Cupcake Treats for the Holiday Season

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I went to lunch with a couple friends today and then met the family at the mall to pick up some wallflowers at White Barn. WOW! It sure is busy on the roads and at the stores. I am so glad to be home now. I have a few projects I need to finish and a couple more that I want to start. Nice, quiet time in the craft room is the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

Today's project...
I have been collecting the free cupcakes from the 12 Days of Christmas at SVG Cutting Files. I have finished two and have two more half way done.

I am loving the nerdy Christmas reindeer since we have matching glasses. The wrapper is red foil paper (looks great in person, but leaves a glare in the photo).

The Santa suit cupcake is my favorite so far. I used Wink of Stella on the white portion of the hat although it is difficult to see. The yellow ribbon matched the buckle perfectly.

I used a clear box with decorative shred, which can be filled with any type of individually wrapped holiday candy.
 Other Materials:
red, black, brown, yellow, and white cardstock
Trendy Twine and red craft thread
red ribbbon by Celebrate It
My Craft Spot  ~ Tiny Tags
My Craft Spot ~ Mistletoe stamp set
Versafine ink ~ Black Onyx

Challenges:
Cut It Up ~ Christmas Song (Here Comes Santa Claus)

Enjoy the holiday season and be safe if you received snow. Looks so pretty, but way too cold for me! I will have to stick to my sunny, Florida weather.

Happy Birthday Baby Deer

Hello Everyone,

Hard to believe it is December...this year has quickly passed by and before you know it 2018 will be here. I started to clean my craft room yesterday since I knew my daughter was coming home from college for Winter Break. As I was organizing, it made me think about how much I love my crafty area. I laid out a bunch of projects on a side table that I plan on working on for/with my students next week and I hope they appreciate the arts just as much. I will be sharing photos of all the projects we make this year within the next two weeks!

Here is my Design Team project...
Today is my day to share at Miss Kate Cuttables. I created this birthday card for a friend's grandson. She asked me to personalize it (which she always does) and said the little boy's daddy loves camouflage. I just had to add a balloon since I figured all kids love them, especially when it says how old they are going to be.

I used the Baby Deer file from Miss Kate Cuttables and it was super easy to cut on my Cameo.
Other Materials:
brown, green, and white cardstock
MFT dies (Blueprint 20)
Trendy Twine

Do you know anyone with a birthday this month? My sister and two nieces have birthdays in December. I always feel bad for them. Their special days tend to blend in with Christmas.

Be sure to stop by Miss Kate Cuttables for your freebie...one every day.

Reindeer Crossing

Happy Friday!

This week sure has flown by, but it has been a fabulous Fall Break. We went Black Friday shopping this morning and found LOTS of great deals. We went to Old Navy, JCPenney, Home Depot, Lowe's, Dillards, Michaels, and Bed, Bath & Beyond. I need to go through all the stuff  and see what is left on the list. Hopefully not too much more!

I have also enjoyed spending time visiting my crafty friend's blogs and seeing what they have been making (it's been way too long). Theresa, Sukie, Migdalia, Lee-Ann, Beth, Janis, and Lisa...you ALWAYS have such creative projects to share!

I used the following sketch from Sketch Saturday.

For this card, I used MFT deer, stitched oval scallop edge frame, birch trees, stitched snow drifts, and fishtail flags. The background was created with Gansai Tambi watercolors.

The stamped sentiment is by Whimsical Designs (retired).
Other Challenges:

Time to go wrap some presents and get the tree ready.

Warm Cocoa

Happy Wednesday,

It's the day before Thanksgiving here in the States and that also means Black Friday shopping starts soon. We went to Best Buy this afternoon after a movie and lunch, and there were already 3 or 4 people waiting in the que line outside (didn't see any tents this year). The weather isn't that cold, so I don't think they will needing any hot cocoa but I sure would enjoy some.

Today's project...
As the weather gets chillier this season, a cup of cocoa will warm your heart (my belly too).

I used the following sketch from Stella Says Sketch

The cocoa mug, stiched circle, and fishtail sentiment strip is by My Favorite Things and the stamped sentiment is by Whimsical Designs (retired). The blue self-adhesive gems are by Eyelet Outlet and Brads.
Other Materials:
core'dinations pattern paper
white, cream, brown, and teal cardstock
MFT scalloped edge die
VersaMagic Gingerbread ink

Other Challenges:

Have a wonderful night!

Hello Challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to Carson's Creations! I am glad you are stopping by to see what I have been creating. Two days in a row...and I am definitely going to try for three. Today brings a new challenge at Die Cuttin' Diva and after a couple months off I am joining again.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Hello ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I just recently received a couple cards from crafty friends and I wanted to be able to return one to them, so this challenge is the perfect way to share a friendly "Hello".

I used the following colors from the My Favorite Things Color Challenge for my background.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks (need to get some oxides still): squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, and dusty concord. A little water was splattered to create a snowy appearance.

The HELLO, deer, and stitched snow drift dies are from MFT.
I hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Hellochallenge. Be sure to check out the other design team projects.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Be My Pal...Always

Hello Crafty Friends,

I am on Fall/Thanksgiving Break this week (Yippee) and I am really enjoying myself already. This is the first time we have had all week off and I sure am glad since I have been so involved with school this year. I went to MFT on Saturday, took a card class with Pam, and bought a bunch of new stamps and dies. Now I am playing with them. Once day (sooner than later) I am going to have to work on the camera/lighting adjustments. I need to figure out how to get bright, crisp pictures again with these new LED lights. Any suggestions?!?!

Today's project...
I wanted to join a challenge at My Favorite Things, so I decided to give the sketch a try.

This week's sketch from My Favorite Things.

I used MFT Tiny Checks paper, Happy Pawlidays puppy stamp, and Polar Pals stamped sentiment. I used Illustrator markers by Spectrum Noir (Poppy, Sorbet, Sandstone, and Golden Brown). I added some Clear Glitter Wink of Stella to the white part of Santa's hat.
 Other Materials:
white cardstock
Versafine Onyx Black ink
MFT ~ Square Frames
MFT ~ Blueprints 15 and 27
red self-adhesive pearls

Be sure to come back tomorrow for Die Cuttin' Diva's weekly challenge. I have a project to share! It has been way too long and I am thrilled to be able to participate again.

Georgiana
