Black Plus One at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Tuesday...it is Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This week's challenge...
Black Plus One Other

Here is my Design Team project...
Being in a stylish mood I decided to go with a fashionista theme this week. Not that I could ever wear heels this high ( I think I am tall enough and probably would twist my ankle), but I could carry that adorable little purse.

I used the following sketch for both cards, but I did rotate one.

My daughter loved these shoes, but said the bottom should have been red. I told her that would not count for the challenge. I thought the silver was closer to the challenge. This svg file is by Designs on Cloud 9. The stamp is from K. Andrews (unfortunately it is no longer available).

This purse was cut from the Forever Young Cricut cart ( p. 56 at 2 1/4") and the same stamp set was used.
Other Materials:
Recollections paper
black, silver, and white card stock
black ink
white and silver sequins

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Black Plus One" challenge. The other design team  members have done a fabulous job with their creations, so be sure to check them out.

Tic Tac Toe at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is the day...Diva Tuesday and FCAT Writes. After today, I will be free of some stress until the Reading and Math test in April. In the meantime, I will be wishing my niece a "Happy 19th Birthday". Her big day is tomorrow!

The Challenge...Tic Tac Toe
Here is my Design Team project...
I used the diagonal from upper left to lower right...black and white, three pattern papers, and ribbon. I am hoping my niece will enjoy the fashionista look. She can be quite the model.
I used the following sketch from The Sweet Stop. They always have amazing sketches, so check them out too.
These heels were cut from Forever Young...so many stylish cuts!
Materials:
Making Memories paper
pink and white card stock
Forever Young Cricut cartridge ~ heels2 (p. 60) cut at 2"
pink crinkle ribbon
polka dot button
black and white thread
K. Andrews stamp ~ Fashionable Friends set
black ink

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our tic tac toe challenge. Don't forget to visit the other design team members and see their awesome projects. All the creative ideas are sure to give you some inspiration.

"Chic" Recipe and a Birthday Winner

Better late than never!

Hard for me to say, but I didn't even post my Die Cuttin' Diva card on my own site this week. I prepared the challenge post and added all the the Design Team's  projects (I even remembered Mr. Linky and all the links to the DT members), but didn't post my own card. Then I had a terrible headache yesterday and a Science meeting last night, which delayed me. So finally...

The challenge this week is a recipe...
feathers, flowers and/or fabric.
I tried to incorporate all three. I added a piece of black lace over the pink card stock to create a background and the feathers are draped over her blouse. It actually looks pretty neat in person. I like to feel different materials, so this card is perfect for the tactile person.

Here is my project...
Materials:
Forever Young cartridge
pink, blue, and black card stock
black lace
feathers
pink flowers (cut from an edge punch)
pink gems

Thanks with a Favorite Color

Hello Crafty Friends,

I wanted to share a new card I created and I have to say I really like it. I used my favorite color, which is brown, and I tried making distressed flowers. They look good, but I am not sure how they are going to fit into the envelope. This card just may have to stay on my shelf. : )

Materials:
DCWV ~ Natural stack
Forever Young cartridge ~ flower #4 (p. 67)
brown and gold brads
K&Company gold medallion
brown Inkadinkadoo ink
Fiskars "thanks" stamp
water ~ for scrunching petals
