Let's Celebrate with Balloons

Hello Everyone,

Happy Thursday! Today I am sharing If You Give a Crafter a Cookie's new challenge. These are quite creative challenges...you have a picture of a cookie (yes, a cookie) and you use it as inspiration to create your project....a card, a layout, a tag, a gift bag...anything!

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
I sure do like this cookie! Must be the free floating colorful balloons that send a happy feeling. My balloon bouquet is by Miss Kate Cuttables and the scalloped edge with mat is by MFT ~ Blueprints 20. I used my Gansai Tambi watercolors to create the sky-like background.

The stamped sentiment is by My Scrappy Moms ~ More Mini Messages.
Hope you will join us at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie this week for our "Photo Inspirationchallenge. The other design team members all interpreted the picture differently, so go check it out!

Stay Creative,

Paper Play Sketches #36 ~ What's at the End of Your Rainbow?

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by.  Today I am sharing the new challenge at Paper Play Sketches. Great way to combine a few challenges since you can choose any colors, theme, sentiment, etc.

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
Since Valentine's Day is over I have started thinking about upcoming holidays. It was a toss up between St. Patrick's Day and Easter. Although I would love a big basket of chocolate eggs, the pot of gold won. I could definitely buy a lot of crafty supplies with all that gold!

The pot of gold with rainbow is an svg file by Miss Kate Cuttables. It is part of the St. Patrick's Day bundle. The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Luck of the Irish set. I also added a few glitter enamel dots by the Eyelet Outlet and Brads to bring out the sparkle in the cloud (even though you can't really tell I added Wink of Stella clear glitter).

Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members to see how they interpreted the sketch.

The Divas are Crazy for Animals

Hello Diva Fans,

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I hope you will join us this week since there are so many choices.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Animals~

Here is my Design Team project...
Deciding which animal was the most difficult part of this challenge. There are so many to choose from and how do you pick just one! There are pets (cats and dogs), farm animals (horses, cows, chickens), zoo animals (tigers and lions), or even wild critters (bears, raccoons, etc). I finally selected this elephant treat box by My Scrap Chick.

The back side is just as cute...check out the tiny tail.

Small rectangular box easily stores individually wrapped treats.
Materials:
gray and pink card stock
black and raspberry ink for edging
wiggly eyes
pink polka dot ribbon

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Animalchallenge. Be sure to check out the other design team critters.

Pink Multi Jewels from Eyelet Outlet and Brads

Click here for the Valentine Hop or just scroll down.

Hello Everyone!
Today is my first day to post at Eyelet Outlet and Brads...very exciting! Before I share my design team project,  I want to let you know that there is a Daily Deal where you can get a product each day at a discounted price. YES! Every day a new deal. Be sure to check it out!

Here is my Design Team project...
I decided to make Valentine tags for my student's gift bags.  Since I have 20 students, I made 20 tags.

I used Multi Jewels which come in a variety of colors. I used the smallest pink jewels for the corner of my tags.

The tag base is by Miss Kate Cuttables, but the top layer is another file. The heart is from the mailbox I posted yesterday (SVG Cuts) and the stamped sentiment is by Whimsical Designs. I cut all the pieces with my Cameo.

I used pink ribbon and a black and white twine to attach the tag to the bag.

Here is the gift bag from yesterday's Valentine blog hop. I think it looks awesome together. If you missed the hop scroll down and check out the projects and blog candy. You still have time!
 Other Materials:
red, black, and white card stock
Versafine Onyx Black ink

Eyelet Outlet and Brads has such a wide variety of products you need to check them out today!

Valentine Blog Hop

Welcome to the Valentine Blog Hop!
This hop is about sharing the love we have for our family, friends, co-workers, and crafty bloggers. Enjoy the creativity, get inspired, spread some crafty love, and then pass it on.

There are ten stops and you won't want to miss any of them! I am the first stop, so I am glad you have joined us. There is also a complete line-up at the end of this post just in case you need it.

What would a hop be without Blog Candy?!?! Since we LOVE our crafty friends, each blog has a bit of candy that needs to be won. Thank goodness for candy!

And Here's How:
Be sure to be a FOLLOWER and COMMENT on each blog.
If you are a follower, your comment could be randomly drawn to win some fantastic prizes. Read each blog post carefully to see what is being offered at each stop along the way.

Here is my project:

I decorated 20 black gift bags...one per student. I bought some stickers, a notepad, and a pencil for each student's bag. There are a few students that volunteered to bring in candy, which will go in the bags too. I may make a tag for each bag, but not put individual student's name on it.

I used a scalloped heart (about 6") from SVG Cutting Files and a mailbox from SVG Cuts ~ 24 Valentines Kit. The envelope actually pulls out.  I cut all the pieces with my Cameo.

Each bag will be used for the student's Valentines that they get to pass out to each other. We are also having a class party on Tuesday with cookies, brownies, cupcakes, chips, fruit, and drinks. The students will be able to open their Valentine's from each other and then I am planning a game.

This is the prize being offered on my page:
It's a surprise, but don't worry...I love to share crafty goodies.

Remember to win, you need to be a follower of my blog and leave a comment!
You have until Sunday night, February 12th at 8:00 pm EST to hop along with us! All winners will be announced on Monday, February 13th on each individual blog. The winners will also be posted on Carson's Creations Facebook page after all the winner's posts go live on each blog.

Here's the complete hop line-up in case you need to start at the beginning. Enjoy!

Janis (next)

Thank you for hopping along with us today! Your next stop is Janis.

Happy Early Valentine's Day,

Candy Grams for Valentine's Day

Hello Everyone!

Today is my day to post at Miss Kate Cuttables. Before I share my design team project,  I want to remind you there is a free file that you can download every day. YES! Every day a new and different one. Be sure to get yours today!

Today's Freebie...Click Here

Here is my Design Team project...
I have been working on Valentine Candy Grams for school. Students and staff may "buy" one flower for 10 Box Tops (there is not limit on how many you can "buy"). My students will be delivering them to the recipients on Valentine 's Day.

I used traditional Valentine colors...pinks and purple for the first 50. I used a long reach hole puncher to cut a whole in the center for the lollipop stick. I plan on making red ones for the next 50.
I used the following MKC files...Valentine flower and Cute flower.
The heart shaped petals were cut from Valentine Flower and the leaves were cut from Cute Flower.

The sentiment on the green leaf is from a Recollections stamp set.

Miss Kate Cuttables has LOTS of files to choose from, so check them out today.

I Love You Shaped Card

Thanks for stopping by at Carson's Creations!

I used a I Heart You file provided by The Cutting Cafe and coordinated the colors with the cookie photo.

I added a felt heart with black and white craft thread and then scattered some red gems on the polka dot heart.

The stamped sentiment on the inside is by Jaded Blossom ~ Valentine Treats stamp set.

Hope you will join us at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie this week for our "Photo Inspirationchallenge. The other design team members all interpreted the picture and sponsor's files differently, so go check it out!
