Let's Celebrate with a Music Scale

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy Sunday! It is Spring Break here and that means it is time to enjoy some R & R time! There are only about 8 weeks of school (with LOTS of standardized testing in between) then summer vacation. Once again this school year has flown by!

Today I would like to share a card I made for my Guest Designer spot at Scrappy Moms Stamps (March Release) and the Die Cuttin' Diva challenge (Music in our Schools).
I started with a hexagon base (4 1/2") cut from Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge and layered the pattern paper slightly smaller (4"). The music note (3") was cut from the Quarter Note Cricut cartridge. I added a layer of Glossy Accents to just the black note (not the flourish). Lastly, 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon (wine colored) was bunched with micro Glue Dots along the bottom.

When I first saw this sentiment from Zodiac Cuties I did think of a fish, but decided to go with the other meaning (I love teaching homographs to my students.). I think it is perfect for a music theme!
Other Materials:
white, black, and red card stock
music pattern paper ~ Paper Studio
Versafine Onyx Black ink

Be sure to get your stamp set today!
Svg outline file available too!

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

  4. What a neat card! That crinkle ribbon really adds to it. We work spring break but since there aren't classes it is a breeze. But you are right... now it is all downhill to the end of the term. No time for slacking.
