Happy Cruisin'

Good Morning,

Today is a fabulous day! I am heading to Orlando to the Scrapbook Expo. I am planning on shopping, a little volunteeering, and taking a card class. I am hoping for an exciting day.

Looking for a way to use your Cricut more often? How about a challenge too? Well, head over to Exploring Cricut for your opportunity. Every other Monday a new challenge is posted with a fabulous prize. Each day the team members post a project to encourage you to use your Cricut and all those cartridges that you  have been collecting. I just received my 5 new cartridges from using my Reward points and I am looking forward to using them. I haven't had time  yet, but summer break is in 2 weeks!

Here is my Design Team project for Exploring Cricut...
Materials:
Going Places Cricut cartridge ~ cruise ship (p 114) cut at 2"
blue and white card stock
pattern paper from scrap box
white cloud brads
computer generated sentiment
Spellbinder

Hope you have a great day.
I am getting to leave, so I will keep you posted on the Expo.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Road Trip!

If you are looking for my One Year Blogoversary Giveaway, please click here.

Good morning to all my crafty friends. It is a wonderful day here and only going to get better because I get to take a "Road Trip". Well, not a real trip across the country, but a trip down memory lane. This week the challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is planes, trains, and automobiles.

As I was growing up I remember getting in the RV with my grandparents and traveling from Massachusetts to Florida to visit Disney World and all the other Orlando attractions. I even remember one year I had the chicken pox a week before leaving.  I was not going to miss my annual trip and I went with spots all over.

Here is my card to honor those ever-lasting memories.
Going Places cartridge
RV was cut 1 3/4" (p. 97)
Suitcase was cut at 1 1/2" (p. 90) and Road Trip! was cut at 1 1/4" (p.97)

I look forward to seeing your cards this week at Die Cuttin' Divas and I hope you will share one of your memories. I have another one about a plane, but I will save that for the "Traveling Showcase" on Friday.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana : )

Vroom...Vroom...Welcome Home

My 12 year old daughter is on vacation in Tennessee with a good friend and her family and she will return Sunday after being away for 8 days. I decided to make her a Welcome Home card. She will like this because her luggage in the back of the truck is zebra print which is what she wants when she goes away to college ~ she is definitely planning for the future : )

I cut the truck from the Heritage cartridge and used the Cuttlebug to add embossing circles. The luggage and road sign are from Going Places.

If I can find a tiny picture of my daughter before she gets home Sunday night, I may add it to the window.
