3 Girl JAM Daily Post ~ Happy Day Before Halloween

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is my day to share at 3 Girl JAM and I sure do love that I have been able to craft a little during the past week! I used a popular product from the 3 Girl JAM shop on my project...crinkle ribbon.

Here is my Design Team project...
This is probably going to be one of my last Halloween cards for this season, unless I get the urge to make one more for Friday. I am ready for the trick or treaters...at least until the candy runs out!

I used the following sketch

I used Iris and Summer Sprinkles crinkle ribbon to make a double bow. The witch is a sticker from Recollections.

Don't forget about our monthly challenge...
Spooky or Creepy
Last day to enter is October 31st
Prize: $15 Gift Certificate to 3 Girl JAM store

What a fun challenge that can be used for any occasion.

Here is my Design Team project...
I used the following sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I thought the "Cloudy" colored skittles made perfect bubbles. I also used "Chunky Rose" in the corners.

Here is the other September release stamp set from Scrappy Moms.

Hope you will join us at DoubleClick Skittles this week for our "Polka Dots/Circles" challenge. The other design team members have done a fantastic job, so be sure to check them out!

Halloween Challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...Halloween
Pumpkins, ghost, monsters, and candy are some of the things I think about on Halloween.

My Design Team Project...
frightening treat box with a creepy spider.

The box was cut from a My Scrap Chick file and the label die-cut on the front is a Spellbinder. The spider is from Miss Kate Cuttables.

I found this party paper stuffing at the Dollar Tree.

Here is one of the stamp sets from Scrappy Mom's September stamp release. I was Guest Designer and still enjoy using both sets. You can still get your set today!

The striped ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

You're Spook-tacular Treat Bags

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today was another busy day...took my daughter to a different art festival (FAFO), so she could get some volunteer hours for one of her school clubs. While she was doing her good deed, I went shopping. I went to Michaels and found some AWESOME Halloween deals that I couldn't pass up...70% off plus my teacher discount. My students are going to be SUPER excited on Friday. We do not have any type of school-wide activity planned, but they will get a surprise treat bag when they leave for the day.

After picking up my daughter I went right home and got my treat bags done! My students should be surprised and thrilled with the goodies. I had these spider cellophane bags left from last year and the twine came from Target's dollar bin. The tag was cut with the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge at 2 1/4".
Here are all the treats that filled the bags...pencils, erasers, notepads, pinballs, and miniature candy bars (The candy was on sale at CVS and I had two coupons I could use.).

I made 23 1/2 bags...I need to get some different candy for the last bag. I have a student that cannot eat chocolate, so I am going to get some Skittles and Starburst.

I sure do like this stamp! It is perfect for my students! I found the set at Michaels too...it is by Hampton Arts and it was on sale for $2.99 (and I used my teacher discount for these too...I love a good deal!)

Hope you had a fabulous weekend. I did not get everything on my list accomplished, but it feels good to get a few items crossed off. Tomorrow is another day!

Happy Birthday

Hello Crafty Friends,

Found a little time this evening to craft after going to the McIntosh Art Festival earlier today. There were so many creative and talented vendors at this annual show. I found a snowman head for one of our doors and they personalized for free. While waiting to get our name added (it was a 2 hour wait...that is how busy the festival was), we went to lunch at Red Robin for a special treat...Yummm! Afterwards, we came home and I was looking forward to making a few cards.

Here is a birthday card using some masculine colors.

I used the following sketch from Inspired by Stamping, but the submission deadline already passed. I used a Stampin' Up stamp set that a friend gave to me after she cleaned out her closet. I sure do like this stamp! The jumbled letters look cool!

Here is a close-up of the sentiment as the focal point. I added a few pearls and then the twine bow on a coordinating button.

Hope you had time to craft today! I have a few more projects on my list that I hope to accomplish tomorrow.

Spooky, But Frightfully Cute at DoubleClick Skittles

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

The Challenge...Spooky
Use two of the following colors...orange, purple, green, or black

Here is my Design Team project...
I created a fun Halloween bottle that can hold long thin treats...Twizzlers or Pixie sticks will fit perfectly inside. I found the witch hazel bottle by Lori Whitlock at the Silhouette On-line store (#33327).

Lettuce colored skittles around the scalloped cap and green and orange crinkle ribbon decorate the neck of the bottle along with a white twine bow and black button. The sentiment from Craftin' Desert Divas is stamped in black.

I removed the  witch image that was part of the framed background with a monster from Little Scraps of Heaven. I think he is cute in a frightful way.

Mad Scientist at Work!

Hello Crafty Friends,

Gotta' say...this is how I feel! Like a crazy scientist! For the past two weeks I have been doing school work non-stop. The group of students I have this year are different than the last two years, so I do more planning, more tutoring, more practice work, more grading, etc. I know it will pay off in the end! In the meantime...

My daughter gave this fun treat box to her science teacher. He liked it...even the green and yellow boogers in the test tube.

This treat box is a svg file from My Scrap Chick. The test tube is by Martha Stewart. I found the eyeball candy at Target.

See...it really is boogers in the test tube! : )
Other Materials:
white, black, tan, and neon green card stock
black ink

Hoping to find more time to craft during the next week or two!

Breast Cancer Awareness at DoubleClick Skittles

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

The Challenge...Use Pink
Breast Cancer Awareness
Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also referred to in America as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

Here is my Design Team project...
A breast cancer monkey from KaDoodle Bug Designs on a postage stamp card base.

Pretty pink skittles...do you have yours?!?!

That is a My Craft Spot Tiny Tags stamps. These mini stamps are just the perfect size.

October Sketch at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...A Sketch
This one looks a bit difficult (it is suppose to be a challenge), but use your imagination and you will be amazed with what you create.

My Design Team Project...
Even I was a bit stumped at first when I created this sketch. The key was finding just the right paper to coordinate and then the matching die-cut. Since this is my favorite time of year I thought a cute girl scarecrow would be ideal.

The scarecrow is from My Scrap Chick and is part of the Fall Treat Boxes file. I decided not to make the box this time, but a card instead. She was easy to cut on the Cameo. Her heart checks match the leaves in the background.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Sketch" challenge. The other design team members have done a magnificent job using this sketch, so be sure to check them out!

Hope you will join the challenge this week!

I used the following sketch...
What a great way to layer numerous pattern papers.

Here is a close-up of the Scrappy Moms sentiment.

Yummm...I Love Pie!

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by! Today is an extremely busy day, just like every other day (school sure has been hectic this year). I have been making wedding cards, baby shower invitations, Halloween treats for school, and Design Team projects. I am so happy that I have the opportunity to share a new project, but I have combined a few different products to highlight...ribbon, a stamp, and some skittles.

First, 3 Girl JAM has fabulous crinkle ribbon in various colors. I am using the Halloween Harvest from Seasons Bundle. Isn't it perfect for Autumn? I used micro size glue dots to pleat the ribbon, which prevents it from unraveling.

The Seasons Bundle @ 3 Girl JAM ~ $5.97

Being a teacher, I enjoy a play on words. Check out this stamp by Scrappy Moms! I love pie! I had to share with my daughter too and she said, "I get it mom, I love math too!"

Be sure to get your September Release at Scrappy Moms Stamps. I used All About Fall. There is another set (that I will be sharing again) called See You Later Alligator!

Lastly, I added two types of Skittles by Carri. I used rust and citrus (shown below). Be sure to get some of  these fun embellishments for your projects.

Other Materials:
KaDoodle Bug ~ Baking Goodies svg file
Core Coordination pattern paper
brown, white, silver, red, and green card stock
brown ink

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the new 3 Girl JAM challenge.
