Spooktacular Halloween Blog Hop, Day 2

Here's what I have created for this hop...
Treat bags for my students. These are for the girls. I have plans to make a few more for the boys, but they will receive a monster. The toppers are simple since 10 year olds are all about the candy!
Paper was selected to match candy corn. A purple button was added to coordinate with the stripes.
 The drippy goo gently oozes over the edge.

Let's Do the Monster Hop

And the Halloween Hop Winner is...

Thank you once again for all the kind comments. I hope you enjoyed the projects and will continue to come back regularly. I have attempted to visit some of your sites and will continue throughout the week. I would love to be able to make a comment on everyone's page and become a follower too.

Oh yeah, my kids loved the candy. They were truly surprised. My son actually asked twice if it was for him and if he could really eat the sweets. He was just too funny!

Halloween Blog Hop ~ Day 3

Welcome back for the final day of the Halloween Hop.
I am extremely pleased that you have returned for another day. I have been excited to read the comments and eager to make something appealing to all who visit.

I planned on creating some yummy treats to share with my children. I think they get a little jealous sometimes since I make all these neat treats for my students, so this scary sweet is going to be for them...no tricks either!
Supplies...Today Joann's had a special on the Wilton candy melts...$1.49 per bag. I purchased 4 bags. Michaels had the candy molds on sale for buy one get one 50% off.
These are the new molds I thought I had to buy (my 16 year son searched for the old Halloween ones and said he couldn't find them).  I was a bit concerned with the skulls, but they are actually pretty cool. There are two separate pieces and you attach them with melted chocolate. Once the chocolate dries they stick together perfectly. (Excessive candy can be trimmed. I did not trim mine since I figured my kids can eat it rather than discarding.) The tombstone is fun too! It is two pieces and the top one sits in the base.
Just a few more pieces. Remember I said my son looked for my candy molds? Well, when I got home I found them right where I told him to look! I had  3 different pumpkin molds and a haunted house (not pictured). I decided to keep the new molds and I am glad I did! Those tombstones are my favorite. I am going to make more and add different colors.
 Here is another project I wanted to try.

These were Halloween colored scraps I found in my paper box.
I ran all of the pieces thru our paper shredder to make confetti for a gift box.
I used Martha Stewart Drippy Goo edge punch to create toppers.
The bakery size treat bags are just right and they fit inside the box. 
The Chinese take-out style box will be a surprise.

Thank you for visitng throughout this weekend. I have enjoyed creating these projects and it was thrilling to see the other projects too. It never ceases to amaze me that there are so many talented people. Here is another goodie that I will be adding for the winner that will be announced on Monday morning. Halloween Blog Hop ~ Day 2

Welcome Back!
I am so glad you returned for another day of ghostly, but delightful projects. Yesterday was eerily fantastic since there were so many creative ideas and only one theme...Halloween. That is what I love about the arts! You never know what you will get,  you become mesmerized, and you always want to go back for more.

Here is my project for today...
Candy Containers

These message bottles were purchased at Michaels. They were regularly priced at $3.99, but I used a 50% off coupon. My daughter found them in the kid's craft department.
The bottom detaches so you can fill each plastic container with a special treat. The piece of cork did not even need to be removed from the top.
I used self-adhesive ribbon to seal the two pieces together. The final piece was the pumpkin from the Doodlecharm cartridge which was attached with a piece of orange or black ribbon. I used an edge punch (see below) to make the slits to weave the ribbon through.
My daughter wants to give these "Sweet Treats" to her teachers. I am hoping they enjoy!

I have 2 more goodies for a lucky winner (which will be announced on Monday, October 4th). I wanted to add some cool Autumn colors to the treat bag.

Halloween Blog Hop ~ Day 1

Welcome to three days of exciting Halloween projects during this spooktacular weekend hop. Some are fun and others may be spooky. We hope you enjoy every crafter's site and find a project that you may be able to use this season.

You should have arrived by Jen at The  Purple Scrapbooker. If not I am glad you are here, but be sure to visit her too. We do not want you to miss any cards, projects, or layouts.

My first project is...
Trick Or Treat Goodie Bags
I cut out 17 bags at 5 1/2" from Plantin Schoolbook (page 80). I used various Halloween colors.
This is what the bag looks like once it is assembled.
Then I cut out various shapes from Mini Monsters, October 31st, Doodlecharms, and Potpourri Basket at 2 1/2" using all the scrap pieces from the 12 X 12 sheets I used to make the treat bags. The colors all coordinated and now I have no waste.

These are the tags I made for each treat bag. I used 2 different stamps and 4 different ink colors. I used left over pieces of Halloween scraps from previous cards I have made to border the cardstock. I attached each tag with black and orange ribbon.

These are goodies that I picked up last year after Halloween for 75% off.  I am going to add some yummy individually wrapped candy once it gets closer to October 31st.  I think the students will love them!
