FCAT Postcards for My Students

FCAT is officially over!
I had one student that had to do make-ups today after being out for 3 days and we finally finished this afternoon.
YEAH!

I decided to make the students postcards to let them know they did a great job using their strategies and showing what they learned this school year. I gave it to them before they left today.

Since the test is called FCAT, I cut out cats at 3 1/2" from the Animal Kingdom cartridge for the front image. I used a variety of scraps for the layering and the base was cut using "Just Because" Cards at 6 1/4".
The gray FCAT letters were cut at 3/4" from Plantin Schoolbook.
I looked for a stamp that said "You Did It!", but I couldn't find one. I found this famous quote on a wooden stamp instead. I sure do like it!
We only have about 6 more weeks of school and I know I will need to create end-of-the year cards for each students. This has been a great group of kids, so I know I need to come up with something special for them. : )

The 500 Follower Appreciation Giveaway will be posted this weekend. Be sure to come back for your chance to win.

Take Care,
Georgiana

  2. You are so super sweet to your students. If you take this much time to do the little extras I can just imagine the great lessons you put together!

  3. Such a great bit of encouragement! I may have to do something similar for my students who will be taking the NJASK in early May. We still have over two months of school left though so I'll def be able to think of an end of the year treat.
