1776

If you are looking for my One Year Blogoversary Giveaway, please click here.

Happy 4th of July to my American crafty friends and "Hello" to all my other crafty friends. I found a little time today to create a card before having to make some homemade potato salad. I know tonight we will be up late listening to all the neighbor's firecrackers. They actually started last night and they will last for a few days until they run out. Of course, if I can't sleep that gives me more crafting time. ;)
I tried a new corner punch that I thought was pretty neat and very patriotic.
I used the Independence Day cartridge to cut the hat at 3". The stars are from the strip on the hat.  1776 was cut at 1/2". The decorative paper is Americana by K&Company and the card base is kraft paper along with the hat.
I used foam squares to adhere the top layer, so you could see the punch better.
This photo was enhanced to brighten up the colors.

  1. Very nice; I like that hat. Haven't seen the Independence Day cart in stores; you're lucky to have it. It seems to have some good cuts on it. I bought that punch too at Joann's on clearance! Can't beat it with 3 different punches on it! Happy 4th! (back to work for me tomorrow after the nice 3-day weekend)--Pat
