Hope you are enjoying your week so far. The storm has finally passed over Florida and all is well here. Lots of rain, but we were very fortunate not to have any damage or flooding.

Since there was not much opportunity to get outside, I was able to get a little crafting done. I started working on my birthday cards for school. I want to have a collection for the teachers and my class before school starts in August.

Here is my project for today...

Did Anyone Tell You?

Jo-Ann's is having a sale! All their red ticket items are another 50% off. I got all this for $20. Yes, a Cricut cartridge ($7.48), Cuttlebug embossing folder ($1.48), 2 Zig glue pens ($1.48 - 1.98), buttons, and ribbon (.25 - .50), 50 card bases with envelopes ($1.97), 12 X 12 cardstock (.05), and black and white cardstock (.98). I am hoping to visit another one tomorrow to see what they might have.

Black, Pink, and Green

I have a few cards that I would like to share with you. I made these cards with K&Company (Amy Butler Lotus) paper that I purchased from Michaels for only $2.99. I LOVE great deals since I am very frugal, and this definitely was one. This paper is double sided, so I was able to use only one sheet plus a piece of pink cardstock I found in my scrap pile.

This evening I bought Kate's ABCs from Joanns while it was on sale and I was able to use my teacher discount to get another 15% off. I am looking forward to making some projects using this cartridge since I have seen  so many cute ones. I wish they would have had Camping Critters because I would have purchased that one too. I guess it will have to stay on my Wish List for now. What's on your wish list?

Celebrate Your Birthday and More Crafty Deals

Happy Monday and a wonderful Memorial Day to those who are celebrating. It has been a relaxing day here since we went shopping all day yesterday. We traveled to Jacksonville (FL) in search of some great deals at the craft stores  (I found a few which are posted below.) and my hubby made a trip to Gander Mountain while out and about. He got himself a manly treat, so it was worth his time too.

I finished up these two birthday cards this morning.

The paper is We R Memory Keepers ~ Madame Royale.

I used the Celebrations cartridge to cut the party hat and present. Both are adhered with foam strips to add dimension. The Celebrate sentiment was cut at 1" from the same cartridge.

The flowers with gems (above) are from Scrapbuck.com. The flowers below are from Joanns (orange) and Michaels (pink). The big pink brads are from Joanns too.

 ALL materials were purchased on sale, with coupons, or found on clearance. I hardly ever buy anything at regular price. I am able to purchase more for my money by finding unbelievable deals.

 Here is one more for a fellow teacher. She asked for a card for her Mother using her favorite colors. The bird was cut from the Serenade cartridge at 3" and Mother was cut from Heritage at 3/4". I will bring it to her tomorrow and hopefully it will be to her satisfaction. She asked for a Father's Day card also (with browns and blues), so I am going to work on that next.

 Don't forget to decorate the inside of the card and then the outside of the envelope. It is a sneak peek of what is going to be inside. It is also a way to use those scraps that seem to pile up quickly.

Here are some more deals I found yesterday.

The best deals can be found at your Ross, TJMaxx, or Marshalls if you are willing to search thru their "sometimes messy" shelves. I always look for the edge punches there before anywhere else. They occasionally have the Martha Stewart edge punches for $4.99. I only bought one yesterday, but they actually had 4 or 5 different styles. I know in a day or two I will be wishing I bought the others. Look for your paper pads there too. I found the Sports K&Company pad for $1.49 and the cat stamps were only 70 cents at TJMaxx.

 This paper was $2.00 per pack at ACMoore.

Did anyone else find some good deals this weekend? Where do you find the best prices for your craft supplies or biggest selection? Do you prefer ordering on-line? Just curious!

My New Goodies from the Scrapbook Expo and Orlando Trip

Today was a wonderful day, except for the little goof I made this morning...I forgot my cell phone at home on the charger.  I worried most of the day that someone would call me or I would break down and not be able to call anyone. When I got home this evening it was still on the charger with a dozen missed messages. No emergencies though. Thank goodness!

I was reminded what it was like before we had cell phones and life still went on! Now I wonder why I even worried.

I did get lots of goodies today and talked to a bunch of really nice poeple while standing in the lines. I watched a few Make-n-Takes but did not do any. They were very basic layouts which looked more like free exploration time.

Eyelet Outlet and Brads ~ $1.00 per bag ~ lots of variety. I purchased poodles, saws (for Father's Day), lightbulbs (love your idea), sparkles, winter critters, dalmations, and flowers. DollarScrapbooking.net ~ ALL items I picked were $1.00 

 ScrapYard 329 ~ green and brown fibers and a pack of metal sheets ~ $1.00 each. This vendor had such a great selection of scrapbooking supplies such as Basic Grey and Tim Holtz products.

After I left the Scrapbook Expo I planned on going to Michaels. I was hoping to pick up a few more deals before heading home. One of the tables actaully had a manager from one of the stores. I asked for directions and she said turn left out of the parking lot. Well, I turned left but ended up at Disney. After turning around and driving by the resort again, I realized there was another exit she must have been referring to. I finally found three more Michaels after a few tolls, trying to search with the GPS, and remembering where I had seen one in the past. It is a good thing no one was with me. They probablly would not have enjoyed the ride as much as me.  : )

 Michaels ~ Tim Holtz paper was on clearance for $4.99, plastic containers also on clearance for $1.99, the variety pack, brown gems, and bird images 99 cents. I used my 40% off coupons for the bottom two pieces (red florals and cupcake stickers).

So Many Fabulous Deals

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is enjoying the after Christmas sales and finding some great deals. I have read about a few (Carri, Tara, and Michelle) and thought about sharing some of the goodies that I have found. I am the frugal shopper/crafter (My daughter calls me cheap, but frugal sounds so much better! Wouldn't you agree?). 

I found these stickers at: Carlton Cards at our mall for 75% (Christams ones on the left) and 90% (Sugar and Spice on front left) off, Joanns 60% (Sandylion on right) off, Hobby Lobby 50%, and Michaels buy 2, get 1 free.

Lots of embellishments for 40 to 60% off. When I go to Joanns I can also use my teacher card for another 15% off. The heart brads (back left) are from Hobby Lobby and were 50% off. I am getting ready for Valentines early! Oh yeah, Target's dollar section was 50% off too.

I used a gift card from my sister to buy these at Micheals (except Thinking of You stamp which I purchased at Hobby Lobby for 50% off). The tape was reg $14.99 for $5.99 and the stamps were 60 cents.

These paper packs were 50% off at Hobby Lobby, so they were only $2.50. Wow! There are some really cute designs and lots of different colors. I got the last silver metallic paper at Michaels (Yeah!) for $1.59.

My last deal of the day was PaperCrafting Pro. I bought 3 new cartridges (Simply Charmed, Create a Critter and Give a Hoot) for $13.00 each. Shipping was pretty good and the delivery time is less than a week. I have tried to win these carts on eBay but have been unsuccessful, so I am pleased!

What an Amazing Deal!

My daughter and I went shopping on Sunday afternoon and I had to share the deal of the day that I found at Michaels. I realize every store is different, but keep your eye open for other wonderful deals with Black Friday approaching.

I found this Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page set on clearance for $12.99 (regular price was $24.99) and I thought that was a good buy. When I went to the register I gave the cashier a 40% off coupon to be used for a pair of $1.00 scissors I picked up for my daughter (since she is always taking mine or the kitchen pair). Well, when I looked at the receipt in the car I saw that the coupon was applied to the punch. I received another $5.20 off. Yeah! I didn't know you could use a coupon on clearance items. This was the 2nd time it has happened. Hmmm? Is that normal?

The other fantastic deal I found was in the rear of the same store...Halloween products were 90% off. I picked up a stack of stickers/gems and the cashier had to look twice. It was less than $2.00 for my goodies. Each item was no more than 20 cents. For that price I can put them away and some I can use for other projects. There are stars, diamonds, and silver and black Bling swirls that do not even look like Halloween. How cool!

Tomorrow is the last day of school, then 5 days off. I am super excited. We may go to Disney World/Hollywood Studios on Wednesday to see the Osborne lights. It is a spectaular sight! Has anyone every seen them before? If so, what did you think?

Gotta' Love a Deal

My daughter and I went shopping before I head back to school tomorrow and we found some GREAT deals.

Disney paper at Joann for 10 cents each and Disney stickers were 99 cents at Michaels

6X6 designer paper stack on clearance for $1.00 at Marshalls

Target's dollar section had yellow dot items for 50% off (My friend said they are now 75%.). These will be perfect for the scrapbook club for school.

I am ready to start creating projects for Halloween now. I even bought a stamp (not pictured) and used the 40% off a regular price item at Michaels.

Halloween stack was 40% off and individual sheets were 5 for $1.00 at Joann

Teacher Appreciation at Joann's was this past Saturday and Sunday and teachers received another 20% their total purchase.

Joann's Scrapbooking section had super deals if you were willing to take your time and look. The best buys were the 1/16" hole punch for 97 cents and the edge punch for $3.97 which was regular price $14.99. YEAH!
