Getting Patriotic at Whimsical Designs

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another Whimsical Wednesday.

Today we have a new challenge, so you need to start thinking about using the colors red, white, and blue! What is your first thought when you hear those colors? Me...Our U.S. flag, strawberries and blueberries, my school colors, and Independence Day freedom!

This week's challenge...
Getting Patriotic

Here is my Design Team project...
Showing a little love for the U.S.A.
Tip of the Day...Combine textures to create a layered effect. Use papers, doilies, burlap, satins, and other fabrics for a tactile experience. Recipients love the look and feel of combining the different materials.
Materials:
papers from scrap box
scalloped doily
red and blue star buttons
Independence Day Cricut cart ~ round banner cut at 2"
blue polka dot ribbon
Whimsical Design stamp ~ Whimsical Fun Vol. 1
blue ink

Other Challenges:

This Week's Sponsor...
~ Eureka Stamps ~
5 digis of winner's choice

Hope you will join us this week at Whimsical Designs for the "Getting Patriotic" challenge. I am looking forward to seeing your projects.

Stay Creative,
