Happy Monday Everyone!

Hope you enjoyed the weekend. Yesterday we went to the movies to see Ant-Man...it was pretty good! We usually see ALL the super hero movies...they are just fun to watch.

Here is one of the sketches I worked on yesterday.

A Valentine Treat for You

Happy Valentine's Day!

 

The other day I made some owl treat bags for a co-worker (to be posted this weekend in honor of the birthday girl) and my daughter thought they were adorable. She decided she wanted some for her friends for her Valentines; therefore, Wednesday evening we made a few for her friends and teachers. How many do you think a few might mean for a 15 year old? Me...I thought 5 or 6 or maybe even 7 or 8. NO! She said she had 19 friends and then 6 teachers. How could I refuse an opportunity to make a crafty treat for her!

 

We found this cute elephant (Holiday Cakes Cricut cartridge) that was only 2 layers, which made it quick and easy to assemble.

I used Elegant Edges (book feature) for the topper and a sweet stamp. 

The teacher bags were quicker since I used a rectangle base, but the heart was still two layers.

She started to give them to her friends and teachers today since she is on a block schedule, so I hope the rest enjoy theirs tomorrow.

 

We are having a class Valentine party in the afternoon, so that should be a fun way to begin the weekend. It is a 3 day  weekend since we are off Monday for President's Day. Yippee!

Happy Birthday Newbie!

 Hello Crafty Friends,

 

I am back for a quick share since today is a special day...it is my daughter's 15th birthday. I was able to make this card using her favorite colors without her finding out. Yeah! I thought for sure she would have peeked at my craft area and noticed what I was working on. Today was extra special not only because it was her day, but her daddy took her to get her driver's permit immediately after school. He was originally going to take her in the morning, but then she found out she had an Algebra test...and she would not miss! 

 

I prefer not to have an orange car, but I think Kels will be happy with whatever she gets to drive. Newbies can't be choosey!

I used the sketch from Seize the Birthday. The theme is feminine birthdays.

She really liked the license plate.

Diana's Birthday Hop
