Be Jolly with a Gingerbread Girl

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hard to believe that 2014 is almost over and half the school year has already flown by. I have been extremely busy with assisting students to become proficient with math skills and getting ready for the holidays. I decided it was time to make some "me" time to craft. How invigorating and refreshing! Why did I wait so long!

Today's holiday project...
A gingerbread girl with a jolly smile on her face from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Here is the sketch I used, which is from a previous Mojo Monday challenge.

Isn't her smile contagious!

Miss Kate Cuttables is having a Design Team call for 2015. I know it is time to start looking for some more crafting opportunities. This would be an awesome team to be a part of! The svg files are always fun and super easy to cut/assemble. Hoping for the chance to showcase more Miss Kate Cuttables svg files!
Other Materials:
My and My BIG Ideas pattern paper
red, brown, kraft, and white cardstock
Momenta holiday stamp
Ranger Archival Ink ~ potting soil brown
polka dot ribbon
red gems

Hope you have a great day!

5 Months Till Christmas Hop

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is the 25th of the month, which means we are counting down till Christmas. There are now 5 months until Santa visits. I have organized all my holiday cards in a Christmas storage box, so when November/December rolls around I will be be ready to address the envelopes and deliver. It should be a Happy Holiday!

Here are my Christmas projects...

~ Die Cut ~
I decided to start some holiday cards for my students. These are 3x3 minis. Each card is simple (but cute) since 9 - 10 years old are not extremely aware of the time it takes to create handmade crafts. Each card is stamped on the inside...Season's Greetings.
Materials:
white, brown, and red card stock
K&Company paper ~ Secret Santa pad
Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge ~ reindeer (p. 126)
Gingerbread Cricut cartridge ~ candy cane

~ Digi/Stamp ~
I liked the triple time stamp technique so much I tried again with snowflakes. These are also 3x3 minis.
  Materials:
white cardstock
K&Company paper ~ Secret Santa pad
Martha Stewart snowflake stamps
blue ink pads
blue gems

Christmas Goodies:
What is a blog hop without a special treat? I have a surprise gift for one lucky person. Be sure to include your blog name and e-mail address. The winner will be announced Wednesday, August 1st

Here is this month's line-up:
Georgiana ~ http://carsonscricutcreations.blogspot.com/ (That's Me)

If you are interested in joining next month, just leave a comment. You will feel quite relieved knowing you are getting your holiday cards done in advance and you can spend all that extra time with the family instead when it is most important.

Hop on over to Tara now. This is her first month joining our countdown. She ALWAYS has marvelous projects!

Brrrrr! It's Time for the Christmas in July Blog Hop, Day 1

Welcome crafty friends.
I am super excited that you are here today for the Christmas in July Blog Hop. Yeah!

Here is a note from our blog hop hostess:
Thank you for joining me to help me celebrate our Christ's birthday. I love all things about Christmas and start planning Christmas as soon as the Christmas tree comes down. So I decided to host this fun celebration with some of the most talented crafters that I know.
I do have a few rules for this hop, in support of each crafter and the time they have put into their work, to be eligible for the "Grand Prize" you MUST visit each blog and leave a comment for each day of the blog hop and also become a follower at "Scrapping With Lisa" and my facebook page:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Scrapping-with-Lisa/130882060268842. Please let me know if you don't do facebook and I won't count that against you for the grand prize. Now for the grand prize, I bet you are wondering what it could be. It will be a big grab bag full of scrapbooking supplies related to Christmas.
Have fun and enjoy all the wonderful projects created by some wonderful talented friends.

If you have started on this blog you’re on the right track. If not, and just found this hop, you can go back to the beginning (HERE) and hop along with us. You definitely do not want to miss any of the wonderful projects (or goodies).

This hop runs from July 15-17th, so you have plenty of time to make it all the way through the hop. Check out each blog and see what each blog has to offer for BLOG CANDY! Please come back tomorrow to see what new projects have been created. After all, it's Christmas in July and who doesn't like Christmas.

Now for my project: Many of you may know that I am 5th grade teacher and I love to make cards for people at school. This was the perfect time to begin my holiday cards for my new class. I do not know how many students I am going to have this year, but I am glad I am able to get started on them now.

I used the Gingerbread cartridge to cut the gingerbread man and the Doodlecharms cartridge to cut the reindeer.
This background paper is Alpine Socks by k*i memories.
These snowflakes were cut from the Potpourri Basket cartridge. The sentiment was cut from Jolly Holidays.

I am looking forward to tomorrow since I get to post another Christmas in July project. How exciting! Since this is all about Christmas...I have a gift for one lucky person.
Please leave a comment each day for a greater chance of winning. The winner will be announced Monday evening, July 18th.

Thank you again for joining all of us for the Christmas in July Blog Hop.
Until tomorrow,
Georgiana
