Anything Goes at Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was our school's Science Fair. It was the first one that I help organized and it went well. I tallied all the scores last night and the winners will be announced today during our Sauce and Science Night. We have a science museum (Orlando Science Center) coming to school with 15 different stations for the students to enjoy.

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...

~ Anything Goes ~

Here is my Design Team project...

I just fell in love with this MFT Entwined Hearts die when it was first released and I like it even more now that I have actually used it myself. It cut the glitter paper so smoothly.

I cut the die twice...once in red to get the outline and then in black to piece together the inside of the hearts. So many options with mixing and matching!

I used red glitter paper for the MFT word beautiful since that is how I feel about the layout of these hearts. The stamped sentiment is by Scrappy Moms Stamp (closed).

Craftaholics R Us ~ Use Kraft

Hello Everyone,

It's Wednesday, which means we are halfway through this week. 

The challenge at Craftaholics R Us also begins today.

This Week's Challenge...

~ Use Kraft ~

Here is my Design Team project...

I like to make treat containers and even though it is summer with no students, I am thinking ahead. I found this cute mini treat cup with handle by My Scrap Chick and thought the teachers would like this one when it is time to go back to school (Please understand...I am not rushing it...I just thought these were super cute treats.). I decided to give it a try now to see how quick and easy it would be to make a bunch.

After all the pieces were cut on my Cameo in kraft and gingham paper, I started to glue the bottom portion. Then the handle was attached with white brads.

The 2 oz disposable treat cups can be found in the paperware section of your local store. I bought mine at Target this time, but you can find them at Walmart or at a grocery store. The pack is about $3 for 50.

I added organza ribbon, burlap flowers, and a stamped sentiment by Scrappy Moms Stamps.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hello Everyone,

It's Saturday and that means it is just a regular weekend before heading back to school. I graded a few papers this morning, took a 3 1/2 mile walk with a friend, went on an emergency run to Walgreens to get some Benadryl for my dog (she broke out in hives unexpectedly), and now I am sharing some cute purse favors I made for St. Patrick's Day.  Phew! Just another busy day here at Carson's Creations.

I found this bracket purse favor at My Scrap Chick. Super cute for girls, but I bet my boys wouldn't mind since they just care about the treat. : )

I chose kraft, green, and gold for the main colors. The  purse and shamrock were cut with my Cameo. The stamped sentiment is by Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ Mini Messages.

Since I am not in school for St. Patrick's Day I didn't make a set for my class, but I am sharing with my daughter. I will definitely use this file for other holidays and change the color scheme.

~ March Sketch ~

Here is my Design Team project...

I didn't want to miss out on St. Patrick's Day even though I will not be at school with my class (It's Spring Break this week.). 

I used my Cameo to cut the shamrocks and pot of gold. The stitched circles are by My Favorite Things. The gold  glitter enamel dots are by Teresa Collins.

The fishtail strip is by My Favorite Things and the stamped sentiment is by Scrappy Moms Stamps. I used yellow embroidery floss to make the miniature bows.

Anything Goes Challenge at Craftaholics R Us

This Week's Challenge...

~ Anything Goes ~

Here is my Design Team project...

I enjoy playing with watercolors because the colors and design is always different. You never know what you will get when the colors dry, you layer additional colors on top of each other, or you just let the colors blend naturally. I used picked raspberry and worn lipstick oxide inks for both of these backgrounds. I splattered some raspberry, white, and silver too. I then used the MFT abstract heart and cut it a few times in various colors with my Cuttlebug. 

For this one I added some embroidery floss, silver enamel dots, LOVE die-cut, and you was stamped and heat embossed with silver powder.

For the second card, the stamped sentiment is by Scrappy Moms Stamps and the ribbon is by Melissa Frances. I used micro sized Glue Dots to adhere the crinkled ribbon and bow.

Celebration Time at Craftaholics R Us

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Wednesday!

Thanks for stopping by. Today I am joining the Craftaholics R Us Design Team as a floater. This is perfect for me since I want to craft more, find guest designer spots, but still not have to worry if I miss one challenge because of a school engagement. 

This Week's Challenge...

~ Celebration Cards ~

Here is my Design Team project...

I love creating backgrounds with watercolors since every one is unique, and this one used my new Tim Holtz oxide inks (worn lipstick, wilted violet, and broken china) and a Pentel waterbrush.

I used the Freshly Made Sketches layout for my card.

I used my blending tool and added oxide inks to white cardstock. I misted a bit of water and after it dried splattered a few drops of white paint. Then, I cut out the three balloons with my Cameo.

 Sometimes I like to use craft thread since it is thin and comes in a variety of colors. The ribbon is by Melissa Frances (bought it at the Scrapbook Expo last year).

The stamped sentiment is by Scrappy Moms Stamps.

Thankful For You Crow From Miss Kate Cuttables

Hello Everyone,

I sure hope everyone is doing well. I have been EXTREMELY busy with school (LOTS of changes and student needs this year), which is why I am having a tough time getting myself to the craft room to create on a regular basis. I have made a few projects (Create a Critter baby shower ensemble and a couple cupcake birthday cards) during the past month and I went to a class at My Favorite Things, but didn't take pictures to post. Also, my hubby got me new LED lights for my photo box (I broke one of my old lights during Hurricane Irma) and I haven't figured out how to adjust the settings on my camera YET (that is why my photo coloring is a bit off).

We have a week off at Thanksgiving and two weeks off for Winter Break; therefore, I am being optimsitic that I will find time to create then. My daughter will be home from college too, so I may even have a crafting buddy. That would make me happy!

Mouse Pumpkin at Miss Kate Cuttables

Hello Miss Kate Cuttables Fans,

Hard to believe it is already October. The end of first quarter ends at school next Friday (the 13th). Although Hurricane Irma caused us to miss 6 days of school, we are still plugging away to get all the material covered. I have been extremely busy with a diverse group of students and never seem to have enough time in the day to do everything I want to do. My principal just asked to me to consider mentoring a new teacher (possibly at another school), so time will need to be carefully scheduled to accomplish everything.

Today is my day to share at Miss Kate Cuttables.  

Here is my Design Team project...

I told my husband that I am looking forward to sending my daughter a care package this month before Halloween. I claimed one of his boxes and put it on the side, so I can start gathering some goodies when I go to the store this weekend. I am going to include this card since she is a BIG Disney fan. I think she will like the pumpkin with mouse ears.

Way to Go!

Hello Crafty Friends,

As Hurricane Irma gets closer to the Florida penisula and our school district is closed for a long weeknd so the shelters can open, I am home hoping for the best. I have been watching the news every day this week and paying very close attention to the predicted paths since there is a good chance the storm could pass right over us as a Category 3 or 4. My husband has been scheduled to work at one of the shelters, so we can only hope nothing major happens.

Onto a more upbeat topic...it is my day to share at Miss Kate Cuttables. 

 Here is my Design Team project...

My class started using a computer program by Achieve3000. I have a few students that are already excelling and earning LOTS of points. Yesterday one of my students earned "World Leader" and the day before that he was "Florida Leader", so I made him a surprise postcard.

I think this smiling tablet by Miss Kate Cuttables will be a perfect reward. It was SUPER easy to make, so I may create some more since I am going to be home for a few days.

The stamped sentiment is a combination of two clear acrylic stamps. The top one is Scripty Sayings by Lawn Fawn and the bottom one is by Scrappy Moms Stamps.

A Loving Raccoon Couple

Hello Crafty Friends,

As many people watch the Superbowl and commercials, I am in my craft area enjoying my time. I created a list of things to do this morning and I have happily crossed off many items. I have a couple more tasks, but I am pleased with what I accomplished.  

This raccoon couple looks a bit mischievous, but they sure are in love with one another.

This Woodland Valentine file is from KaDoodle Bug Designs and I cut it out with my Cameo. I added a little red glitter glue to the heart. You can never have too much sparkle.

The stamped sentiment is by Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ With All My Heart set. I added a couple red heart shaped gems by Recollections on the end of the MFT banner.

It's Fabulous to Be Forever Yours

Here is my Design Team project...
Every now and then I like to use the Zutter Distress tool, but my hubby doesn't quite like it so much. It is noisy, but works great!

The fabulous die cut was received from a crafty friend, Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. The stamped sentiment beneath it is by Scrappy Moms Stamps. The hearts were cut with a MFT die on my Cuttlebug.

Hershey Nuggets Make A Happy Day!

Happy Sunday...well, sort of...we are in the midst of a tornado warning with severe storms in the area. Hoping everyone stays safe! We are inside where it is dry and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the power does not go out. I want to get two more projects done tonight. 

For today's project I'd like to share a file by SVG Cutting Files. It was from a Valentine Hop last year, but I never made it. So glad I remembered and found it! I cut it out on my Cameo.

The sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ With All My Heart set was stamped on a MFT fishtail flag.

The treat box file is called Arched Nugget Polar Bear Heart (It is still available in the store.). I wrapped Hershey chocolate nuggets with matching pattern paper.
