Welcome Back Crafty Friends,
What a great weekend. I am just sad it went by so quickly. We finally got the Christmas tree and decorated it last night. It is a little smaller than we usually get, but it fits perfectly in the space we wanted. We put a few presents underneath to build anticipation with the kids. We told them no shaking or peeking, but my son has the tendency to be able to lift a package and tell what it is. Hmmm...not sure how he does it. Hopefully, we will have a few surpises this year. :)
I remember growing up always hearing,"It is better to give than to receive." I am so glad we were raised that way. In the spirtit of giving, here is a new card.
Made a tag to match.
Materials:
Colorbok paper
Stretch Your Imagination cartridge ~ presents cut at 2" and 3"
Thanksgiving cartidge ~ Give
red and green cardstock
Cuttlebug embossing folders ~ swirls and Swiss dots
Green sparkle ribbon
Challenges:
Lastly, here is a picture of our tree (plus my dog) for the Christmas Tree Link Up Party at DoubleClick Connections.
Enjoy your week. Only a few days for us. I sure hope we can get all the work done we need to in class. Can you believe we have 2 - 3 tests (reading, math, and maybe Science)? Then we have a music perfromance, a Field trip, and DARE graduation today. WOW!
Stay Creative,
Georgiana
Love the card and the tag. Great embossing.

Beautiful card! Your tree is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Sounds like you have been a very busy lady, your cards turned out very nice as always and your tree is just stunning. I must say that is one big dog! What kind is he or she? Our dog is just a tiny thing and loves to sleep under the Christmas tree. Thanks for stopping by my blog I always look forward to seeing your smily face.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Georgiana! Your tree is great!

Very cute idea...I like it. Simple but pretty. Thank you for taking time to play on Come and Get Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteGreat card...next time when wrapping your presents...alter the shapes and wrap them in pop boxes, cereal boxes etc...and add a jingle bell inside. This wards off the peekers and the shakers. Lee-Ann :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card G! Great paper! Love your tree and your pup sleeping under it, looking so comfy!

What a great set! I love the deep colours you've used for your card and tag.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a great tree too (and such a wonderful dog as well)!
Really cute card! Congrats on your win over at cardz TV. My husband picks up gifts and shakes them and knows what is in there too so one year I put a brick in the box to make it much heavier. I actually was able to fool him that year! Your tree is pretty.

Beautiful card and tag!! Love your tree, too. My hubby can do the shake and tell, too!! Drives me nuts!! I may try CA Scrapper's trick!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, awesome project!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. Thanks for joining us at One Stop Card Crafts this week. luv gina xx
ReplyDeleteCute card! And I think it is better to give than to receive! I have more fun watching people open what I gave them than opening gifts myself!
ReplyDeleteLove that card, G! It's so "Christmas-y!" Your tree looks pretty and your dog very comfy with his own present! Love it. Looks like everyone's been very good this year to have all those presents under the tree already!!--Pat N.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can throw off your son by wrapping small presents in a bigger box, or wrapping loose bells inside the box so when he shakes it the sound might confuse him! lol and your puppy is almost as big as your tree, that is one big doggie!
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks gorgeous. I love the pup sitting right in front, adorable.
ReplyDeleteI love, love the card and tag you made, the embossing is just perfect.
Great job on both.
