Let's Grow, Grow, Grow with a Spring Thing

Hello Friends!

I am running a little behind today with my Exploring Cricut project, but I have a very good reason. Actually there are a couple of reasons. First, my daughter's 15th birthday is tomorrow (Tuesday) so we went out with the grandparents this past weekend. Second, all my school projects (see below) have been requiring a lot of attention. It is very exciting to watch the excitement in the classroom.

The challenge at Exploring Cricut is...Spring Theme with a recipe
1 button, 2 Cricut cuts, and 3 pattern papers
I used the following sketch from Sassy Cheryl's.
My button is part of the flower, the butterflies and the sentiment are Cricut cuts, and I used Heidi Grace pattern paper.

It's a Spring Thing also means...
plants and flowers.
Look what we are growing at school!
We made foldables for the parts of a flower and the plant life cycle, then created a poster.
We are growing Zinnias and Cosmos from seeds.
One of our stations is Carrot Tops. LOOK! I am growing!
This is a sweet potato sprouting roots.
The students document in their Science notebook their observations each day.

Today we started the Life Cycle of a Mealworm.
Each student has their own plastic container with their own mealworm. They will document their observations each day until the life cycle is complete.

As you see, we have been busy learning.
More projects to come!

Stay Creative and Keep Learning!

  6. WOW- you have some really neat things going on in your classroom! I love your card, and it sounds like a fabulous challenge! Happy Birthday to your daughter--my son just turned 18--aye--they grow up way too fast! I am thinking of starting some flowers for the daycare kiddos to give their Moms for Mothers Day...how long did it take for your flowers to start?
