Instead of Off the Wall, How About...Just Off!

Have you ever made a project and you just thought you could have done better? Well...this is mine. I am still wondering why did I even post? I like the fold of this card, so I know that is not the problem. I have layered all my papers and used embellishments which are all my favorites.

Off the Wall Craftiness #34 selected these colors, so I thought why not try. The colors look fine together, so that is not the issue. The angels on the outside flap are precious, but it may be the snowflakes on the inside. They just do not make me feel like it is almost winter. It is 80 degrees here in Florida and the students are still wearing shorts.
Plus, the Studio18 stamp from Mary Engelbreit is terrible. I like what the stamp says "Let it Snow!", but it just doesn't print nicely. I definitely need guidance on using and choosing stamps (or ink pads). Any suggestions, please share!

I just realized why I posted...I had to reflect! (That goes back to being a teacher.) I needed to see the card and write about it to be able to think it all thru. Now I am glad I did.

I am going to find another challenge and redeem myself.  There are so many other cards that I can make and I definitely have time with a long holiday weekend...and the husband is out with the boys for a few hours.  : )

Hoping you keep in touch,

  1. Reflection is the key to success! Don't be too hard on yourself, I think your card is wonderful and I am sure whoever receives it will think so too!

  2. i also think it is a beautiful card, can't see the stamp image to give advice there. i always practice stamp first just to make sure i have the feel right.

  3. Georgiana, I don't know what you are worried about.... It looks great! But I can relate to every thing you said. I have gone back and deleted a post or just made something again really quick to put ahead of the one I wasn't happy with:)LOL

  4. WOW!!! You are just amazing! I love it, TFS! Beautiful job on the detail - just beautiful!!!!!

  5. oh, quit obsessing!! ;) I think it looks great. All of your projects do!

  6. I have that same "let it snow" stamp and have the same problems with it. It never comes out clear! I love the fold of this card and the angels are adorable.
