Today is the last day of Winter Break! Boo Hoo! Even though I was sick with bronchitis for most of my vacation, I still enjoyed the time off. I am looking forward to going back to school in the morning and seeing my students. I am sure they will have on new clothes and have LOTS of stories to share!
I spent a few hours in the classroom this afternoon getting lesson plans and literacy centers ready. Time to get back into learning mode! I have planned for most of January, so only a little tweaking will be needed throughout the month. That should allow me to craft during the week since I have LOTS of projects I want to work on.
Here is a card I made not too long ago. It was for a telecommunication student who just graduated from UNF ~ University of North Florida, which is in Jacksonville. It is a beautiful school that sits on a 500 acre nature preserve. Oh yeah...these are the school colors too!
She is going to be working for a TV station, so I added the Nifty Fifties television (p. 32) cut.
I created the banner after I typed and printed the sentiment. I used Harrington font.
Other Materials:
grey, dark blue, black, and white card stock
Plantin Schoolbook ~ font cut at 1/2"
Swiss Dots embossing folder
Scalloped Edge punch
blue ink
blue pearls
Be safe and stay warm this week with all the snow storms! BRRR!!!
