Camp Create Day 3: Spectacular Shakers

Hello All,

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by! This is my second post again because I have been following along with My Favorite Things Camp Create every day this week (just scroll down for my Paper Play Sketches post). I have been enjoying each day because I am actually learning a new tip or technique from every video. Today's skill for Day 3 was Spectacular Shakers.

When I first saw the Camp Create title I was a bit disappointed. I have created shaker cards before and was never quite happy with my final products. The sequins would always get stuck to the side of the window frame or the depth was too shallow and the sequins wouldn't move.  After I watched the video by Laurie I felt more confident that I could make a shaker that worked.

Using white craft foam is brilliant! Lining up the circle you cut from the cover on top of the foam was wonderful. The best tip was using the static bag around the inside of the window. The rest just fell into place.

I used the MFT flamingo die and Tickled Pink stamp set. The sentiment is heat embossed in white powder.

Here is Wednesday's badge.

Looking forward to Camp Create ~ Day 4. I wonder what the craft will be?!?!

Until tomorrow,
Georgiana

Ooh La La ~ Paper Play Sketches 29

Hello Everyone!
Happy Wednesday, otherwise known as...Hump Day. Students head back today and I am ready to see them! Looking forward to hearing all about their vacations, especially if they traveled. What a great life experience seeing new places and being able to share with others.

We have a new challenge starting at Paper Play Sketches. You know my thoughts...so many options and/or if you lost your mojo it helps you get started again. Why not give it a try!

This Week's Challenge...
Remember...sketches can be rotated 90 or 180 degrees.

Here is my Design Team project...
I was in a pink mood and having a ooh la la moment. Not sure if that is a romantic ooh la la or a look at me feeling. Whichever...loving the MFT flamingo.

The sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Simple Saying 3 stamp set.

The plaid pattern paper is by Lawn Fawn ~ Merry & Bright stack. The inside of the card coordinates with the cover.
Other Challenges:
Crafty Hazelnut ~ Pattern Paper
Love to Craft ~ Anything Goes
DL.Art ~ Anything Goes
Connie Can Crop ~ Anything Goes
PDE Linky Party ~ Anything Goes

Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members to see how they interpreted the sketch.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Project a Day #3 ~ Fabulous in Pink

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick post this morning since I am on my way out the door to head to the Scrapbook Expo in Orlando. Looking forward to the two classes I signed up for and some Early Bird shopping. I will be sure to share about the classes and any crafty goodies I purchase.

Here is my project for Day 3...yippee...so far so good with getting a project done each day.

The two MFT flamingos are staring at each other inside the Ella Avery frame.

I love the vellum with embossed MFT sentiment (Tickled Pink stamp set) laying over the pink polka dot paper.
Stay Creative,
Georgiana

It's a Sketch...Because I love you

Hello Friends,

This Week's Challenge...
February's Sketch

Here is my Design Team project...
I love to layer pattern papers and this deep, rich red was a perfect combination.

Here is the sketch! Give it a try!

I used the flamingo die and zig zag stitched oval by My Favorite Things.

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Sketchchallenge. The other design team members and our guest diva, Theresa, created masterpieces. Be sure to check out the variety!

Guest Designer at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons

Hello Everyone,

Happy Friday! Today is exciting because I am Guest Designer at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. After Lisa posted last week that she was looking for guest designers I jumped at the opportunity to create and share these amazing files.

For my first project I created a birthday shaker card using three different svg cutting files.

I used the Flamingos in Love file (and a present from the Birthday Cakes Cricut cartridge). A 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon bow that ties all the colors together was adhered in the upper left corner.

Stitched Shapes file makes an awesome mat.

I cut numerous (about 14) Photo Frames 1 and glued them together carefully stacking each one on top of the other. White sequins were placed under the clear transparency cover, so they will move freely.

For my second project I created a Patriotic tag for a jar of Sixlets. I used the Patriotic Balloon and Made with Love Tag files.

Every tag needs a giant bow! I used red ribbon, Martha Stewart bakers twine, and blue craft thread. Then a white star button finishes it off!
Other Challenges:

Be sure to stop by Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons to get your freebie today!

Happy early Independence Day if you live in the USA.

Happy Bird-Day with Your Favorite Colors

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...
Favorite Color Combination
This was NOT an easy decision. I love LOTS of colors and it seems to change by season or as the fashion trend changes. Not too long ago I loved the red, white, and blue combination. More recently I have been using/wearing pink...not pale pink, but a bright pink. You should see my new sneakers...they are bright...very bright!

Here is my Design Team project...
I decided to use pink with white and brown. This flamingo was a freebie a few weeks ago (Isn't she fun!) at Little Scraps of Heaven and the mat is from Elegant Edges (p. 39). The edges were inked in pink and then a couple pink pearls we scattered.
All the papers were from the scrap box (Yah!) and the stamp is by Cardz TV.

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Favorite Color Combination" challenge. The other design team members have done a fantastic job with their creations, so be sure to check them out! Also, we have Design Team news about two of our members.

Hope you will join the challenge this week!
