A Sweet Spring Dress at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for this terrific Tuesday at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
Tic Tac Toe Grid

Here is my Design Team project...
I used the far right vertical line...shaped card, 3 pattern papers, and ribbon or twine.

I found this sweet looking dress at the Silhouette On-Line store. I bought the file a couple weeks ago when it was 50% off. The weather is perfect now for wearing this style.

I used soft colors from Martha Stewart (green, yellow, and pink), embellished with pink and green pearls, and then added a double twine bow to the clothes hanger.

The inside is layered with yellow polka dot paper and white card stock.

Here is the grid so you can join us at Die Cuttin Divas this week...

Pastel Colors at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva challenge.

This week's challenge...Pastel Colors
The colors of this family are usually described as "soothing", "soft", "near neutral", "milky", "washed out", "desaturated", lacking strong chromatic content. No matter how you describe the colors I love how they look. The colors blend together so well and can be used for any theme, especially Easter since it is approaching quickly.

Here is my DT project...
A feminine birthday card for anyone ready to have a party.
Sorry the picture isn't brighter. I was trying to be quick and used the old camera without the lightbox. I can see a difference in the quality of my pictures now!  Maybe I did learn something from my photography class! Lesson learned! Next time, make time to take better pictures.

Daffodil crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM with a pink brad wrapped around the center of the bow. Be sure to check out the special this month! Let Julie know I sent you over! :)

This party hat was cut from an oldie, but goodie...Celebration Cricut cartridge. The die-cuts are simple, so you can choose just the right color paper and add embellishments to fancy them up.
Other Materials:
My Mind's Eye papers
yellow card stock
Spun Sugar distressing ink by Tim Holtz
pink pearls
Happy Birthday stamp
black ink

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our Pastel Colors challenge.

Whimsical Pastels

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another Whimsical Wednesday.
Here is a photo to help inspire you to create a project using pastels for this week's challenge.

Here is my Design Team project...
Treats for someone...oh...So Super Sweet!
It is easiest for me to work in an assembly line mode. Prepare all the cuts, fill the bags, create the stamped tags, and then piece it all together.
Lime, Blue Raspberry, Orange, Cherry, Grape, and Lemon flavored jelly beans. What is your favorite flavor? Mine...I like them ALL!
I recently starting stamping my dies to match the colors I needed. There are so many options with Spellbinders and you get a different look every time. All my tags match the bows.

Materials:
K&Company pattern papers
pale yellow and white card stock
Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge ~ Oblong Swirl2 (p. 39)
Give a Hoot Cricut cartridge ~ bunny (p. 72) cut at 1 3/4"
Spellbinder ~ Beaded Ovals
pastel ribbons

various ink colors

Happy Easter at Exploring Cricut

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy Monday!
Are you ready to begin the week with a new challenge? If you said "yes", then head over to Exploring Cricut. The theme is perfect...Easter! When I think of Easter...bunnies, chicks, and decorated eggs come to mind. How about you? When my kids were younger we would hid plastic eggs filled with money and/or candy throughout the house, and the Easter Bunny would always leave a fabulous basket filled with goodies.

Here is my Exploring Cricut card...
Loving the pastel colors of Spring and Easter.
I used the layout from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
The edges of the pink paper are distressed. I used the Tim Holtz tool.
Here are Carri's skittles! Be sure to check out all the new colors. She even has pastels! They are one of my favorites.
This stamp is from Docerela's Creations.
Materials:
K&Company paper
brown, yellow, and green cardstock
Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge ~ scalloped square (p.48)
Nate's ABCs Cricut cartridge~ rabbit (p. 34) cut at 2 1/4"
diamond embossing folder
wiggly eye
peeled paint ink by Tim Holtz
pink skittles from Carri at Abusybee

 Other Challenges:

Hoping you will join us this week at Exploring Cricut and share your Easter project. Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Die Cuttin' Diva challenge and again on Wednesday for Whimsical Designs.

Handmade Embellishments at Little Scrap Pieces

Hello Crafty Friends,

Spring Break began today at 3:30! Yippee!
Although I do not have plans to travel anywhere, I am just excited to have the time off. So much to do and I know the time is going to fly by, so I am going to start enjoying now!

There is a new challenge today at Little Scrap Pieces.

The Challenge...Handmade Embellishments
There are so many options! I like to make flowers and stick pins.
What is your favorite embellishment to create?
I created my flower with a variety of layers and the center flower has small beads. I also added skittles created by Carri at Abusybee.

The second card I made used a skittle for the center of the flower. Aren't these colors perfect for Spring (and Spring Break!)!
The papers came from DCWV ~ The Carnival stack.

Hope you will join us at Little Scrap Pieces this week for our Handmade Embellishment challenge. Can't wait to see your project and your embellishment.

Pastels and Daughter's Birthday

Happy Diva Tuesday!

Today brings another challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas and what better way to celebrate than with a new project.

Our challenge this week is...
Use Pastels

Here is my project...
I thought this mouse from Live Simply was adorable. He reminds me of a little critter scurrying thru the night exploring everything possible. He just happens to find a dainty flower.

Materials:
K&Company paper
black and white cardstock
Live Simply cartridge ~ mouse cut at 3" and Explore cut at 3/4"
crinkle ribbon from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces
purple brads
purple gem
beaded stick pin (created by me)

This Week's Sponsor...
My Creative Time
Thanks Emma!

I also have to share my daughter's birthday card I made and her birthday cake. I must warn you ahead of time she LOVES the color orange. It may be just a phase, but...

I added her name to the tag.

One of her favorite golfers is Ricki Fowler and the other is Bubba Watson. Ricki wears orange quite often, so that is how she decided orange is her favorite. : )

Looking forward to seeing all those great projects this week. So many possibilities and so little time!

Stay Creative,
Georgiana
