Fun Sized Halloween Treats

Happy Halloween!

We have school today, so I hope the kids are ready to learn and have no plans to play any tricks. If they do...no treats for them! Eeek! I am super excited to give these out at the end of the day to each of my students...they really are a great bunch. I found all the fun sized treats at Michaels this past Saturday for 70% off. What a deal! Notepads, pumpkin erasers, and bubble wands.

I cut all the 3" tags from the Plantin School Cricut cartridge. First, I cut the shadow in black and then the regular tag in white. The crackled background stamp is from Jaded Blossom ~ Halloween Paint Splatters set.  I stamped the sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Halloween Treats 2 in orange ink and then again in black. The mini black bats are from a Martha Stewart edge punch.

Purple Haze organza ribbon and orange/white twine for a bow

I made 20 treats bags, which are all stuffed and ready to be given out.

Hope you have a spook-tacular day!

Thanks for Fall Festival

Hello!

Another late night for me,  but definitely a productive one. I finished a sketch and my class treats for Halloween (yippee). Those I will share on Monday just in case I have any sneaky peekers trying to find out what the surprise might be.

We had our Fall Festival this past Friday evening and I am extremely grateful for the parents and former students that helped with the games. I want to show my appreciation with a thank you card. Here is one, but I know I need about half a dozen more.

I used the following sketch by Freshly Made Sketches. I rotated mine 90 degrees, used My Mind's Eye paper ~ Graceful stack , and  then added a few yellow gems.

The sentiment is a thinlit die by Sizzix and the flower is by My Favorite Things.

I plan on spending  Sunday with my daughter in Jacksonville. When I get back I will work on a few DT projects and another sketch. Sounds like it is going to be busy, busy, busy!

Can't wait to see what you have been creating!

Thanks for Double Sided Paper

Hello Everyone,

It is getting late here, but I just finished up a card using a sketch that I wanted to share. I have six sketches on my desktop that I plan on working on within the next couple of days, and I am hoping to get them all completed. Tomorrow is Friday and it is our annual Fall Festival. The teachers get the money for classroom materials and I would like to get some new circuit boards for the class. We started learning about electricity and what better way than with wires, batteries, and light bulbs.

I need some thank you cards because I only have one or two in my stash. With the holidays approaching that will not be enough. Time to make more!

I used the layout from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

The papers are from My Mind's Eye ~ Remarkable stack. It is easy to combine various patterns when the paper is double sided.

The stitched circle die and flowers are by My Favorite Things. The stamped sentiment is by Craftin' Desert Diva ~ Simply Said set. I found the green ink by Studio G in my stash...something I got at Christmas time either last year or the year before. It may not be the best quality, but it matches those leaves perfectly.

The inside coordinates with the same colors and patterns.

Hope your Friday is fabulous and you find time to craft or relax this weekend. My daughter asked me to visit her at college for a day, so I am looking forward to spending a little time with her. Shopping is always a way to reduce stress...and I can't get stressed because my students need me there!

Witching You Tons of Treats

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by. We have Trail Day at school, which is an entire day of collaboration for my grade level while the students travel to special areas. They have art, music, media, STEM, and computer time. Hoping to get lots accomplished as they are learning through fun activities!  Today I am also sharing the new challenge at Paper Play Sketches.

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
I thought I'd make another Halloween card and the gold and black paper by Recollections called out to me.  I wish I knew who the witch's hat die cut was by...I couldn't find which company it was by in my collection. Anyone know?

This stamped sentiment is by Inky Antics. I bought the Halloween Witch stamp set at Michaels last year. Didn't see much of a selection this year, but I am glad I had this one!
Be sure to visit  so you can see the other Design Team's creations.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketch challenge.

Happy Birthday Earthling

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by on this wonderful Wednesday.  Today I am sharing the new challenge at Paper Play Sketches.

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
I originally was going to make a Halloween card for this sketch, but decided an alien would be just as fun.

The alien is part of the Space Invader bundle by Miss Kate Cuttables. I wanted a birthday balloon, and the stars are part of the file too.

I don't have an alien stamp set (Bummer), so this is one is computer generated. I like the funky font!

The pattern papers are from The Stamps of Life paper stack ~ Hello Friend.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketch challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members since there is so much inspiration!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Fight for a Cure...Think Pink

Hello Diva Fans,

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I hope you will join us this week since this is an important and meaningful challenge.

This Week's Challenge...
Think Pink
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States (other than skin cancer). But millions of women are surviving the disease thanks in part to early detection and improvements in treatment.

Here is my Design Team project...
A dark pink tumbler (from the Dollar Tree) personalized with a light pink ribbon. I cut the vinyl on my Cricut at 4''. I peeled the negative around the shape of the ribbon, and then used transfer tape to apply the vinyl to the center of the cup.

The tag was cut from Plantin Schoolbook at 3 1/2". The ribbon was cut from the Pink Journey Cricut cartridge at 2 3/4". The stamped sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set ~ Fight for a Cure.

The Hershey Kisses (wrapped in pink foil) have two different sentiments on the bottom, which is part of Fight for a Cure stamp set. I alternated between white and kraft paper with Hope and Faith.
Other Challenges:
Allsorts ~ Let's Make It Pink
In the Pink ~ Ribbon and/or Bows
Craft Your Passion ~ Always Anything Goes

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Think Pinkchallenge.

Enjoy your day!

Boo! It's Almost Halloween!

Hello Everyone,

Happy Monday! Today we have Teacher In-Service Day and the students are enjoying some time off. Yes, I am a little jealous! I should have taken the day off too, so I could enjoy some time with my pup...just like this one! Well, I don't actually dress up my dog for Halloween, but she still is a cutie. : )

I used the Chibi Puppy Witch by SVG Cutting Files and cut the pieces on my Cameo. The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Halloween Treats 2 set. The little pennant is by We R Memory Keepers ~ 7 piece metal die set from Amazon.

Classic Halloween colors to add a little fright to the night.

I used the following sketch from Sunday Stamps.

This little Dracula is a sticker I found in my stash. I stamped the inside with  "Happy Fright Night" ~ Jaded Blossom Halloween Treats 2 set.

Hoping to get some new, fresh ideas from training today...staying positive! Looking forward to after school though, so I can finish a couple projects I have on the craft table!

Have a fabulous day!

MFT Birthday Candles

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday afternoon. I just finished this trio of cards that I started yesterday and I sure do like this My Favorite Things stamp set and die.  When I went to the MFT shop in Eustis last month, we used this set during our class and I had to splurge and get it.

First, I stamped the candles in a variety of colors, so I could mix and match. I stamped some white card stock with yellow and orange ink before cutting the flames.

I used the scalloped die from MFT Blueprint #20 for the background mat. This sentiment is part of the Make A Wish stamp set. My hubby said he liked the blue polka dot bow with the sequins.

I used the Wonky Stitched Frame by Avery Elle for the background.

After using two white backgrounds, I decided to add a little color. The stars grabbed my attention when I was flipping through card stock (The Stamps of Life ~ Laugh Collection). Then, that gave me the idea of using stars for the flames. The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Supersized Birthday Greetings set.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Secret Pal Gift Bags for the Season

Happy Friday!

The weekend is just around the corner and I am looking forward to a couple days off. My class is wonderful and we work hard everyday, but some crafting time is what I need! No more papers to grade, no more teacher editions, just some card stock and adhesive. How about you?

Today I'd like to share a few more treat bags that I made for our Secret Pal activity that we do at school. First, it is voluntary and it last all school year. We are required to give secret gifts each month with a limit of $15 per month. I like to buy 2 or 3 small gifts every other week for my secret pal. It sure cheers you up when you get a surprise.

This is the crow behind pumpkin file by Miss Kate Cuttables. I used my Cameo to cut the layers, inked the edges, and added wiggly eyes to the crow.

The tag was cut on my Cricut using Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The stamped sentiment is by Bug Bites ~ Autumn Splendor set.

Eek! A couple more!

The Halloween vampire owl is by Miss Kate Cuttables.  Don't you love how big his eyes are?

Looking sharp in his tuxedo!

I got these orange and burgundy ribbons at Walmart after last season. They are actually great quality and tied nicely on my bow maker. This stamped sentiment is from Hampton Arts ~ Micheals 50% off.

Lastly, a yummy vampire cupcake by Miss Kate Cuttables. The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Halloween Signs set.

Hope you have a fabulous day and enjoy your weekend too!
