOTS of Christmas cards this season, I decided I needed to start working on Birthday cards. I have one or two in my stock pile and that is not nearly enough to even get me through January. I am hoping there will be new challenges after the first of the year (since many have been on break for the holidays), so I can begin entering my projects.

Speaking of challenges...Exploring Cricut has a new challenge beginning this Monday and Die Cuttin' Diva begins Tuesday. Both are offering great prizes too!

Here is my Exploring Cricut project...
I did use a bow maker to make the triple crinkle ribbon bow.
I used mini glue dots to bunch the ribbon. If interested, please click here to see a pictorial.

It's Your Day (I Mean My Day) at Exploring Cricut

Good Morning,

Today is a great day...it's Saturday!
Yesterday was our last full day of school and next week the students have 3 fun-filled early dismissal days. We have a talent show, yearbook signing, a pizza party, and an award assembly. I am looking forward to Monday/Tuesday since I applied for a pilot program for next school year and I find out then. It is a chance to try something new in the class and integrate all the subjects. I will share more if I get the position.

Today is also my Exploring Cricut day. I post a project using my Cricut (Expression) every other Saturday.  I tend to use my Cricut for most of my projects, but this is a requirement for the challenges posted every other Monday. Be sure to check it out!

Here is my Design Team project for Exploring Cricut...
Materials:
Hoot 'n Holler Cricut Lite cartridge ~ party hat cut at 3"
Celebrations Cricut cartridge ~ sentiment
Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Five ~ background shape
background paper from scrap box
blue, green, and yellow card stock
green and yellow ribbon

Have a great day!

It's Your Day with Purple, Orange, and Black

Happy Diva Tuesday!

Today brings another challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas and what better way to celebrate than with a new project.

Our challenge this week is...a color challenge
Orange, Purple, and Black

I was a bit worried at first since I thought these colors were related only to Halloween, but once I started creating this card I realized the flexibility you have to design any type of card/project. I decided to use a birthday theme.

Here is my Design Team project...
Materials:
Hoot 'n Holler cartridge ~owl cut at 2 3/4" and balloon cut at 3 1/4"
Celebrations cartridge ~ sentiment
Recollections paper ~ Ravenhead Manor stack
purple, black, and orange card stock
orange ribbon
black craft thread
orange gems

This Week's Sponsor...

Thanks Barb!

Looking forward to seeing all those projects you create this week.

Beware of "The Owl"

Thanks for stopping by today. My daughter and I went to the store this morning searching for some good deals, but didn't find too many. We are going to try another part of town this evening (since the boys are camping). I did get some textured card stock at Joanns for $1.88 a pack and a new sanding block. I had to give it a try and check out what I made.

I embossed this black core paper I have had and then used my new sanding block to create this spooky effect. Looking forward to using it for some other projects.
Materials:
K&Company ~ KP Halloween Pad
Recollections Colored Core Paper Pad
Hoot 'n Holler cartridge ~ owl cut at 4"
October 31st cartridge ~ BEWARE, moon, and bats cut at 1/2"
graveyard embossing folder (see below)
sanding cube
purple gems
black and orange ribbon

Happy Hoo-lidays: Christmas in July Hop, Day 2

Welcome back my crafty friends and Thank You for joining us for our Christmas in July Blog Hop, Day 2! You should have arrived here from Tiffany at Sparkled Memories. If you just happened to stumble upon this hop, please be sure to go back to Elaine's blog @ ExpressionsByElaine so you don't miss any of the wonderful projects we have to share.

Today I made a wall hanging instead of a card.
I bought this plain green plaque at Hobby Lobby after Christmas last year for 70% off. Do you ever do that? You buy something because it is on sale and you just know you will find a use for it later. I do that ALL the time! I can't pass up a great deal!
I used Hoot 'n Holler to cut out the owl at 4" and his hat at 2". The green and blue paper is K&Company holiday stack from last season.
The trees  were cut from Doodlecharms at 3", 3 1/2", 4", and 4 1/2". I embossed them with Swiss Dots and then inked both the tops and trunks.
I created a 2" topper from Hoot 'n Holler, provided the owl with a present, and created snow with my Fiskar paper edger and Swirls folder. There are a few blue and red buttons in the corners.

I hope you have enjoyed all the projects and will come back once more for the final day. I would like to say "Thank you again" for stopping by and sharing your holiday memory. I remember when I lived up north we would go sledding down the middle of the road since we lived on a steep hill. You didn't have to worry about cars because they couldn't make it up the icy roads and they would just slip backwards. It is strange...I do NOT like cold weather any more and I do not miss the snow either.

Since this is a Christmas hop, I have a gift for one lucky person. It is a Cuttlebug embossing folder ~ Moroccan print. Please leave a comment each day for a greater chance of winning. Be sure to include what you like about the holidays, your blog address (if you have one), and your e-mail. The winner will be announced Wednesday, July 27th.
Your next and last stop will be Candace at Scrappin 2 Little Princesses. Enjoy!

Georgiana
