Christmas in July with Exploring Cricut

Hello Crafty Friends and Cricut Enthusiast,

Today is a special day at Exploring Cricut. Not only is it challenge day, but we are having a Christmas in July hop. Lots of holiday projects with prizes along the way.

You should have arrived from Diana's blog. If not, that is okay. You can either go back to the beginning or just hop along. The line-up is posted at the bottom for quick reference.

Here is my Exploring Cricut project...
I always think of Santa when I think of Christmas and how else does Santa travel around with all those presents. He needs a sleigh. I know, I know...these are not the typical holiday colors, but they sure do look good together and it is all about Winter Fun. : )
 Materials:
DCWV paper ~ Winter Stack
grey and white card stock
Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge ~ sleigh (p. 53) cut 1 3/4"
green with silver trim ribbon
dark blue gems
computer generated sentiment

Challenges:

Here are some holiday goodies for one lucky person. I will also be adding some festive stick pins. These are some of the ones I have made in the past.
Please leave a comment and a way to get in touch with you (either your blog's name or e-mail address). You must be a follower to be eligible to win. The winner will be announced Saturday, July 21st.

"Hi!" with Triple Time Stamping

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are enjoying your day. We have had a great day. My son came home from UNF for the weekend, so we have had the pleasure of spending some time with him. We took him to lunch (at Sonny's) and the grandparents met us there too. I have been working on a school series, which is almost ready. I have 3 of the 4 (possibly 5) projects completed. My daughter helped with the Cuttlebug and my son did some gluing. Great team work!

I also found this new technique while hopping around that I just had to try...triple time stamping. Now, I am not a big stamper, but I sure do like the layered effect this stamping creates. I am eager to try again with multiple stamps and different color themes.
What do you think about the triple time stamping technique?

Materials:
DCWV paper ~ Hippie Chic stack
white card stock
flower stamp
pink, orange, and brown stamp pad
pink crinkle ribbon
orange gems
Hi! stamp by Stampendous (Happy Messages)

Let It Snow

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are enjoying your day. I know that it is quite hot and summer is on everyone's mind, but doesn't thinking about snow cool you down just for a moment? I do not like winter, cold weather, or snow, but I can imagine the beautiful landscapes covered in the white powdery fluff and children wearing their mittens to build snowmen. We moved to Florida when I was young, so my parents could get away from the winter months, and now I only get to experience snow when we go on vacation.

What I do remember loving about winter were the snowflakes. Not one was alike! Perhaps that is why I like to make cards...they never look alike.
 Materials:
Recollections paper ~ Jolly and Bright
Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge ~ sentiment
Potpourri Basket Cricut cartridge ~ snowflake
red and silver gems

Challenges:

Hope you have a great weekend,
