Throwback Thursday Challenge ~ 58

This week's challenge at My Creative Time with Emma is to create ANYTHING using a "BABY" theme. I do not own the New Arrival cartridge, but I did find appropriate images on the Potpourri cartridge. I created a Baby Shower card.

Fourth of July Challenge

Here is the card I created for the Fourth of July challenge using the Cricut Independence Day cartridge. I went with a country color theme for this first card rather than the typical red, white, and blue. The center banner was cut at 3" and the stars were cut at 1 1/2' (from the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge).

Christmas in July Challenge # 1

Cardz TV with Mary posted a challenge on July 1st: Christmas in July. Crafters need to make a Christmas card using pink, green, red, white, and black only and post it by July 7th. The winner will be announced next Thursday and that person will win a Cricut "Snow Friends" cartridge.

Immediately I thought of a cartridge that I do not see many projects for, but it has the cutest images...Paper Pups. The design was easy and this was a fun card to create. Now I am ready to create the next card which will have the July 4th theme. There are two challenges that are currently accepting entries. One at Cricut Cardz and the other is Paper Cutz. Time to get busy!

New Layouts

  

Since I woke up extremely early this morning and couldn't go back to sleep, I decided to work on two layouts that I have been putting off for a year. I am pleased with how they turned out. The top page is a celebration and the bottom picture is a memory page.

My Cricut Cartridges

I added a list of all the Cricut cartridges that I own so far. I would like to purchase From My Kitchen next. Curious to know...what is your favorite cartridge and what do you recommend?

Creative Critters Cricut Club Ribbon Storage

As I was browsing thru my usual sites, I came across a request for how crafters store their ribbon. Since I do not have a lot of space to papercraft (until the children get older), I am limited on the amount of room I have to store my goodies. I am quite content with my current system just because my husband helped me create it. I found an extra plastic storage box in the kid's craft closet and I actually had a dowel rod in my closet that I bought years ago for a school project but never used. My husband used the drill to create the holes and I loaded the ribbon on.

My Pink Stamper Challenge

As I do everyday since it is summer vacation, I go to my favorite sites and blogs to see what new creations have been posted. My Pink Stamper posted a challenge, so I decided to give it a try. The challenge was to create anything, but you could only use four colors: pink, green, orange, and brown. I looked at the pictures that were posted already and they were cute. I decided to create a card that had a different theme...school. I realize school was just released for summer break about 2 1/2 weeks ago, but you never can stop thinking about what else you can do. I created a "Back to School" card that I am going to use for my students.

The card base was cut from Celebrations at 9" and the dotted sheet was cut at 5 1/2" using the square tag on p. 122. The center piece was cut from Locker Talk at 3". I used foam dots to apply the apple for a 3-D effect.
