Fall Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's party time! A crafting party that is!

Today brings a new Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas hosted by Tara.

The best season of the year! I absolutely love the weather, the colors, the holidays...everything about Autumn!

Here is my Design Team project...

Found this adorable little pumpkin mouse at Little Scraps of Heaven and added it to a treat box by My Scrap Chick. I used just the box from the Fall Treat Boxes file. Each of these svg files were cut on my Cameo.

The 2" tag was stamped with Enjoy which is part of the Picture This stamp set from Craftin' Desert Diva shop. I masked off part of the sentiment before inking to use just "Enjoy". It sure is nice when you can use a sentiment for multiple occasions.

I used the remaining card stock pieces from the mouse cuts for the box filler. It was easy to make...cut into strips, crimp (I have a Fiskars crimping tool), and then gently crumble. Just another way to use those scraps!

Falling for You

Hello Crafty Friends,

 

I just love when Carri and I can work out some mutual crafting time, especially since our schedules are so hectic now. She is volunteering in her daughter's class, so she has been grading lots of papers and understands what I go through every day. I told her I would wake up early and have my stack (I even sent her a picture so she would feel bad for me.) done before she gets up since we are in different time zones. We were able to find some fall challenges with leaves, which was perfect since it is my favorite season.

This tree is very intricate, but the branches are perfect for autumn.

This is a Studio G stamp. I bought it on clearnace last year and I am very surprised how nicely it stamped.

Fabulous Fall Blog Hop ~ Day 3

Welcome Back for Day 3 of our Fabulous Fall Blog Hop. I would like to say "Thank You" to each and every one for either returning or becoming a new follower. I hope that you have seen a project or two that you have enjoyed or found one to try on your own.

Autumn Has Arrived

I must say that I do not typically use the card feature on any of the Cricut cartridges because I like to create my own designs, but I thought I would try this one time. I used the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and selected the Tree on p. 47 since it went with this leaf paper I bought a couple weeks ago while Joann's had it on sale for 5 pieces for $1.00.

I have to say...I like it! You must definitely add some pizzazz to personalize the cut-out, but the feature has lots of potential. Who knew? I will reconsider using some of the other cards too.

This card was cut on 12 X 12 paper ~ fit to size which was 5 1/2". Autumn was cut at 3" from the same cartridge ~ p. 42. I added orange gems in the corners and brown ribbon around the trunk. 

Inside of the card has two pieces of layered papers and leaves in each corner.

Back for Some Challenges

The Halloween Hop was eerily fantastic, but I am ready to make some projects for a few challenges. I am submitting this card for the My Time to Craft Challenge #108: Looks Like Autumn and Paper Playtime Challenge #19: Ribbons, Buttons, or Rhinestones. I love these fall buttons and wanted to be able to use them immediately rather than storing them in the button box. I used brown craft paper and added a small piece of twine across the bottom.

I cut the pumpkins (on the front) and the two smaller pieces (on the inside) from a decorative piece of paper. The green checkered background paper was from a gift bag.

Time to make another! I am interested in making a Breast Cancer Awareness card next and the Cuttlebug Challenge sounds good too. What are you working on? Let me know so I can visit and leave a comment.
