Eek! I Have Missed an Entire Week

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends,

I finally had time to sit down today and make a Halloween card after being out of commission for a week. First, I went home sick with no voice last Thursday. Couldn't teach without talking...and kids do not understand sign language all that well either. Then, my son got sick. I had to get him from college and bring him to the ER. He is better now and back at school. Finally, first quarter ended and grades were due.

What a week!

 Here is my Halloween card...
Materials:
scrap papers
dark purple cardstock
Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge ~ witch hat (p. 68) flipped and cut at 2 1/4"
All Mixed Up Cricut cartrisge ~ circles cut at 5" and 5 1/4"
orange ribbon
purple button
orange and green gems
eek! eposxy sticker by Recollection

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

A Love Potion While Thinking of You

Good Morning,

My daughter laughed at me when I started to make this card. She thought a paper doily on a card would look funny. After I showed her my "Love Potion" creation she stopped laughing and decided they were a neat embellishment to use.
Have you ever used a paper doily on your project? This was a first time (if I have used one before it was quite some time ago since these have been in my stash for at least a year) and I am still trying to figure out the best way to adhere them. I used a stick glue and it was all over my hands as I pressed down to get the creases out. Yuck! If you have tips, please let me know!

Materials:
Martha Stewart paper ~ In Key and Heart pad
white, cream, and black card stock
pink doily
Mini Monsters cartridge ~ princess (p. 47) cut at 2 1/2" and cauldron (p. 67) cut at 1"
Martha Stewart heart punch
Spellbinders lacey circles
white and pink heart ribbon
red heart button
senitment was computer generated

Challenges:

I used scraps for this card. I also have a box of die cuts that are collecting, so I decided it is time to use them. I am going to sort through them and try to incorporate a couple pieces each week. I used the tag for this card. I think it came from the Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I sure do like the design of the cut. I tried using a gel pen to add the white dots. I definitely need to practice with that pen, but I can see why so many people add faux stitching with it. It makes it "pop".

Exciting News...
I am pleased to be able to announce that I was selected to be a part of the Made Especially for You design Team. Our first challenge will begin Monday, February 6th. Looking forward to this opprotunity along with new challenges. Thanks Ashley!
