Lots of Layers at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to Carson's Creations
I have been super busy working out lately and taking quite a few classes at our local Y.  I am hoping to tone up and lose some weight before school starts in three weeks . The scale hasn't changed much, so I am being optimistic it is muscles since I am taking a bunch of strength training classes. Today I am feeling it, so I hope that means it is working.

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. Every Tuesday a new theme is posted and we always have a Guest Diva and a generous sponsor.

This Week's Challenge...
Lots of Layers ~

Here is my Design Team project...
Our sponsor, Dreaming Tree, offered a file to each design team member. Leo, founder, has numerous free files to try and elaborate svg files for the more advanced artist. I chose the Give a Gift Bundle and here is one of the five pieces. It is called Dainty Gift Bag

I used my Cameo to cut the svg file and assembled it using a Zig glue pen. I did watch a video on how to assemble the pieces because the first one I made I did glue the front flap on incorrectly.

The teal polka dot paper is by Core'dinations and the striped paper is by PhotoPlay.

Springtime Thank You Bags for Trendy Twine

Hello Everyone! Happy April...no fooling here!

Today I am back as Trendy Twine's Spring Guest Designer again. I am thrilled to share a couple different color combinations that are perfect for this time of year. My AP asked me to make some treat bags for the teachers and staff that were involved with 3rd Grade Reading FSA. I jumped at the opportunity since I knew everyone has been working so hard this school year. What a great way to show them they are appreciated and to keep them motivated!

I used Grape Fizz Trendy Twine for the purple butterfly bags.

I used Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine for the red and yellow butterfly bags.

This twine works wonderfully with mini tags.

Be sure to get your Grape Fizz and Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine today!

You can find these great twine colors along with many more by visiting the Annie's Paper Boutique store

What Have You Always Wanted?

Hello Everyone!

Being on Winter Break is a joyous time. I have been able to walk with my friend for the past two mornings, I trimmed some overgrown plants after that, I have made a list of house tasks that need to be completed, we looked at a TLC house for my son (he wants a fixer up for his first house/investment), and I was able to get crafty! What a day! I hope every day is this productive.

Here is today's project...
I made twin scalloped gift bags by Lori Whitlock that I cut on my Cameo. The pattern paper is by Bo Bunny ~ Holly Jolly Dots, the stitched circle die is by MFT, and the red tulle was in my stash along with the ribbon used for the handles.

The stamped sentiment is by My Favorite Things ~ Gifting Fun stamp set.

Doesn't every one want coal for Christmas? I thought it was a good gag gift. Of course, I would not give this alone! What are the top three crafting supplies you want for Christmas? I want Ken Oliver's Color BurstGansai Tambi watercolors, and lots of MFT dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful week.
Happy Holidays,

To Someone Special

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by! It's time for week two of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...
Flower, Tree, or Plant

Here is my Design Team project...
I created a tag, which I cut on my Cameo for this Kraft gift bag that I purchased at Dollar Tree for my secret pal. These plain bags come in handy since they are so easy to decorate.
The layered flower is part of a file (Nail Polish Trio) from My Scrap Chick. I chose this shade of blue because it matches the treats inside the bag. There is a black skittle in the center of the flower. All the petals were carefully separated to add a bit of dimension. The stamped sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ With All My Heart set. I masked off a part of the sentiment to use just the lower portion I needed. Finally, I added the crinkle ribbon bow and Sailboat Blue skittles.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the "Flower, Tree, or Plant" challenge at DoubleClick Skittles. Be sure to check out the other Design Team members.

Thanks for stopping by!
