Give a Crafter a Fish Cookie

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends,

I am sitting here reflecting on this past weekend...did I get everything accomplished that I hoped, did I waste another only to make more work for Monday, or can we call it a well spent weekend? I would have to say the latter...what a busy weekend with LOTS completed. We did yard work in the front of the house, we went to see Wonder Women, I walked and rode my bike everyday since I am trying to lose 15 pounds, we made cruise reservations for next month (yippee), and I got a couple crafty projects done.

During the last two weeks I was getting back into the swing of things with the craft room make-over and I missed If You Give a Crafter a Cookie project. Here was the photo inspiration...

Here is my Design Team project...
I created a tag for a clear box. Originally I was going to to use the red Swedish fish to match the bobber and bow, but my hubby said "no" to them. He suggested gummy worms would be better. Who could argue with that?!?!

Clear box is filled with gummy worms. The tag is attached with foam squares.

You still have time to join the Give a Crafter a Cookie challenge. It doesn't end until Wednesday the 14th. It is a perfect theme for Father's Day.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend just as much as I did. What did you do? Share!

Until next time,
Georgiana

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday!

Welcome back to Carson's Creations . Today is my day to post at Miss Kate Cuttables. Before I share my design team project,  I want to remind you there is a free file that you can download every day. YES! Every day a new and different one. Be sure to get yours today!

Today's Freebie...Click Here

Here is my Design Team project...
My daughter likes goldfish snacks, so I made her a treat. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom ~ Fish On stamp set. I think my daughter will be hooked with this one!

I used the happy fish file by Miss Kate Cuttables and outlined the edges with Orange Peel Stickles.

I cut the tag on my Cameo and added a background layer using the offset feature. Blue crinkle ribbon coordinates with the waves in the pattern paper and a few dark blue sequins were added to look like bubbles.
Challenges:
Little Red Wagon ~ Tag
My Sheri Crafts ~ Tag

Miss Kate Cuttables has LOTS of files to choose from, so check them out.

Polka Dots Challenge at DoubleClick Skittles

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

The Challenge...Polka Dots/Circles
What a fun challenge that can be used for any occasion.

Here is my Design Team project...
I used the following sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I thought the "Cloudy" colored skittles made perfect bubbles. I also used "Chunky Rose" in the corners.

Here is the other September release stamp set from Scrappy Moms.

Hope you will join us at DoubleClick Skittles this week for our "Polka Dots/Circles" challenge. The other design team members have done a fantastic job, so be sure to check them out!

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Here Fishy Fishy Fishy!

Hello Crafty Friends,

 Today is a Super Saturday!
No particular reason, but if you tell yourself it is..then it will be, right? : )

Today I am sharing a card at Exploring Cricut that I made for our principal. His birthday was this past week and he loves to fish. He even told all the students on morning announcements that he planned on spending Spring Break out on the boat. How relaxing!

This fish is from the Camp Out cartridge. It is an older cartridge, but definitely perfect for the outdoors person or if you are trying to make a masculine card.
I wanted it to look like the fish had been caught, so I added brown cord for the..."I got a bite!"
Here are the other cuts.
Materials:
unknown papers
brown and kraft card stock
Spellbinder ~ Label Eighteen
brown ink
brown pearls
brown cord
brown ribbon

Hope you enjoy your day!
Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Let's Go Fishing for Birthday Wishes

Hello Again!
I have another card. This time I created a birthday card. One of the clerks at school asked if I could make her father a card for his 80th birthday and my first response was sure! Then I asked what does he like. She stated fishing, so I was lucky to find this paper in my stack and then the rest fell into place.
The card base is kraft paper which was cut from the Wild Card cartridge at 4 1/2".
The frame was cut from the same cartridge (p. 66).
The pair of fish fits perfectly inside the frame.
I added gold gems for some sparkle.
Inside the card is a cream colored liner, the marsh, and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment.
I left some of the grass shoots unglued to add dimension.
The sentiment is cut from kraft paper.

Challenges:
Bitten by the Bug 2 ~ Fishing (I do not own A Child's Year cartridge.)

Thanks for visiting.
