Simply Moovelous at Pause Dream Enjoy

Hello Everyone,
The challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy began earlier today. I know I am a little late posting, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share even with everything that has been going on at school. Not ready to share about the changes, but when the time is right I will.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Photo Inspiration ~
I (secretly) want to be a cow farmer. I would like to be able to collect and/or rescue cows and put them in a big pasture so they can graze all day. This cow makes me happy and that is how I want to feel ALL day ~ EVERY day!

Here is my Design Team project...

I added wiggly eyes with big lashes, which make her even cuter. The pattern papers are by American Crafts ~ Hello Spring stack and the stitched line tag-corner rectangle frame is from My Favorite Things.

The stamped sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Pause Dream Enjoy this week for our "Photo Inspiration ~ "Cowchallenge. Be sure to check out how the other design team member's interpreted the photo.

3-2-1: I Turtley Adore You at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Diva Fans!
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ 3- 2 - 1 ~
You must use 3 pattern papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 ribbon or bow.

Here is my Design Team project...
I had two these pattern papers sitting on my craft table and decided to finally use them...I just had to choose a third piece to fit the challenge. I used two skittles from DoubleClick and finally added a twine bow for the third component of the 3-2-1.

I used the following sketch from Sunday Stamps.

I just received the MFT turtle in the mail and had to use it right away. After I stamped it, I realized I should have used my daughter's technique. She heat embosses the stamped image with clear embossing powder. It makes a sharp outline and prevents bleeding. If I have time after school, I may give it another try and replace my image.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "3-2-1challenge.

Cut It Up! Spring Blog Hop

Happy Springy Friday!
Today brings a special blog hop which combines Cut It Up and Die Cuttin' Divas design team members.

Here is my project:
I just love treat bags and boxes. What better way to tell someone you are thinking about them than with a pretty gift (This Jamie Cripps large gift box is from Silhouette Design Store). Give them a flower that will last, along with something they like (maybe candy, nail polish, craft goodies, or a gift card).

I cut the flowers on my Cameo and the tiny tags with my Cuttlebug. The pattern paper is Hello Spring by American Crafts (I found this stack at Tuesday Mornings.).

Ribbon, twine, and gems were in the stash.

Prizes...
I am also offering a prize...a surprise goodie pack of crafting supplies.
Remember to win, you need to be a follower of my blog and leave a comment!
You have until Sunday night, April 15th at 8:00 pm EST to hop along with us! My winner will be announced on Monday, April 16th. The winners will also be posted on Carson's Creation Facebook page after all the winners have been randomly selected.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Anything Goes ~
Those are the BEST! You create anything and share with everyone!

Here is my Design Team project...
A co-worker asked me to make an anniversary card for her son and daughter-in-law. They love all country-rustic decor.  I always think of woodgrain and neutral colors.

The banner includes the happy couple's first initials. I used Krazy for Kraft Trendy Twine.

The stamped sentiment is from MFT ~ Splendid Swans.

The inside sentiment is from JustRite stamps ~ Large Fancy set.

Golfer's Day at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Diva Fans!
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Golfer's Day ~
We did watch some of The Masters this past weekend. We were rooting for Ricki Fowler although we like many of the other players. He had a great game, so maybe next year he will win. Have you ever seen The Golf Boys videos? The first one is Oh Oh Oh and the other is 2.Oh.

Here is my Design Team project...
When I saw this golf bag, I thought it was going to be a cool treat.  While preparing, cutting, and assembling I was not impressed (the instructions were not very clear). It was a bit complicated and the size really is giant. I was at Wal-Mart last night after 9pm buying this huge candy bar, so I could get it all done. I would have preferred a regular size candy bar then I could make a bunch. Now that I am finished, it is pretty neat (but I was not thinking that along the way).

The other side...
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Golfer's Daychallenge.

It's Your Day to Smile or Say Hooray

Hello,

We celebrated my daughter's birthday today. She will be 20 on Monday, but she came home for the weekend since we wouldn't be able to go to dinner or have Betty Cake on her actual day. Before going to Red Robin I started these cards and when we returned I finished them.

My thought was to combine the sketch and color challenge at My Favorite Things. Goal accomplished! I am pretty pleased that the colors and layout worked.

I started with the MFT gray cardstock and coral gingham from the Tiny Check stack, and then added the white and blue cardstock.

The colors for MFT Challenge 90.

I used the Happy Hippo stamp set along with Spectrum Noir markers.

Rather than adding the extra papers to the scrap pile, I just made a second one. I used the MFT Scribble Rose and Double the Smile die sets.

All the pieces were cut with my Cuttlebug. I have thought about getting a Big Kick/Big Shot, but with my machine cutting just fine I have decided to wait.

Other Challenges:

Excited that I was able to complete these two.

Georgiana

Birthdays are a BIG Deal

Hello Everyone,
Half the week is over and we are getting closer to the weekend again. I don't really like to rush time by as I get older, but I sure do look forward to time off to play in the craft room. It is typically too difficult during the week with school, but I did make time to create this card (and boy was it fun!).

The challenge at Craftaholics R Us begins today.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Birthday Cards ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I ALWAYS need birthday cards and never have enough, especially this time of year.

For this card I started with cutting the three layers...the scallop and stitched rectangle are by My Favorite Things ~ Blueprints 20 (one of my personal favorites).  Then I cut WISH with my Cuttlebug and placed it to the side so I could create my background. I used the Large Polka Dot stencil, Marble background, and Distressed Patterns stamp set along with Ranger picked raspberry and worn lipstick oxide inks. I splattered a few distressed spots in a couple shades of purple.

Next...I stamped, colored, and die cut the MFT elephant and attached the purple Melissa Frances ribbon. Lastly, I added the MFT Happy Hippos stamped sentiment and adhered a few purple sequins using a glue pen.
Other Challenges:
Always Fun Challenges ~ Happy Birthday
Jo's Scrap Shack ~ Anything Goes

Hope you will join us at Craftaholics R Us this week for our "Birthday Cardschallenge. Be sure to check out the other craftaholics.

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ April's Sketch ~

Here is my Design Team project...
My daughter's birthday is next Monday and we bought her two three day Disney Park Hopper passes, so she can experience the new Avatar Land and see the night shows. She is going to take her boyfriend as her guest.

I cut the Mickey head balloon on my Cameo. The papers are from The Stamps of Life, the supersized stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom, and the Wonky Oval is by My Favorite Things.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "April's Sketchchallenge.

MFT Sketch ~ Owl Smile

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend. My hubby and I went to lunch and a movie (Ready Player One) yesterday, but I was able to create a couple cards too. I worked on a some challenges...this card that I am sharing today and a DT card for tomorrow.

I used this week's My Favorite Things sketch.

I used the Owl My Love stamps and die set from My Favorite Things.

My daughter loves to color and I am a bit jealous that she is so good. I decided to give the Spectrum Noir (and a brown Chameleon) markers another try.
Other Materials:
MFT stitched rectangle
MFT square frame
MFT Plaid Patterns Merry and Bright paper
MFT sour apple cardstock
MFT cloud stencil
Tim Holtz Tumble Glass Distress Ink
MFT fishtail sentence strip
blue enamel dots
white cardstock
Black Onyx Versafine ink

Hoping you have a wonderful week.

Happy Easter

Happy Sunday and no April Fool's joke here!

It is quiet here at Carson's Creations since the kids are grown and gone (Kels will be home next weekend from college for her birthday). There are no hidden Easter eggs or baskets filled with goodies, but I do have a couple Easter cards I made for a co-worker.  She asked for two cards...one for her granddaughter and one for her grandson. She wanted both of them to be personalized (just like the Paw Patrol dalmatian from the other day).

Here is today's Easter project...

First, I layered the background papers (pink gingham is by The Paper Studio ~  Ice Cream Parlor stack). Then I assembled the simple but cute bunny. Since this was for a little girl, I added a twine bow near the bunnies' ear.

The bunny is by Lori Whitlock and it is part of a gift bag set. That is one reason why I like to use my Cameo more than my Cricut...I can manipulate the svg files to fit my needs. I popped the bunny up on foam squares to add dimension (and I didn't want the bunny to blend in with the background).

Here is the card personalized. I sure hope it goes in the baby's memory book after the holiday.

This is the second card. I am a bit bummed since I forgot to take a picture after personalizing it.

I used MFT dies for the stitched rectangles and scalloped oval, cut the chocolate bunny on my Cameo, added a blue Trendy Twine bow, and lastly stamped the Jaded Blossom sentiment on a fishtail sentiment strip.

Quote for the day...
