Just Married at Die Cuttin' Diva

Hello Diva Fans,

Thanks for stopping by today (and every other day!)

It is a terrific Tuesday since it is the Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This Week's Challenge...
Wedding or Anniversary

Here is my Design Team project...
I typically stay away from wedding cards because I am not the overly mushy type of person. I enjoy seeing what others make (and usually get a bit envious), but I don't have much of a romantic bone in my body.

I used the following sketch from Mojo Monday.

This is the first time I cut the license plate from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. Easy to cut and looks great! I used foam squares to add dimension and then I cut the flower from the Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge.

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Wedding/Anniversary" challenge. The other design team members have done a fantastic job with their creations, so be sure to check them out!

Hope you will join the challenge this week!

July Sketch for Die Cuttin' Divas ~ Nautical Theme

Hello Diva Fans,
Thanks for stopping by today (and every other day!)

It is a terrific Tuesday since it is the Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This Week's Challenge...
A Sketch
(The first Tuesday of every month is a different sketch.)

Here is my Design Team project...
Actually, I created two cards using this one sketch. I just rotated one so they didn't look exactly the same. I did use the same Cape Cod paper stack by Paper Studio, but chose different sheets and my die-cut is the same nautical theme.

Give the sketch a try!
Any theme you want! Any colors you like!

This first card features the Nautical Boy Monkey from KaDoodle Bug Designs.

The second card has nautical pieces from Miss Kate Cuttables.
Other Materials:
red, blue, white, brown, and yellow card stock
blue pearls
blue ink
red gems
Planitn Schoolbook Cricut cartridge ~ font cut at 3/4"

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Sketch" challenge. The other design team members have done a fantastic job with their creations, so be sure to check them out!

My Country 'Tis of Thee at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Tuesday...it is Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This Week's Challenge...
'Tis Thee Country
I live in the United States and our country's colors are red, white, and blue. We celebrate Independence Day July 4th of every year.

Here is my Design Team project...
I decided to make a tag for a candy jar and this firework was just "popping" with excitement to be on display.

This cute firework can be found at Miss Kate Cuttables. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the file. The stars I cut with the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge at 1" - 1/4". The sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Diva stamps ~ Celebrate Freedom.
Red, white, and blue crinkle ribbon, red and white twines, and  a few star buttons finish off the 4" tag.
Other Materials:
red, white, blue, and black card stock
pattern paper is from scrap pile
black ink

Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "'Tis Thee Country" challenge. The other design team  members have done a fabulous job with their creations, so be sure to check them out.

Things with Wings at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Thanks for stopping by!
Today is a terrific day since it is a Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This Week's Challenge...
Things with Wings
That could be birds, bugs, fairies, angels, or even airplanes.  What will you create?

My Design Team project...
I cut and assembled this patriotic owl (by KaDoodle Bug Designs) first and then decided that a scalloped circular card would match the eyes perfectly. The red, white, and blue pearls alternate around the edge.

This stamp is part of the Punny set at Craftin' Desert Divas.
Other Materials:
Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge ~ card base (p. 38) cut at 4 1/4"
blue ink
Bo Bunny striped paper
brown, white, red, blue, and yellow card stock
fireworks ribbon

Black Plus One at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Tuesday...it is Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This week's challenge...
Black Plus One Other

Here is my Design Team project...
Being in a stylish mood I decided to go with a fashionista theme this week. Not that I could ever wear heels this high ( I think I am tall enough and probably would twist my ankle), but I could carry that adorable little purse.

I used the following sketch for both cards, but I did rotate one.

My daughter loved these shoes, but said the bottom should have been red. I told her that would not count for the challenge. I thought the silver was closer to the challenge. This svg file is by Designs on Cloud 9. The stamp is from K. Andrews (unfortunately it is no longer available).

This purse was cut from the Forever Young Cricut cart ( p. 56 at 2 1/4") and the same stamp set was used.
Other Materials:
Recollections paper
black, silver, and white card stock
black ink
white and silver sequins

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Black Plus One" challenge. The other design team  members have done a fabulous job with their creations, so be sure to check them out.

June Sketch at Die Cuttin' Divas

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Tuesday.

The Challenge...
The Monthly Sketch

Here is my Design Team project...
This week our county will be holding graduation for Seniors; therefore, I have been thinking quite a bit about my former students and how many have made it to this important life event. Over the years I have worked with many challenging students and hearing the success stories this week makes it all worth the time and effort.

Use this sketch for any occasion. You can even rotate the layout.

This graduation owl is a freebie at KaDoodle Bug Designs. The stamp is from the Simply Said stamp set at Craftin' Desert Divas.

All the edges were distressed with the Tim Holtz distressing tool.
Congratulations to ALL the Seniors!

Other Materials:
Fancy Pants paper ~ Off to School stack
red, yellow, brown, black, and white card stock
red gems
black and brown inks

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Sketch" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...lots of variety using this one sketch.

For the Boys at Die Cuttin' Diva

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Tuesday.

This Week's Challenge...
For the Boys

Here is my Design Team project...
I have recently become crazy about pirates  (thanks to Captain Hook on Once Upon a Time ~ ooo la la!), so this ship was perfect for any little man.

I found this ship at the Silhouette On-line Store and the file was created by Stinkin' Cute Paper Piecings. The card base is from the Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge...lots of others shapes that are fun. I use the sign feature on the bottom of the page (cut the base at 4 1/2" and each layer 1/4" smaller). This particular shape can be found on page 40, but I also like p. 21,  p. 35 and p. 51.

I added Glossy Accents to the red flags and HB to the lookout basket. Can you hear "Ahoy Matey!"...that means a Happy Birthday to you!
Other Materials:
black, brown, red, silver and white card stock
black and white polka dot paper
polka dot ribbon

Other Challenges:
Allsorts ~ Birthday
Hiding in My Craft Room ~ Boys
My Sheri Crafts ~ Masculine

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "For the Boys" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...we are treating our boys spectacularly this week!

A Birthday Monkey at Die Cuttin' Diva

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Tuesday.

This Week's Challenge...
Birthday

Here is my Design Team project...
My husband's best friend from high school has a son who just turned one this past weekend and they are having a BIG party this upcoming weekend to celebrate. I made a card to match the birthday invitation.

The monkey is from Miss Kate Cuttables. Be sure to check out the site each and every day for the freebie. This monkey was one.

This stamp is from Cardz TV...Make a Wish stamp set. I am so glad I found it in my collection. I used a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner.

This is a 5" X 5" square card base.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Birthday" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...the variety of ways to celebrate a birthday is endless!

My Hero Wobbles to the Rescue

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Tuesday.

This Week's Challenge...
Action Wobble/Add Dimension

Here is my Design Team project...
My daughter has been studying for her AP World History exam almost none stop for two weeks and she hasn't given up. She seems to be flying through everyday, so she can pass this course to get her college credit. This Super girl reminds me of my daughter!

She looks so happy flying over the city looking for villains. In my daughter's case...she is searching for all the correct answers.

I used a white gel pen to add faux stitching around the outline of her hair and a smudge of pink glitter glue on her bow.

The Supergirl is adhered to an action wobble to add dimension and movement.

I got a kick out of the action picture of this Supergirl, although no one else in my family appreciated her wobbling to the rescue. She really does move!
Other Materials:
Heidi Grace paper ~ Daisy Dear
yellow, pink, brown, tan, red, and black card stock
Superhero Girls file ~ Too Cute by Jessica
3 pink buttons
yellow and white twine by American Craft
My Hero stamp by Jaded Blossom
black ink

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Action Wobble/ Add Dimension" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...lots of inspiration!

It's Been a Long Time ~ Stop by Die Cuttin' Divas

Oh My!
I forgot to set my Die Cuttin' Diva's post to go live this morning. I am so glad I realized it before the day was over.

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Tuesday.

This Week's Challenge...
A Sketch

Here is my Design Team project...
I sure do like to play with words and find new meanings. I thought this dragon was super cute and since they haven't been around in a very long time...it has been a "long time no see". The sentiment can even be used for reconnecting with an old friend.
I create the sketches for our monthly challenge. I use the Paint program, which is quite simple. Not a lot of options, but the sketches can be left to the designer's interpretation.

The dragon was purchased at Silhouette On-line Store, but it is also available at Miss Kate Cuttables. I cut it on my Cameo and it was easy to assemble the pieces. All the edges were inked in blue.
Other Materials:
ivory, blue, orange, and green card stock
pattern papers from scrap box
Meadow green skittles by Carri
blue ink

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Sketch" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...they have used the sketch in a variety of ways for different occasions.

Make It Girly at Die Cuttin' Divas

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another  Tuesday at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
Make It Girly

Here is my Design Team project...
My daughter loves to paint her nails. I think she has every color of nail polish.
This file is from My Scrap Chick. It is only $1.00 for a pack of three. The difference is the size of the lids (small, medium, or large).
I decorated the removable lids with ribbon, flowers, gems, and a mini tag.

A nail polish will fit inside each container if you want to give them as gifts.
Other Materials:
12 X 12 card stock
Lovebug Rumple ribbon ~ Winter Grunge
pink pearls
My Craft Spot stamp
purple or dusk blue ink

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Girly" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...they are quite girly.
