Fantabulous Guest Spotlight and New Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends (and Cricut Users),
 
Today I am a Guest Designer at Fantabulous Cricut. What a great honor to be asked to share your creativity with others. Yesterday I was featured in the Sunday Spotlight, today I get to share the new challenge, and next week I will be in a final inspirational Cricut post.
 
This week's challenge....
3 Pattern Papers
That is SUPER easy for me! I love to layer paper!
I made a set of personalized baby cards for a co-worker.
This first card is for a new baby boy and I used 3 Birds on Parade for the darling little chick.
I added Aqua Splash crinkle ribbon by 3 Girl JAM, a handmade stick pin that I created, yellow skittles by Carri, and his name. 
 


I typed his name on my computer at 12 font (Lucinda Calligraphy) and used a 1 inch circle punch so it would be centered.
 
This second personalized card is for the big brother.
Other Materials:
SEI paper ~ Chick-a-doo assortment pack
teal and white card stock
Lacey Circle Spellbinders
teal gems
wiggly eyes

Thanks Pilgrim Bird

Hello Crafty Friends,
 
It is going to be a super Saturday. Just a few plans like grade papers, make some cards, and maybe do a little shopping. It is Saturday, so who could ask for more! I may even start making my holiday treat bags since I bought some M&Ms yesterday at CVS while they were on sale and I had a coupon to make the deal even better. Wohoo!
 
Last night I worked on a card for the neighbor. He is a high school Senior who brings my daughter to school in the morning. I plan on getting him a gift card for Thanksgiving. After last night though I may need to get him even more. Why? The Fed Ex man delivered my husband's package (a brand new ipad mini) to his house. Not sure why since we don't have the same house address or last name. We are just happy he is a good kid and returned the package! My husband said it probably helped that he is his HS principal too! : )

Thanksgiving Challenge at Die Cuttin' Diva

Happy Diva Tuesday!

Today brings another challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas and what better way to celebrate than with a new project.

Here is my Design Team project...

The sketch I used is from 2 Sisters Challenge.

Here is a poem I found to share.
(Guess where we are going on Thanksgiving?)...
 
At Grandma's House
I like the taste of turkey
Any time throughout the year
But it never
seems to taste as good
As when Thanksgiving's here.

Could be it's all the trimmings
That are cooked with it to eat-
But I think it's
eating at Grandma's house
That makes it such a treat!

Ahoy Matey

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Today I have another fun birthday card for a little man. He loves pirates and is going to be 6 years old. What a great age, and boy... can the imagination run wild. Can you imagine wearing a patch while running around bellowing "AAARGH!" Maybe then, but not now.

Be sure to count the gold gems in the treasure chest. There is one for each year.

Thank You, My Student

Hi again! 

It has been a busy, but productive day. This morning I did a little hopping (saw some cute banners for a pediatric unit), finished this card, and then went to the crafty stores to get a new i-rock since mine didn't work any more. The only reason I bought another one...I received some gems and stencils for Christmas that I wanted to use. If it breaks or burns out again, I don't think I will replace it.

 I made this card for a student who gave me a beautiful picture frame yesterday as a late Christmas present.

Here is my project for today:
I created 5 holiday cards using 3 Birds on Parade. I just received this cartridge within the last 2 weeks and this was the first time I used it. These are the cutest cuts and they are super easy to piece together.
  Gifts Bird p.45 with present buttons

 Snowball Bird p. 62 with snowflake buttons
 Santa Bird p.43 with Joy button
Lights Bird p. 44

I used Bo Bunny ~ Tis the Season paper, solid card stock, various buttons, Cuttlebug embossing folders, scalloped edge punch, and white craft thread.  

 Since this is a Christmas hop, I have a gift for one lucky person. It is a Cuttlebug embossing folder ~ Moroccan print. Please leave a comment each day for a greater chance of winning.
