Food, More Food, and Even More Food

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by! It's time for a DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...
Food
This should be easy! If you love food like me there are LOTS of options! You could do scrumptious sweets, or be healthy and chose fruits. Maybe you prefer summer BBQ foods or easy game food like pizza. Like I said...so many choices!

Here is my Design Team project...
I am loving cupcakes right now. They may be unhealthy, but they sure taste delicious!

I used Slate Skittles.
Other Materials:
dark grey and cream card stock
MME/Teresa Collins paper ~ Vintage Finds
Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge ~ cupcake (2 1/4") p. 26
grey polka dot ribbon
Jaded Blossom stamp ~ Miscellaneous Fun set
Versafine Onyx Black ink

Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the "Food" challenge at DoubleClick Skittles. Be sure to check out the other Design Team members and see what their favorite food might be.

Thanks for stopping by!

Whimsical Wednesdays ~ Anything Goes Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another challenge...three days of Design Team projects in a row and I sure hope you are eager to enter them all. They are all so different, yet easy to combine.

Today is the Whimsical Designs first challenge since Stephanie created the new team. I am so excited to be a part of this team. "Thank You Again" Stephanie for the opportunity!
WW Challenge...Anything Goes!
(WW = Whimsical Wednesday)

I decided to make a fun birthday set...a card and cupcake holders.

First, a sparkly cupcake for someone very special.
Two different size holders depending if you want a regular or a mini cupcake. I know I would want a regular-sized, moist chocolate cupcake with sweet vanilla frosting. Oh...I think I might need to make some this weekend!

Inside of card shown below
Materials:
Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge ~ cupcake (p.27)
Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge ~ inside sentiment
pink and brown card stock
AMuse Studio papers
pink and white polka dot ribbon
pink buttons
glitter glue

Be sure to stop by Whimsical Designs to see the other DT projects and then check out Stephanie's stamps while there. I will be posting many projects with her stamps in the upcoming  weeks (I just received mine in the mail yesterday, so the weekend isn't coming soon enough to give them a try.). Looking forward to using the "With Love" set since Valentine's Day is right around the corner.

Looking forward to all your projects!

How About a Cupcake on the 4th?

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you have been enjoying your 4th of July (those from USA). My hubby had the day off, so we went out of town for half the day. It was a pleasant day getting some lunch and then doing a little shopping. No craft supplies today...instead my daughter and I got some Betsey Johnson jewelry that was on sale for 65% off. I do LOVE a good sale!

I made this card early this morning before we left, but was not able to take pictures until we returned. It is for a friend who has a birthday in two weeks.

This is also my Die Cuttin' Diva Design Team project...red, white, and blue. It is a day late since I have been working on a BIG project that has taken most of my time for the past 3 - 4 days. I can't say what it is yet, but it will be a series of projects with some helpful tips. I have  a few more pieces that I am working on before I release the details.

Here is my project for today...
I have never used this ribbon until today. I bought it on clearance after the holiday last year and was waiting for the right time.
The tiny stars on the cupcake are from a patriotic corner punch. I think they match the ribbon perfectly.
This flower is made from stars cut between the sizes of 1" to 2 1/4". I layered them, added the brad, twisted and fluffed the edges.
Materials:
Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge ~ cupcake (p. 27) cut at 1 1/2"
Celebrations Cricut cartridge ~ star (p. 110) cuts between 1" - 2 1/4"
red, white, blue and brown card stock
various pattern papers (polka dots, stripes, and stars)
white glitter
red glitter glue
blue brad
cupcake ribbon
Faded Jeans distress ink

Challenges:

Be sure to stop by Die Cuttin' Diva to see the other Design Team projects and to enter this week's challenge. We have another new sponsor...

3 X 3 Note Set

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I started working on this project yesterday afternoon and just finished it up this morning...trying to get creative with the photo display too (need to work on lighting/shadows still). It is a note set with matching gift bag. I am not really sure who I want to give this too, but I was thinking my mother-in-law would use it at work and her co-workers would love to receive one.

Here is my project...
The set includes six 3X3 cards and matching envelopes, which all fit in the coordinating bag.
A variety of materials were used to create this set.
I just love that flower...it is actually a star die cut layered in various sizes.

Materials:
Creative Imaginations star card stock (for treat bag)
red, white, and blue card stock
other patriotic paper from scrap box
red, white, and blue (star and round) buttons
blue satin and blue crinkle ribbon
red and white Martha Stewart twine
blue gems
red star brad, round blue brad, and polka dotted star brad
Cardz Tv stamps ~ Thinking of You and Smile!
My Pink Stamper stamps ~ You Can Do it
Docerela stamps ~ enjoy!
Spellbinders ~ Moroccan Motifs
Wrap It Up Cricut cartridge ~ treat bag (p. 40) cut at 9 1/2" (I used the fit to page feature.)
Celebrations Cricut carridge ~ envelope (p. 131) cut at 6 1/2"
Celebrations Cricut cartidge ~ star
Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge ~ pinwheeel (p. 29) cut at 2 1/2"
Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge ~ firework (p. 54)
Independence Day Cricut cartridge ~ bell cut at 2"

Cute Pink Purse...
Many people asked where did this purse come from. The pink purse was cut from Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge (p. 66) at 9 3/4".

Hope you have a great weekend.
We move our son into the dorms at UNF tomorrow. Exciting for him!

A Scrumptious Cupcake

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends,

I have this scrumptious little cupcake to share with you today. I made it for a sweet girl who is having a birthday party this weekend.
Materials:
K&Company papers ~ Carolyn Gavin Greenhouse pad
pink and brown card stock
Elegant Edges ~ scalloped square (p. 30) cut at 2 3/4"
Sweet Treats ~ cupcake
Swirls embossing folder
pink ribbon
pink button
pink ink
Key Lime liquid pearls by Ranger

Challenges:

Check this out...
My daughter (One Creative Teen) and I were looking for a treat sack that I can use for Back to School goodies and look what we found. I know we just got out for summer vacation, but I want to be prepared. She cut and folded the box (from Sweet Treats), and I added the handle with brads (and I also found a place for my liquid pearls.). I think this size treat sack will be perfect for the new group of students...except they will be getting different goodies. : )

2nd Blogoversary...
Coming in 4 Days!

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Guest Designer at Little Scrap Pieces

Hello Crafty Friends,

What a busy today it has been today. This morning I started with the Docerela Blogoversary Hop. WOW! All the brown and pink projects are FABULOUS! Be sure to scroll down or click here. Lots of great goodies along the way and you definitely do not want to miss a chance to win some of Catarina's stamps.

Then I went to school and it was a fast-paced day with math, reading, and science. The day ended with the students having "The Talk" today. I did not have to present the material, but I did sit in with the girls (just curious to see their responses). Never a dull moment!

Now, I am a Guest Designer for Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. She has been a wonderful crafty  friend for over a year now. When she asked me to share, I jumped at the opportunity. She has a challenge each week (which I love to try) and she makes amazing crinkle ribbon too.

Here is my project...

Materials:
Cricut paper pad ~ Tags, Bags, Boxes & More
Sweet Treats cartridge ~ ice cream #7 (p. 36) cut at 2"
black, pink, and white cardstock
black flower
pink button

Docerela stamp set

Can't wait to see all those projects!

Wish Big with a Sweet Treat

Hello Crafty Friends,
One of my friends from school had a birthday the other day and I did not give her a card yet since I have not seen her lately; therefore, I knew I had to make her a special card. I thought tying in the new Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge would be a great opportunity. I decided to make something sweet that would make Buddy from the Cake Boss proud. Have you seen his show? Aren't those cakes he makes masterpieces!?!?! I have a teacher friend that actually met him a couple years ago and has a picture with him.

The challenge this week at Die Cuttin' Divas is to use some *Sweet Treats* on your card.

Did you happen to see the prize for this week? The Eyelet Outlet has donated some of their brads. WOW!
