Thinking of You

Happy Monday! It's President's Day, which means a day off to do all those things that weren't finished over the weekend. I already have a list just thinking about it! Hoping to find time to make another project later today (might go to the movies with hubby). Right now I would like to share a card I made late last night for a few challenges.

Since it was Valentines Day I was in the pink and red mood. The Recollections and Paper Studio papers complimented each other nicely.

I used the following sketch from Stick It Down.

This is my favorite die from My Favorite Things...Scribble Roses. I remember buying these with my daughter during my first trip to their store in Eustis. I am so glad I decided to get them! I added a touch of pink glitter glue to the overlay.

The butterfly was cut with an ArtC die and the MFT banner from Blueprints 13 was stamped with a sentiment by Whimsical Designs.

By My Side...Happy Valentine's Day!

 Happy Saturday!

Thanks for stopping by at Carson's Creations. Hope you are enjoying the start to your weekend, especially if you have a long one like me. So glad to have an extra day off...never have enough time to do everything, so an extra day is good!

I surely enjoy working with the Tim Holtz distress inks (this one is barn door) and I am always impressed with clean and simple cards, so I thought I would try combining the two. What do you think? Does this classify as CAS?
I used My Favorite Things Blueprint 20  for the scalloped mat and stitched rectangle. The dual heart is from my Silhouette library. The stamped sentiment is from a retired set by Whimsical Designs ~ With Love.
Enjoy your day! Hubby and I are going to run errands...might stop to look at some jewelry for Valentines. Hope you have a special day with your loved one!

Be sure to come back tomorrow! The winner from the Cupid Strikes Again Blog Hop will be announced. Will it be you?!?!

Valentine Party with Treats

Happy Friday!

We had our Valentine party at school today and what fun it was. We celebrated with a cookie decorating party. The students had heart shaped sugar cookies, frosting, sprinkles, and candies. Lots of Valentines were traded too.

These are the treats I made for my student. I used pink and white polka paper bags by Recollection and filled them with Valentine candy corn. The students got a kick out the candy. Had no idea they made candy corn for other holidays.

I used the heart and lock file from SVG Cuts, which is part of the 24 Valentines SVG kits. The stamped sentiment is from a retired set by K. Andrews.

The owl plant holder was a gift from one of my students. Isn't it cute?!?!
Hope you have a great weekend and enjoy any Valentine plans you may have.

Cupid Strikes Again Blog Co-Hop

Cupid Strikes Again!!!
Welcome to this co-hop with Die Cuttin’ Diva and Cut It Up. We are so glad that you are joining us today and super excited to share our inspiration with you.

We will have a line-up of DT members from both teams sharing Valentine projects and we are hoping you enjoy them all. Our teams even had to play cupid and send their project to a fellow team member as a surprise. How is that for sharing the love!

How about some prizes?
And a surprise goodie pack by me!

Cupid’s Rules…
1. Make sure you are a follower on each stop along this hop.
2. Leave a comment on each project and you will be entered to win one of the prizes.

Prize winners will be announced on Valentine's Day, February 14th.

"I created my project for Sarah on the Cut It Up team."
First, I have to say...I had fun playing cupid for this hop! Everyone loves surprises and I enjoyed being able to send this off! I made this matching set for my secret blog hop pal since yummy treats seem to be appreciated on Valentine's Day.

I found this heart window treat wrap by Lori Whitlock at Silhouette on-line store.

The Valentine candy corn is enclosed in a 3 x 3 zipped bag that I purchased at our local flea market. The vendor has lots of different bags! 100 bags for $ 1 - $2 depending on size.

A pink organza bow with a tiny tag (and sentiment) by My Craft Spot keep the wrap closed.

The scalloped top box by Lori Whitlock can be found at Silhouette on-line store. It is thin, so little square candies fit perfectly. The heart is from the window wrap and the sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Valentine Treats set.
Other Materials:
Bo Bunny pattern paper ~ Heart Throb Stripe and Heart Attack
pink ribbon
pink gems
Versafine Blank Onyx ink

Your next stop is... Janis

If you get lost along the way, here is the line-up....

Thanks for spreading the love!

This is Huge! Miss Kate Cuttables Daily Post

Hello Everyone!

Today is my day to post at Miss Kate CuttablesBefore I share my daily post, I want to remind you there is a free file that you can download every day. YES! Every day a new and different one. Be sure to get yours today!

Here is my Design Team project...
An adorable elephant that has lots of love! I created the background with Tim Holtz distress inks...chipped sapphire. Then I used a MFT stamp (distressed patterns) to add the splattered dots in mustard seed.

This stamp is from an old set by My Pink Stamper, but it was perfect for this elephant.

Yellow skittles by Carri at DoubleClick.

Inside sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Valentine Treats stamp set.

Hope you are almost ready for Valentine's Day! Miss Kate Cuttables has lots of files to choose from if you need to make more projects to show your love!

This Jar is Filled with Love

Hello Crafty Friends,
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by!  It's Wednesday, which means it's time for the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...
Valentine/Heart

Here is my Design Team project...
I bought this jar stamp at Michaels a few weeks ago and I just finally used it. I really like it, but I wish it had a die to match (would be so much easier). I had to fussy cut it, but I think the edges look okay. The scalloped background is from My Favorite Things ~ Blueprint 20.

I used sparkle red skittles in the lower left corner. The hearts were cut from a Martha Stewart punch.

Although this picture is a little brighter than I would have liked, it captures the specks of glitter on the lid. I used a Wink of Stella brush (silver) to add some sparkle.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the "Valentine/Heart" challenge at DoubleClick Skittles. Go share some love with the other Design Team members!

Thanks again for stopping by!
