Anything Goes Crafty Party at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome Back! Thank you for all the kind words this past weekend. Making the All Things Spring projects and sitting Easter Bunny cards were a great way to end Spring Break. Although I am heading back to school today I still have lots of ideas and projects to complete. A belly box is calling my name!

Today also begins a new Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas hosted by Tara.

Crafty Party Theme...
Anything Goes
These are the best since you have so many options!

Here is my project...
Another shaker card using sequins. This time I used the negative (the paper around the die-cut). I taped a piece of clear transparency to the underside and then added double-sided mounting tape around the kite. After making this card I purchased some different foam tape to make the shaker slightly thicker.

The thank you stamp peeks through the shaker window. Three purple sequins were adhered to the upper and lower right corners and the purple ribbon mimics the kite string. I can hear "Let's go fly a Kite".
Materials:
purple and white card stock
cloud pattern paper
purple ribbon
purple and frost sequins
inkadinkadoo stamp
purple ink

Hope you will join us for this crafty party at Craftin' Desert Divas! The more you link up, the better chance you have to win! Visit Craftin' Desert Diva for all the rules and to play along.

Sponsors for this Linky Party are...

A Happy Easter Bunny

Hello Crafty Friends,

Thank you for stopping by yesterday for the 3 Girl JAM Spring Hop. If you missed the projects, please be sure to scroll down. You still have time to leave a comment for your chance to win some prizes.

Today I would like to share this darling Easter Bunny. I am loving these over-sized floppy ears and the precious eyes.

A light pink organza bow, with green/white double twine bow, and a mini tag cut using a metal die from My Craft Spot. The "happy easter" stamp is from Jaded Blossom.

This bunny was a freebie at KaDoodle Bug, but now you can get the Sitting Bunny for a $1.00. First, I cut the file with my Cameo. Then, I inked all the edges in brown or pink and adhering the pieces was super easy. A few pearls on the tag and in the upper left corner keep it girly.

Since this bunny is way too cute, I decided to make two!  I just alternated the background papers and twine colors. The one in the background has pink twine.
Challenges:

Hope you enjoy your Sunday. Today is my last day before heading back to school tomorrow. Only nine more weeks of school. The school year sure does fly by!

Remember to scroll down to see 3 Girl JAM Spring Hop if you haven't already.

All Things Spring at 3 Girl JAM

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to the 3 Girl JAM All Things Spring Blog Hop. You should be joining me from the 3 Girl JAM blog. If not be sure to start at the beginning and then hop on through to see all the amazing Spring projects.
Today begins a new challenge at 3 Girl JAM and a new ribbon release is being showcased. Here in Florida many of the trees are beginning to bloom and they sure do look pretty...there are LOTS of flowers! They smell wonderful too!

The newly released LG Bundle ~
(only $4.97 for 8 yards and you can use Spring25 for a discount)

This crinkle ribbon is super easy to bunch, tie bows, or you can make your own flowers. I added a stick pin with green beads that I created.

I found this box in my stash (actually it was a pack of 6)...something I bought at Michaels when it was on clearance for 70% off. I added the LG ribbon on each side, then cut and assembled the Spring flower. I love all the layers! I used a quilling pen to roll the center flower piece. It helps keep a tight roll and prevents unraveling.
A small stamped tag was adhered to the green leaf making it a perfect gift for anyone.
Materials:
DCWV pattern paper
green, brown, silver, and white card stock
April Showers Cricut cartridge ~ tree
Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge ~ various flower pieces
stick pin
silver flowers
Docerela Creations stamp (Spring)
My Craft Spot stamp (Thankful...)
black ink

Hope you will join us for the All Things Spring Challenge at 3 Girl JAM.
March 29th - May 2nd
Prize...$20 gift certificate to 3 Girl JAM

My Blog Candy...
Handmade stick pins
(I even made the matchbook container for storing and mailing the decorative pins...I was SUPER excited to get the measurements exactly the way I wanted.)
* Leave a comment stating what you enjoy about Spring
* Be sure to leave your contact information (e-mail, blog, and/or FB)
* Winner will be announced by Thursday evening

Here is the hop  line-up...

Your next stop will be Carri.

These Flowers are Just for You

Hello Crafty Friends,

Thanks for stopping by again! I hope you are enjoying your week. It sure has been a busy Spring Break week...made a few projects and bought a new vehicle (that took some time!). Hopefully today will be crafty productive...I plan on making various treat bags and I am going to try making a belly box. I just bought 9 patterns from My Scrap Chick yesterday. I know 9...I could not decide! They were 75% off which made it much more difficult. Take a peek and let me know which one is your favorite.

Today I would like to share a card that could be for any occasion, but I was thinking Mother's Day is not too far away. My Mother-in-Law will definitely appreciate it!

Here is the Mojo Monday sketch that I used.

To make the banner...I adhered the twine along the paper line using a MS glue pen. Then I trimmed the yellow paper into 3/4" wide rectangles. Next, I cut the yellow pennants by hand with scissors.  Finally, add a little more glue and position evenly.

Red and white twine was tied around the flower vase. The flower vase was cut from Kate's ABCs Cricut cartridge. This is such a sweet cartridge with so many feminine choices. Both Amazon and ScrapbookPal have it available if interested.

Here are some of the cuts available on this cartridge.
Materials:
My Mind's Eye paper
green and white card stock
Kate's ABCs Cricut cartridge ~ vase (p. 54) cut at 3"
American Craft twine
Docerela Creations stamp
black ink

Other Challenges:

Enjoy the rest of your week and weekend!

Teenage Dream ~ #Awesomity

Here is my DT project...
This helicopter is totally awesome for any little man, so why not coordinate it with an #awesomity stamp! Bright primary colors, floating clouds, and a couple sparkle dots (I actually made these by melting some pony beads at 400 degrees for 12 - 15 mins.).
The Little Scraps of Heaven helicopter was cut on my Cameo. It was a freebie a couple weeks ago. Be sure to check each week for a different design.
Other Materials:
pattern paper from scrap box
red, blue, yellow, green, white, and black card stock
April Showers Cricut cartridge ~ clouds cut at 3/4"

Shake That Eight!

Happy Friday Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by yesterday for the new Teenage Dream Stamp Release (scroll down if you missed it). Today is my 3 Girl JAM day and I am sharing a birthday card for a sweet 8 year old.

Here is my Design Team project...
I decided to create another shaker card because I wanted to try and make it thicker than last time (Best Wish Clover). I was quite frustrated while cutting the transparency film and framing the double sided tape, but I think the next one will be much easier.
I wrapped the ribbon around the entire frame to hide the double sided tape. Then a bow that combines the new Lemon-Lime and Summer Sprinkles ribbon was adhered to the bottom.
I figured any child would find pleasure in interacting with their card, so I added green, orange, and frost sequins.
Other Materials:
Fancy Pants paper ~ Summer Soul stack
cream card stock
Elegant Edges ~ frame cut at 3 1/2"

Plantin School book ~ 8 cut at 1 3/4"
Happy Birthday stamp
black ink

Hope you will join us at 3 Girl JAM for March's challenge. There are still a few days left before the deadline.

Best Wishes with a Clover Shaker

Hello Crafty Friends,

What a quick and busy weekend. My hubby and I went looking for a new vehicle today since my daughter will be getting mine for her 16th birthday (in 24 days...she is counting down and sending reminders). I really liked the Acura RDX (do not need a big SUV since kids are older, but I do want a SUV). Any suggestions? What do you like if you own one?

Only one more week until Spring Break...Yippee! I love my class and teaching, but a little vacation never hurt! No plans to travel, but just the relaxation time and no papers to grade is ideal.

Here is my attempt at a shaker card. I like it, but want to try another (and another). I need to make it slightly thicker next time, so the confetti moves easier. It was easy and I have lots of ideas now. Tanya at Studio 5380 ALWAYS has amazing shakers! Can't wait till next week...so many ideas I am going to try and make!
Materials:
DCWV pattern paper ~ grey chevron
Me&My Big Ideas paper ~ green chevron
cream card stock
shamrock confetti ~ 50% off at Joanns
double sided tape
green and white (Peacock) twine
tag ~ Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge
Best Wishes stamp
black ink

Challenges:

If you have made a shaker card...what other ways have you tried besides using the negative? I am up for trying a variety.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Good Luck Irish Bear

Hello!

I can't believe I am running so behind! This Daylight Savings sure does get the best of me for the first couple days. Fell asleep super early last night, woke up at least 3 times in the middle of the night, and now trying to make up for lost time. Phew! Another day or two and I should be adjusted.

Today also is the Die Cuttin' Diva Design Team Day, which is definitely much better than the past couple of days.

The new challenge is...
Luck of the Irish
I created this "Good Luck" bear, which was a freebie at Little Scraps of Heaven.
Lots of scattered gold sequins and glitter, Trendy Twine ~ Limeade, and a good luck stamp.
Other Materials:
card base is 4 x 5.5 (It is BIG!)
green, brown, and black card stock
shamrock pattern paper

Challenges:
Hiding in My Craft Room ~ Super Scraps (so glad to use these pieces)

Thanks again for stopping by. I am so glad you like my candy dispenser yesterday, I have a couple other 3-D projects in the works I think you will like too. They will be coming soon!

For now...stop by Die Cuttin' Divas and check out the DT projects (we have 3 new DT members!). Be sure to join our challenge each week...we have fabulous prizes.

Candy Dispenser for Your Sweets

Hello Everyone,

The weekend is slowly coming to an end, but I am feeling that I have accomplished much. A 21st Birthday Hop for Ashley, my photo light box arrived by Fed-Ex on Saturday, I created a list of crafts I want to try, and then today I got busy with those projects.

One particular project I found at the Silhouette On-Line that I just had to try was this candy dispenser box. Isn't it fabulous?!?! My hubby thought it was neat; therefore, I am going to to give it to him for his desk, which works our perfectly since his school colors are green and gold.
The dispenser was easy to assemble, especially with the instructions provided on the creator's website. No decorations are provided, so you can make it fit any color theme or holiday.
The front piece is movable as it opens and closes to hide the candy. The lid is removable to add more candy. I used Rolos, but any small individual pieces will fit.
Other Materials:
DCWV pattern paper ~ a Christmas stack
kraft and mint green card stock
gold ribbon
Trendy Twine ~ Limeade
Plantin School Book Cricut cart~ tag
Shamrock die -cuts
green ink
My Craft Spot stamp
gold glitter glue
green confetti shamrock

Challenges:
I took pictures in my new photo light box, but I need to keep practicing. I am slightly happy since the shadows are limited. Now I just need to get better with the manual setting on the camera. That is still on "my list" and I am NOT giving up yet.

Off to get a few projects started. I really want to make a shaker card. What is on your list to create?

Stay Creative,
Georgiana
